The cozy property is a definite choice for those seeking comfort, privacy and a homely atmosphere in the heart of Dubai. The five magnificent villas boast large bedrooms overlooking the Courtyard, surrounded by dining and seating area which are shaded by sun roof. Furthermore, Al-Hijaz Motel is a stone throw away from the Spice Market, the Gold Souk, and the famous Creek side water taxi on one side and only 100 meters walk from the Al-Ras Metro Station from the other side.
"All the staffs were really friendly and nice people."

I absolutely loved staying Al ahmedia heritage house it has Arabian background with modern touch ”
I loved the location the facilities and the staff where amazing. I wanna say special thanks to miss Agnes who worked at the reception. And syed Ali who also worked at the office on the nights. I found them truelly professional they will go out of there ways to accommodate your needs. I also want to thank the chef who was always ready to make what ever food we wanted. I would recommend this guest house to family to couples and even single travelers
Good location with warm hospitality ”
The accommodation is very convenient as it is located near by Al Ras station. It has cozy ambience with heritage style of building. The service man who worked during night time was so kind to prepare the breakfast even it was earlier than their service time. I would like to stay there again in the future.
Suitable for singles, couples and family with grown up children, not for family with young children.”
Staff was very helpful, friendly and helped to show nearest shop for groceries. Place was full of history, including nearby buildings, memorable experience. Nearby restaurant was nice too. For family with young children, location of the place is below expectation, very hard to find nearby parking and fortunate to find a public parking building 800 meters away. Either walk to guesthouse or take taxi (also had to walk from nearby single lane road to reach guesthouse). Signboard to guesthouse could be improved. Family room located on 1st floor with staircase (recommend to relocate family room to ground floor).
Delightful hotel in heart of Deira”
Excellent location 2 minutes from Al Ras metro and 7 minutes from abra station. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was very good. I'd definitely stay here again. Great value for the money.
I got to Ahmedia heritage guesthouse at a very late time but their stuff still gave me a very goood service including helping me lifting the luggage and check in friendly!Their breakfast is awesome and have plenty of choices. If i go to dubai again,i will choose this guesthouse!
Good clean hotel in old Dubai”
This hotel is in old Dubai and very close to Gold & Spice suks The hotel is in a quite area and found it clean , quite and close to all amenities Agnes is a gem on the reception and extremely obliging and helpful as are all staff. This is no upmarket hotel although quite interesting with a small art gallery in the hotel. We found the breakfast was adequate and would return to the Ahmedia Heritage Hotel
The staff esp. Alena is so good, how i wish all hotels have that kind of employee..the hotel is a dream come true for me, its just like living like an Emirati from and old era..I really love the place.
Great Rates. Book Your Room Today”
From here, guests can enjoy easy access to all that the lively city has to offer. A haven of rest and relaxation, the hotel will offer total renewal just steps away from the city's numerous attractions such as Souk Al Bahar, Naif Souq
Memorable Stay in Old Toen Dubai”
Welcoming staff from reservation team to the receptionist, esp Saaid who was very friendly and warm; also fixed our TV that had poor signal. Room was upgraded to a suite and entire arabian guesthouse feel is very unique. Breakfast was decent too, near the metro and souks.
Very kind and helpful staff and would like to thank Mr Syed Ali (hotel staff) for his kindness and genuinely hospitable nature. I enjoyed my stay there. This property is the best across Dubai if we take value for money in consideration and you get more for what you pay. It gives you feel of actual culture of Dubai which you wont see if you stay in some star category modern hotel.
