    At Akaokan, guests can relax in the spacious public hot-spring baths and visit the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated a 20-minute drive away. Village housings feature Ainokura Gassho-style architecture. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. JR Johana Train Station is a 30-minute drive away. Free WiFi access is offered in public areas. Guests can choose to stay in Japanese-style rooms with Japanese futon bedding, or in rooms with a tatami area, which feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Western beds. Rooms are air-conditioned with a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and an en suite bathroom. Bath towels and bath amenities are provided. A souvenir shop is available for guests to purchase local gifts and drink vending machines are on-site. The front desk provides photocopying services. A traditional multi-course meal is served for dinner and a Japanese set-menu for breakfast. All meals are served at the dining room. Akaokan Ryokan is a 5-minute free shuttle ride from Suganuma Historic Village. Nishi-Akao Bus Stop is the closest bus stop, situated beside Akaokan Ryokan. Tour buses from Shirakawa-go to JR Takaoka Station depart 5 times a day.

    Quiet and traditional and kind staffs”

    It located in front of bus stop. And across street there is very attractive old house where they used keep silk worms. The dinner was excellent! They use local vegetable and fish. We throughly enjoyed dinner.

    Not impressed. Overpriced”

    Place is pretty inconvenient especially if you don't drive. Need to take different buses to shirakawago and back to ryokan. Had a hard time planning for this stay. Staff couldn't really speak English. Kaiseki dinner was not impressive compared to those we tried in other ryokans. Public onsen is a joke. Just a room with small pool that offers no view. Pretty disappointing considering it is not that cheap

    Seems not a real hot spring”

    Just realized we are the only guest during our stays. They gave us a giant room which is nice. Food was great but seems they don’t have real hot spring.

    อาหารเช้าและเย็นน้อยไปหน่อย โรงแรมเงียบสงบมาก ถ้าไม่มีรถเดินทางค่อนข้างลำบาก ที่จอดรถฟรี วิวธรรมดา แต่เห็นภูเขา พนง. พูดอังกฤษได้เล็กน้อย พยามบริการดี ราคาแรงไปนิด แต่ห้องนอนสบายมาก มีโต๊ะร้อนให้ด้วย ไม่มีน้ำดื่มให้ อยากได้อะไรให้หาซื้อเข้าไปก่อนเพราะแถวนั้นไม่มีร้านให้ซื้อ เย็นมาร้านปิดหมด สงบมาก

    วิวสวย ได้ทานอาหารแบบที่พักเรียวกังแท้ๆ

    ตอนจองทางเว็บระบุแค่ว่ามีอาหารเช้าให้ แต่พอมาถึงที่พักจริงมีอาหารเช้าและเย็นให้ คือคุ้มค่ากับเงินที่จ่ายไปมาก พนักงานพูดอังกฤษณ์ไม่ค่อยได้ แต่พยามยามที่จะสื่อสารกับลูกค้าได้ดี หน้าโรงแรมมีป้ายรถลัสที่จะบริการรับส่งไปที่ชิราคาวาโกะ รถเที่ยวสุดท้ายจากหมู่บ้านมรดกโลกคือ 4 โมงเย็น ถ้าจะนั่งแม็กชี่ต้องบอกที่ information ให้ช่วยเรียกรถให้ (เค้าปิด 5 โมงเย็นต้องให้เค้าเรียกและนัดก่อนที่จะเลิกงาน) ค่ารถแท็กซี่ ประมาณ 8000¥ เป็นรถตู้(เดินทาง 8 คน) ที่พัก ห้องสะอาดมาก แต่ด้วยความที่พนักงานสื่อสารอังกฤษไม่ค่อยได้เลยไม่ทราบว่ามีออนเซนด้านนอกหรือไม่ แต่บ่อออนเซนข้างในน้ำร้อนดีมาก โดยรวมแล้วชอบค่ะ

    Good service but a little bit far away from Shirakawa-Go”

    位置比相像中遠，若不是自駕遊，而且只打算到白川鄉觀光，不太建議。 最近的公車站為西赤尾站，就位在旅館旁邊。每天只有少量班次從白川鄉開往高岡站的觀光巴士，日常最晚只有下午4點車由白川鄉到西赤尾站，所以必須提早離開白川鄉。 但老闆娘很好人，早餐很好吃。因為這次沒留意只選擇只含早餐的方案，建議選擇含早晚餐的方案，因為附近沒什麼餐廳。 另外，要注意只有外面的大廳有wifi，房間接收不到的。

    旅店主人很好,親切友善,主動介紹附近境點及指定時間提供接送. 日式房間很舒適寛敞. 我這次選擇了一泊兩食,晚餐和早餐是日式料理,還包含當地有名菜式, 令人驚喜.
