I like the interior with the wooden walls. Well equipped bunks with locker under the bed. Friendly staff. Clean place. Decen toilet and showers... each floor has a corner to chill. FREE coffee! Reliable WiFi.

It was a great stay.. People from the front desk are knowledgeable, friendly and kind enough to help you figure things out about Kuala Lumpur.. Room was average you get what you paid for.. Plus its quite not a place for party people thats for sure.

Clean, comfort & value for money!”
Cleanliness, strategic location & friendly staff.
Agosto Inn is very suitable for backpackers! Cheap and clean! However, the toilets are considered small, it just 2.5/3feet x 4feet and every toilets consist of toilet bowl. Anyway, all toilets were clean all the time. Again, highly recommend to backpackers!

Small, value for money”
I stayed in a single room. The room itself was big enough for the bed and a bit of space to walk into it. Bathrooms and the like were clean enough. Pasar Seni area has restaurants, and the Merdeka Square park with museums is very walkable.

Facts, not opinion”
Location, clean & location
We booked on line with Agoda. Well centered in Chinatown, We were received nicely by a young Bangladeshi. Our room was across the street in the new acquisition. (no kitchen, no free coffee) The cleaning done by a polite lady. A magnetic key open the front door and even the neighbour Submarine GH, we went by mistake. Our room had a large comfortable mattress on a floor box, who was taking All the space, so you needed to put your backpack on the bed. In the room (very tin walls) You have a cover net style blanket smaller than the bed, a good WiFi, no coffee maker (like mention) no towel, no soap (like all hostel & guesthouse visited in last many years), no window, a small shelf, a mirror, 2 hooks to hang your clothes & no private AC but a fan who drag the Air from a central AC in the hall (when in function after 6pm and you don't have control on, so you can be very cold). This is a share bathroom (3 hot shower/toilet cubicles on plain concrete walls, average clean) with an outside long cement sink. Some guests have breakfast included, some have to pay extra 3MYR for toast, jam, coffee & washing their dishes. During the past one thousand weeks of travel, we stayed in dozens of G-House, hostels & Hotels, mostly in Asia. Only 2 times we experienced an inflamed & frustrated over board bad energy owner, a man in Sri Lanka and this Chinese woman of Agosto (see other reviews on her behavior) That's her house, so no question, no demand, ..otherwise...You decide, those are facts, not opinion

curtains, awesome customer service, the whole furniture
We came from another hostel in kuala lumpur where we payed more and were absolutely surprised when we arrived!! Beds are comfortable with curtains and each bed has enaugh plug ins. The whole atmosphere is cozy and friendly, the stuff is doing an awesome job and you get even free coffee and tea :) Although it is right in the middle of the center (perfect location!!) It is very quite inside so you can actually get some rest aswell! I will definetely come back, thank you for everything! :)

A home away from home! ”
Lovely owner Ann, new fresh beautifully new guesthouse, centrally located
For us this is the best place in town to be! Agosto Inn is very homely. They have coffee/tea 24 hours, you even get a free breakfast (and when it's free, we think all people must be grateful with everything you get). But it was above expectations with (toasted) bread, peanutbutter, Jam, coconut spread and some fruit. Agosto Inn has a new building at the opposite of the street. The new building is more luxurious and well decorated. The beds in the dormitory are HUGE. There is some place to relax as well. The owner Ann, says : come as a tourist, stay as a guest, leave as a friend! We love you Ann!

Good location!”
Very good location. It's accessible from the airport using the MRT. walking distance from the MRT Pasar Seni Station. Near the bus hub, china town, Central Market, little India and a lot more.
We had a good stay at the Inn.But perhaps they could improve the cleanliness. There's a different smell inside the building that I could not figure out what it is.Perhaps the floor rugs and seat covers should be washed. But overall its a value for money considering that its located within the city and very accessible.

New rooms in China Town”
Staff, aircon, location
We switched to this hostel from another because the last one had roaches. Our room was a part of the new renovations. The room was clean, but the sheets were not. Other than that, the place was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us good advice for getting around town, and booked a tour to see the fireflies. I would stay there again, but I would bring my own sheets.

perfect for bagpackers or visa riders ”
the staff was great, the location is perfect, the place is clean
Really nice. great manager. She's not only a receptionist. She really cares about your needs and help you get to know the city. I was there on a visa ride to Thailand. She showed me where the embassy was on a map she gave me and wrote the directions on it. She also told me the names of some nice restaurants to try according to my budget and some monuments. She is helpful and friendly. She can be sure I will be back. Asfor the place, it's well located and it's cheap. Don't expect the comfort of a Hilton though. The rooms are rather small. The toilets and showers too. But it's clean. The floor squeaks sometimes and the WiFi is slow when it comes to use it for more than chatting or checking directions because there is always someone who's downloading movies. So it's a good place for bagpackers and travellers. But I wouldn't advise it for those who just wanna sit and watch movies all day.

