    Never again with Akwa ”
    Location
Stay awful, Koh Samui great. The room actually appeared good but they only change the sheets every 7 days and they don't clean anything. The extent of the 'clean' is making the dirty bed and leaving a toilet roll. Only change your towels every 2 days. We could have put up with this, even the sandy (clearly unswept) floors, squashed mosquitos on walls, leaking aircon, paper thin walls, and the non-working TV DVD & WiFi had it not been for the staff. Only the owner understood English meaning every condo was stunted with the staff at Akwa getting annoyed at you because they can't understand and telling you to come back when the owner is there however MOST INFURIATINGLY they seem incapable of letting you know when he will be there .HOW do they not know a rough time?! After the language barrier is broken down the staff still seem unwilling to assist you with the simplest of problems. Akwa 2nd GH isn't connected to the 1st and no-one mans it however there is no sign/mention of this causing confusion and traipsing round with heavy bags. The paper thin walls also caused a problem every night, we are all for a good party but the continual racket began to grate on us. You can hear the convos of all close rooms so be aware of what you are say. Stairs are steep with no lift so unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Two rooms on ground didn't look nice. We don't expect much however a smile and a nice attitude cost nothing. We have stayed in much cheaper places and all of them had amazingly helpful and friendly staff. We would NOT RECOMMEND AKWA to anyone.

This is literally the WORST hotel I stayed at in my whole life. I'm on a trip around the world, and I'm used to travel a lot. I stayed in tons of different cheap / expensive hotels, and this one was just unbearable: the rooms are extremely dirty the walls were completly rotted, the smell in the rooms was sickening, there was no window in my room, the staff was useless... When I arrived, a couple hours after the check-in time (2pm), exhausted by a very long trip to Samui, my room was not even ready and the cleaning ladies were making fun of me in Thai - I can understand Thai, unfortunately for them - while I was waiting for them to replace my sheets, which took a solid 10 minutes. They gave me dirty bath towels and left, laughing. There was no room cleaning service in the morning, and the Internet is not even working in the rooms. It's simple: I booked 2 nights in that hotel and ran away after the first night to a much better hotel, where the staff was professional, the rooms super clean and the atmosphere much more in line with the range of price.

Good location at the end of the walking street. Plenty of restaurants and stalls as soon as you exit the street and only a 5 min walk to the beach entrance.

    Decent hotel near the beach”
Fairly cheap with help booking local activities
this hotel is near the beach but not on the beach. it's about a five minute walk to the water and involves cutting through other resorts to get there. the facilities are fine with clean rooms, a/c, wifi, etc. nothing great but cheap compared to the other resorts on the island, especially around chaweng beach. if you are here on a wednesday night, make sure you head over to ark bar! the fireshow, location, and drinks are amazing.

Location was better than I expected. All the shops, restaurants and nightlife were close by. Balcony and in room safetybox were nice suprices so I would say that this hotel definitely worth of money
Staff was helpfull and internet worked quite good. No elevator so we had to climb 3 floors by stairs. For this price good choice.

    Really pleasant”
It's in an okay location, not too far away from the action, the staff are really really nice and happy to help and the room was clean and good value for money
the staff in this hotel were lovely, upon arrival, we were put into a family room (after booking a double). it was clean and comfortable, and the location worked for us. the one and only downside of this hotel was that none of the taxi drivers seemed to know where it was (but if you just mention verti-coulour, it's just 50m down the road from there). there was no restaurant, but you could buy soft drinks and water from reception, and the choice of eateries outside are plentiful.

    good location
considering we had to departure to pier at 6:30am, spending only 10hrs in this hotel, a not bad choice. rooms are very poor, door can not locked, no wifi in room, poor hygienic condition, however, given the low room rate, still an acceptatble choice. if you would spend more than 1 days at samui, suggest find another hotel.

Who needs to stay on the beach to have fun?”
Room has small balcony to smoke on or get fresh air.
i moved to this hotel after one night at one of the "beachfront" hotels and the samui easy hotel was not only cheaper, but had more features: fridge, ac, nice furniture, larger rooms, and free wi-fi. there is space to park your scooter in front of the hotel which the hotel rents for a competitive price. the hotel also provides tours and airport pick up/drop off service. i will use them again.

    Price is ok for Chaweng
The hotel is a bit rough around the edges and a bit run down in areas, eg bathroom windows were very old and didn't close properly. The room was never cleaned in the 5 nights we were there (maybe you have to ask). The wifi was only in the lobby which is ok but full of people smoking. Location was fine.

clean cheap and modern every thing worked and nothing broken or falling apart
hotel in situated on the main road out of chaweng towards lamai. this is to far to walk in to chaweng but its simple to flag down a taxi or tuk tuk. better still get a scooter from 1 of the many rental in and around town. the place looks new at the time of writing with parking out front . the room we had was long and skinny with the beds end to end not side by side. if you just need a place to crash for a day this is a cheap and good option.
