Great small hotel near Victoria Station
Location, bathroom (shower) and staff
The hotel is a standard B&B in the Victoria area of London, about 10 mins from Victoria Station (tube and mainline) by foot and about the same to Victoria Coach Station. It's very easy to find if you walk along St George's Drive and cross Warwick Avenue and it's immediately there on your left. There are lots of B&Bs in this area and I stayed in a few before when I was younger, often with poor cleanliness, staff with bad attitude and dubious breakfasts, so I was quite worried about this hotel before I checked in, but instead was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, so rooms on the main floors are being rebuilt, so I was given a room on the 5th floor (4th floor for some reason in the UK) which is accessible via a very narrow windy staircase, so not really good if you have large / heavy luggage. However, it was fine for me and because it was the top floor, it had already been renovated it had new decorations and a lovely bathroom with a very modern two-head shower which I've never seen in a budget hotel before. Water was hot throughout the day and I worked from the hotel room for some hours each day and was not interrupted or annoyed by any of the noise from the renovation. The bed was very comfy and the internet was actually very fast (but don't forget to ask for the wifi password when you check in at reception, as there is no mention of it in the room). I didn't have breakfast although I was tempted, as one morning I was up early and saw them bringing in fresh croissants and supplies. All in all I had a very pleasant stay, with pleasant and helpful staff and look forward to booking again in a week or so to stay there on my way back to Japan.

Budget hotel in a central tourist location
The price was good for London, breakfast is included with the stay, daily room cleaning which was essential due to how small the rooms area
Overall I cannot say that I had a negativE experience. That being said I wish I had taken the advice on how small the rooms are at this location. You barely have enough room for your luggage. I was alerted that check-in would be 12 pm only to arrive at 12:30 and be told that my check in was 1:30 pm and that I would have to pay 10 pounds to check in "early". The staff was not that friendly or helpful, but I must admit that they did help with the baggage in and out which was helpful seeing how we were on the third floor and there is no lift. Overall if u need a budget hotel and don't care about friendly staff or having space in your room then this is a good hotel. Location is close to lots of historical buildings and architecture is beautiful, but there are not many restaurants or markets to walk too and all restaurants and stores that are close by are way more expensive than a comparable restaurant in other parts of London. My family and I always decided to take a subway to another part of town rather than spend 14 pounds on a cheeseburger meal or 17 pounds on afternoon tea with buffet

Very Unfriendly staff..
Near to Victoria Station
I do not like the receptionist. Very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Keep chatting on phone or internet. Very small room in a secluded underground level. Hotel is still under renovation.

not really helpful staff
nice breakfast
Not really happy about the hotel staff as we have already mentioned we have a huge and heavy luggages and requested for a room which on ground floor/near gound floor when we check in in the morning (as they have no lift/escalator,instead....narrow & slopy stair indeed). And the staff on the front desk said "OKAY, we will arrange it for you and even if no room we will arrange a staff to carry the luggage for you." Then, we leave the luggages in the hotel and out for sight-seeing. When we back to hotel again at around 10PM, the staff arranged a 4/F room for us and said no one can help as the receiptionist is the only staff around the hotel!!!! Honestly speaking, it is quite harsh for 2 girls to carry almost 20KG per luggage going up stair to 4/F. If no one can help, just please tell us! But please don't promise nothing to us! Actully the receptionist said no one remarks for our room.

not really helpful staff. Small but tidy room. If you are carrying huge and heavy luggage, beware of the narrow slopy stair.