close to everything, amazing staff, good aircon
I really liked it here and stayed many times, i stayed in different rooms each time (4 all together) and one of them had one bed bug. When i told them though they took the matress out and treated it and everything so I would trust agosto inn to be clean. the whole place is very clean, and the other rooms was comfortable and sanitary :) Joyce, the receptionist was absolutely amazing! Warmest, friendliest receptionist i've ever met :) Its close to everything in china town, great food all around, pasar seni is almost next door (though it is not loud at all in the hostel, rooms are nice and quiet unless you have a window) which connects you to kl sentral and everywhere else, putragaya bus station is very close also. (hope i spelt that right) great stay, highly reccomended :)

Option of oatmeal for breakfast, location, service.
Staff were helpful and location was excellent. Also, nice breakfast nook and communal living room area. However, the entire place smelled like B.O. which was so overpowering that we couldn't hang out there. Also, the shared bathrooms were tiny and a bit gross if you forgot shower shoes...

1.LOCATION 2.FRIENDLY STAFF 3.AFFORDABILITY
[CONTINUATION OF MY FIRST REVIEW] 4.LIVING QUARTERS-Well the old adage, you get what you pay for is true. If you wish to have plush furnishings, then this is not the place for you. But if u are looking for acceptable, clean and adequate living quarters, then this is the place for you. O yes, the air conditioning is pretty adequate, almost like a makeshift centralised unit.Lolzzz u'll understand when u get there. There are 4 shared Toilets and 4 shared showers. Its a bit cramped but serves the purpose. The only major issue is the Carpeting. Its clean, but pongs a bit when its cleaned 5.KITCHEN- It's neat. There's a main fridge where guests can keep their perishables. Just make sure u label your stuff. A free breakfast comprising of toast with a variety of Jam, Kaya, butter and peanut butter is available from 8am until 10am with unlimited cups of tea or Malaysian coffee. 6.MEETING POINT-One gets to meet a large number of diverse groups of people. I met the most pleasant, selfless caring person I've ever met in this INN. Her name sounds like it came from Sound of Music i.e. Doh Rae Mee. And I truly love her. So, u2 may find love here too. 7.SAFETY- It's safe. No cases or complaints of theft. Clean towels are provided as well as bed sheets, blankets and pillow cases, but I will still advise that you bring yours. All in all, I had a great time at Agosta Inn. I highly recommend them if u don't mind the CONS listed above. I would stay with them again. Thank you, Agosto Inn. Regards, Dr. Raheem Akindele Goodluck

HOME AWAY FROM HOME”
1.LOCATION 2.STAFF FRIENDLINESS 3.AFFORDABILITY
What can I say? I had a choice of staying in other more expensive hotels with plush furnishings but I'm a real sucker for user reviews. Hence, why I chose Agosta Inn as my first choice and I wasn't disappointed with the exception of a few things that could use some improvement. 1.Inn is located right in the middle of China town and all areas of Kuala Lumpur are easily accessible from here. The closest Bus stop or train station is located about 1-2 mins walk from the inn. Because of my XXL luggage, I basically had to take a taxi from Kuala Lumpur International Airport [KLIA]to the inn costing me RM74.00 [$20.55]. Otherwise one could just take the shuttle bus from KLIA to KL Central bus station [comes every 30mins] costing about RM10.00. and from there purchase a train ticket to Pasar Seni which is one stop away costing about RM1.10. The inn is just 1-2 min walk from the train station. The Hindu temple or Petaling street, a very popular tourist street is very close to the inn so u can ask for those as landmarks if u do get lost. 2.FRIENDLY STAFF-The Staff are all very friendly. LOL, as long as there is no monetary dispute and one doesn't raise their voice at them. They will always be willing to help you out. The Inn owner is Miss Ann. The Daytime receptionist, Miss Joyce is the glue that holds the inn together. Mr Jabar is the new night time receptionist, a position formerly held by Mr Nasir, a really go happy kind of guy living in the moment. And last but not the least, the house keeper, Cinta. To all of them, I say a big Thank you for making my stay feel very welcome. 3. AFFORDABILITY- Cheapest room is a dorm with 4 beds costing between RM25- RM28 /day. The price fluctuates, so please don't feel cheated if its higher on the day you arrive. I was housed in a single room with 2 single beds adjacent to one another and was charged about RM65 daily but I was the only one in the room for my duration of stay

Location, Budget, Availability
It was my first staying at Agosto. Room was okay, but bunk bed was a bit strange for the up bed. Overall I love staying at Agosto, but only 1 bad thing. The owner strictly didnt allow me for my early breakfast since I had to leave at 3am. I think it was just a small thing since the breakfast is only bread and jam.

I like Agosto Inn since it is centrally located, very near to Pasar Seni MTR station. It is a nice place to stay, clean as a whole except that the bathrooms were not always cleaned. A poster conserving water posted on the wall was intended for the guests only. I arrived on Nov 8, 2014 and I noticed the 2nd bathroom to the left has water leak when using the shower. I checked out the following day (9th) and was back on the 11th, the leakage was not yet fixed. I had an argument with the Filipino manager and because of him I don't think I would be coming back if ever.
