Friendly and attentive staff”
The Ryokan is about 10 min walk from the cablecar station. Lookout for the sign with japanese characters 紫陽花 in red at the entrance of the sideroad just before the bend of the main road. The staff speaks fluent English and Mandarin. The Ryokan has two well furnished private onsen, each with an indoor and an outdoor onsen. You have to make booking for use during check-in. Our room overlooks the garden with beautiful autumn leave, providing a calm and relaxing environment to wind down. Food was excellent, both in taste and the experience of traditional japanese food culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

Aaaahhhhhh! ”
There were only 2 things that weren’t perfect:1). A wee bit difficult to find as the sign was hidden by flowers and weeds-don’t doubt your GPS. It is through a white trellis. The other was food service the owners were great and offered to make me a snack as I arrived late. The o send, both indoor and outdoors were heavenly. Just the right temperature and the starry night made it perfect. The real ryokan experience. I was just sorry I could only stay one night. DEFINITELY put this onsen on your list if you are going to Hakone. 10+

Fabulous ”
A wonderful stay in a large tatami mat room - great for a group or family. Wonderful onsen. Kind and welcoming staff. Peaceful environment. Walking distance to great coffee cafe ‘Coffee Camp’ and walking distance to Hakone Open Air Museum. Perfect - we’ll be back for sure!

Pleasant stay”
Pleasant stay with good facilities. The location is hard to find as it's down an off-street and the main bus stop does not have signs. The ryokan is half way down an unmarked off street. The downhill entrance to the street as a small sign but the uphill does not. Staff were friendly, conversant and breakfast was exceptional.

Enjoyable but not as traditional as expected”
Really enjoyed the three different private onsens and rooms, but missed out on having a dinner on premises because everything was reserved before we arrived (and I didn’t know I needed to reserve dinner ahead of time). Additionally, bummed there wasn’t an onsen towel or easy access to towels in regards to the onsens.

Yes there are 3 private onsen to bath everyday. You may choose 2 a day, once morning & once evening. Very comfy bed, love the surrounding nature. just quite steep to walk up, especially after dinner :) A little exercise may be good

Great place to stay”
The room was clean, comfortable, and large for two people. We loved the private hot springs. The staff was friendly and helpful. We thought it was a great value for the price. It's way out on the edge of town, so it's a bit of a walk to anywhere, but it was quiet and scenic, and we enjoyed it a lot.

Quiet and relaxing ”
Good stay for one night, helpful staff, the onsen itself is very well maintained and enjoyable. I forgot to make a dinner reservation with my booking but good brewery and food outlets down the hill in the town and nice to return and have a late evening dip in the Onsen!

Beautiful Onsen indoor and Outdoor”
Friendly staffs. The room spacious and we enjoy the stay there. The breakfast and dinner is awesome. The Onsen - especially the OUTDOOR, is relaxing. Only have one hr in the morning and evening. There some board games etc for my children to play too. Very relaxing & peaceful stay.

犬と一緒に一泊しました。 一番スタンダードな和室でしたが、それでも十分に広く、畳も新しくキレイで布団も敷いてあり、アメニティも揃っています。 犬関連のアメニティは一切ないので持参は必要ですが、リードをしていれば食事会場も同伴可能です。 特に、1時間の貸切風呂は内風呂と露天風呂がセットで利用でき、とても大きく清潔でした。お湯もとてもよかったです。 スタッフの皆さんも丁寧で親切、フレンドリーでサービスが徹底されています。 ロケーションも強羅エリアで最高でした。 また泊まりたいと思います。

夕飯がない”
旅館と言えば当然夕飯が着くと思ってたのですが、強羅までイタリアンを食べに行きました。 帰りタクシーが捕まらなくて、たまたま乗れたのは幸運でした。 温泉は文句なし。綺麗で穏やかな空間。 2人でしたので旅館に着いて夕方、次の日朝と入らせていただきました。 もし、オプションで夕食付きなら付けたかったと思います。
