Good location but not what I was shown in photos
Location, amenities and staff
The staff were nice but we booked a room that was suppossed to be 55 m2 according to the website and we got a smaller one that didn't look at all like the one we had booked (we paid a bit extra for the standard room). Overall the price is worth it but I am tired of being offered a thing and getting another. We were not feeling well and the staff had been nice enough to let us check in earlier so We didn't complain. It is a bit noisy so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. They need a good pair of windows. Other than that, maybe a proper double bed would be good since they have two twin beds (didn't specify this either in the agoda website). But to be honest, for the price and location I would stay here again but claim what you booked for!

Worst hotel ever, plus dont believe the pictures
Location is good, but what you see is not the room you will get. The pictures make you dream of a cosy room with almost everything nice for a comfy stay but the truth is a REAL DISASTER. My wife and I booked a room for few days for new year eve. When we arrived at the hotel at 6pm, we had a messy room. It was clear that no one made up the room after the previous guest left. so the hotel’s staff told us to wait upstair for a long while; so i decided to go down for a follow up, and was told to wait for an extra hour in order for them to clean the room. We found that after the ‘’cleaning’’ was done, the room was still dirty with an uncomfortable smell. Plus everything was old (blanket, towels) and we had 2 tables lamps WITHOUT bulb. Also if you are planning to come during winter like we did, please be prepared that the room got no heater, and as it’s a pretty old building the cold stay in the room. Another big issue is NOISE. We couldn’t sleep at night. I think they were cleaning the area at night time which make it very very noisy with trucks. In addition to that as it’s in the center, we will hear drunk people screaming or talking very loudly on the road too. (you can also hear your neighbor room talking too sometimes) In conclusion, we decided to leave the hotel after the first night even though we had booked and paid for 3 nights. A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

We loved staying here, close to Jaume I station and close to the Gothic quarter. We walked a lot and loved our time in Barcelona.

A very pleasant stay
Location, cleanliness and practical conditions
Except the tightened stairs accessing to studio, all the other conditions was very very good. We accomodated a 16 square meters studio and it was very very quite. In the studio there is a practical mini kitchen which can complete even a longer stay in Barcelona. There you have all you need, at first call, in a kitchen: stove, sink, plates, forks, spoons, toaster, microwave oven, kettle, little table with bar chairs, etc. The location is the best opportunity to enjoy the most animated area of Barcelona, Gothic Quartier, at few meters (300) from Rambla. At night, the noise is not so loud as other reviews were made, so you can enjoy a very very pleasant stay in center of Barcelona at AINB Gothic apartments/studios.

Nice room and close to everything in town
Location, kitchen, nice bed
The staff was really nice, the room was nice sized. The problem was the city is very very noisy. Every night we were woke up by people screaming and acting crazy. There was a riot with police that lasted for several hours, the people walked down the streets screaming and breaking the windows of the shops. I say go but Barcelona is crazy and expensive.

Good location but quite noisy at night
Location, staff friendiness, large balcony
The hotel is centrally located and 2 minutes walk from the Jaume I Metro Station. However, first time visitors may have difficulty in locating the hotel as the name of the hotel is actually "Apartment In Barcelona, Gothic - Jaume I". It took us quite some time to find it as the reception is not easily recognized. The hotel room is not as good as shown in the picture but still good. It is very noisy at night as it is the pub area, but centrally location - 5 to 8 mins walk to La Rambla.

Location, Clean room, Good staff
It was good hotel, which has good location. There are many shops near the hotel and could see traditional street and souvenir shops there. In addition, it was clean room. I can cook some dinner and breakfast using kitchen equipments. I would like to stay that hotel whenever i go there again.

Lovely atmosphere and staff
Noise
This hotel had a great location right in the heart of the Gothic area. Just like in the photos, it really is like stepping back into time. Quaint cat iron balconies overlooking laneways. A little noisy even late into the evening but shutter and ear plugs are the trade off for the convenient location.

Staying at Jaume I
Cooking is possible with portable stove/cutleries provided. Bathroom is clean. Staff is warm, friendly and accomodating
Very nice stay for free and easy travel with access to central area (Catalunya place, La Rumba, Passag Picasso, etc). The apartment we stayed was minutes away by walking (Jaume I station) so travel around was a breeze. For last minute souvenir shopping you can just walk up the street. Will recommend for budget travellers with an aim to have a value for money trip.
