Excellent Hotel Near OR Tambo International Airport”

I stayed at Afrique Boutique Hotel O R Tambo in Boksburg overnight as I waited for my flight back home. The property exceeded my expectations. Check-in and Check-out were a breeze. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, always ready to tend to my requests. The room was very beautiful and the bed was big and comfortable. There was a courtyard that is very relaxing, and the restaurant, i must say, serves really excellent food - perhaps the best dinner I've had during my entire African trip, and breakfast is super good too! My only regret is that I should have stay in this hotel longer.

I arrived an hour early at the O R Tambo collection point luckily for me my driver was 45 minutes early! Seamless friendly transfer, although i arrived just after 10am and naturally my room wasn't ready, I was offered a complimentary breakfast. My room was ready by 12 with no extra charge for early check in. room was great with my own private balcony with table and chairs. All the staff were very friendly. I had dinner and although I only ordered chicken livers for a starter and a burger for main. I was brought an amuse bouche and a pallet cleanser in between courses. Food was excellentl cooked and presented. Also a good price. Tea and coffee facilities in room and you can request fresh milk. Breakfast next morning was self service with everything you could wish for with an individually ordered and cooked hot course. I couldn't have wished for more. My return transfer was ordered for 0715, the driver was waiting for me when I checked out a few minutes after 7. Would i go back? YES!

An Englishman abroad”

Being a returning guest I am happy always to be met by many familiar faces at this excellent family run property. The accommodation remains as clean and comfortable as before and all staff from reception to waiters and cleaners were their warm, friendly and efficient selves. The lastest recent dining menue is well balanced and all dishes were expertly prepared and a culinary delight with one very minor exception. With an extensive wine selection that would satisfy any palate, a full set of Super Sport channels on the in room TV and a delightful room patio where I can enjoy my evening cigar I have found this oasis along the road to be a place that I am always very happy to return too when visiting Johannesburg and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying in Boksburg either for just an evening or a much longer longer period.

Quaint hotel with great restaurant close to the airport”

This hotel is much nicer on the inside than it looks from the street. Lovely gardens, clean and comfortable rooms with a great restaurant and bar. Staff are excellent.

Pro: Reception accommodated early check-in. Cons: 1. Bathroom was not clean and shower leaked into the bedroom; 2. Breakfast staff were scarcely seen and unfriendly.