Great guest house in beautiful historical town”
I arrived late at night but they welcomed me and helped me to carry my suitcase. All the staffs were really friendly and nice people. The room was really clean, beautiful and comfortable :) They served me free breakfast and actually it was really good quality! They served not only breads and cereals but also fresh fruits and others. Even they serves hot meals like omelette or sunny side up as you wish. It's just 3-5min away from Metro station,Al Ras so it is really convenient. And also you can easily walk to the Gold souk, spice souk, and other different souks. There are lots of different shops and people so you will never get bored :) I also really liked the historical atmosphere of the town. I highly recommend this place and I would like to come back when I visit Dubai again! Thank you so much for the great experience :)
We did not stay in the main body of the Ahmedia, but in a building behind, down 2 alleys. We went through a door into a courtyard where there are benches, flowers and a couple of old sun loungers up a flight of external stairs. We stayed in a ground floor room, number 303, which looked out over the courtyard and windtower. Being in the courtyard, with no roads nearby, the room was perfectly quiet (except for the call to prayer). The room was large with an huge, comfortable 4 poster bed, air con, fridge, kettle, hairdryer, antiquated shower room, lots of shutters and stained glass windows. I found it to be absolutely perfect and exactly what I longed for in Dubai. The only downside was that we had no hot water. However, we did not report this as we were only in Dubai for 24 hours before we flew out. However, the receptionist was horrified when we told him! Breakfast was basic, but adequate - if you want blow out breakfasts whilst on holiday, then this will not suit.
Great property ”
Great property in less well-travelled location. Staff were very accommodating. Really tried to make our stay pleasant. Comfortable room, less comfortable bed - a bit hard. Would stay here again. Restaurant adjacent to hotel serves good food at very reasonable prices (but no liquor licence - didn't bother us but some others may not be so impressed
Little gem in the heart of Old Dubai”
If you want a taste of Old style Dubai this is the hotel for you. It is situated in Old Deira, yet only 3 mins walk away from the Al Ras metro station and taxi rank. Staff are attentive and friendly (Agnes on reception is lovely). Only 2 mins walk from the Grand Souk so really in the heart of the old town. Breakfast adequate. Room had air con, nice hot shower & comfortable beds. Would recommend highly but don't go expecting the glitz & glamour found in the more flashy hotels in the new city.
Almost everything about this hotel was great, bearing in mind the value you are getting for your money. Lovely staff, lovely rooms, good breakfast, good location very near Al Ras metro. Only downside was the extremely loud call to prayer just outside our room (left hand side of main building from the entrance. It was very loud, even through earplugs at 5am each morning. But that is a minor thing in light of the amazing value for money. I arrived at 6am one morning and was able to arrange an early check in (at charge) without any issue which was very welcome. There is a second building a little distance from the main building which may be less noisy but the main building is so beautiful that it seemed a shame to not be there.
Choice of room”
We have stayed at Ahmedia Guest House before and have always stayed in the rooms where the reception is. This time we were out in a room in the courtyard away from the main reception building, these rooms are definately not as nice, they seem older and tired. The headboard on the bed looked scruffy with all the material peeling off. I wouldn't want to stay in one of these rooms again. So ask for a room where the main reception is. The staff again were very friendly and helpful.
Local flavor, huge room. The only (covered) windows in the room led to the building's atrium, so there was no view. The hotel is in one of those lots of those beige, simple, wind-tower equipped old-style buildings in Dubai, of which you never know whether they are newly built or neatly refurbished.
Ideal location ”
A great place to stay, close to the souks, , a friendly, helpful, receptionist, Agnes who printed out tickets for the bus and airlines, Much more interesting than a big chain hotel, where you could be in Italy SIngapore, or anywhere else, safe to wander around at night, and close to the river for the river taxi..1 dirham to get to the other side.. This is the are to stay if you want the real Dubai.
A Guesthouse with Character”
I chose this place because I wanted to feel the region we were visiting. I didn't want a typical Western hotel because honestly, they mostly look the same everywhere in the world. Ahmedia Heritage Guesthouse did not disappoint. The property was very charming and the Arabian courtyard was just beautiful. The rooms were simple but had everything one needs. Friendly staff. The Gold and Spice Souqs are within a short walking distance.
Nice guesthouse - but difficult parking situation”
The guesthouse and its staff are very nice! But in this part of Dubai, it is really difficult to find a parking for a rental car. Fortunately the hotel allowed us to use their own small backyard for parking.
