Nearby the main Street. Has everything basic that you might or might not need. Chillax couple running the place, has a cosy feel, just make yourself at home and get your own things, everything is there for you. :)

good price, clean room. Should have car for this because a little hard for go to Akan Lake without a car (public akan bus is not good as rent a car) , excellent hospitality, Cons : no bathroom inside, just public bath which i am not comfort with that

Japanese style, cosy stay”
It is near to one of the tourist ferry pier, just one minute walk, but it is not near to the main street with shops, still there are some restaurants around. There is a small onsen inside the bathroom and the fee is not include in the booking fee, you have to pay 150 yen for the onsen when you arrive. The staff is very nice and helpful even they can only speak Japanese. Room is clean.

In general, it is not very cheap for the quality. But it is cheap at this area and considered acceptable. It is walkable to Ainu Village, walk by the lake Akan and then return via the shopping street, wont get bored nor feel unsafe. We thought onsen is our only option for shower, but our room is ensuited. We were allowed to add another person in the 2 pax room with additional charge. The onsen look a bit scary but I guess is the mineral in the water that cause the floor color that make the place look scary.

Ok stay”
Location was ok as we could walk to the sights. Our room was very spacious and clean with attached toilet and shower. Need to bring your own toiletries unless you shower at the onsen. There is no elevator but we have no problem climbing the stairs up to our room on the 3rd floor as we left our big luggage in our car and took only what we needed for the night. Futon bed was comfortable but I was not used to the hard grainy pillow. The summer heat was unbearable even with a cooler and a fan provided in the room. Opening the window did not help much. It would probably be ok for cooler months.

The place was dated and in need of refurbishment. Kinda creepy to walk about to go onsen and toilet as the room comes without. Free parking and one of the more affordable accommodation at Lake Akan.

If you want to save money”
Need to swap out shoes to their hotel slippers at the entrance, pretty common for budget accommodation. Rooms was okay, not suitable for light sleepers because I can hear my neighbour's snores. Onsen facilities extremely lacking, small and cramp, they did not provide hair conditioner in the onsen. But we pay for what we get, as it is at least 3 times cheaper from the other hotels in the vicinity.

Relatively cheap in Akan Lake area”
The hotel is historical, facilities are old. Hot bath is not clean. If you want to experience the Japanese style room with cheap price in Akan lake area, it could be a choice. But don't expect too much. Location is convenient, nearby has a delicious bakery shop.

not worth it”
its a shared bathroom, the bathroom looks dirty, the floor is brownish, looks like it is full of algae. got a very creepy feeling for the bathroom (FYI its those japanese shared bathroom, so if you dont like to be seen naked by stranger staying in the same hotel, then i dont recommend this hotel.) the location is very hard to find, cant find on the GPS provided by the rental car company. the room that we were given is a smoking room even though we indicated a non-smoking room in our booking.

Low cost price and a great location, Japanese style room ”
Love the Japanese style room, with tatami, futon, and all the traditional look of a Japanese room. A yukata is provided to wear when going to the bath. The location is within walking distance to Lake Akan, Bokke promenade, Akan bus station and to the souvenir shops. Most of the other hotel would be too expensive for a solo traveler but this hotel has that rustic charm at an affordable price. Good onsen is free to use.

I really enjoyed the stay here. The room is big and we we provided comfortable futons. We arrived there quite late so we were famished - we were delighted to find there was hot water provided in thermos-like container - can quickly cook our instant noodle! The staffs were very helpful - they were willing to wait till 2300 for us to check in after we made a call to inform them of our late check-in. The onsen was too hot for me - but I have low pain threshold. Others might enjoy it I think. Overall, excellent stay here!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Akan Bus Centre and Lake Akan, where the snow activities (banana boat, snow mobile, ice fishing, etc.) and winter fireworks are located. There is a Lawson nearby and other food places as well. The room we got was very spacious and clean, with our own bathroom. There is an onsen on L1 too.

Good quality price but badly needs renovation”
La chambre était grande et les lits confortables. Nous avons bien dormi. L'hôtel sent la nourriture tout le temps, la moquette, les murs et le onsen sont très sales et nous n'étions pas à l'aise en prenant nos douches. Ménage dans la chambre voisine effectué avant 7h et de façon bruyante. Conclusion :bon emplacement, parking juste devant l'hôtel. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Good location, close to bus station and restaurants and the lake. Room was right above the street so was noisy and the other guests stomped around noisily upstairs. Staff was ok.
