Surprisingly beatifull and good”
Our stay at Al Faro was good. We really enjoyed the beautiful view. We stayed in one of the Bungalows with sea view. The only this you should know is that there is not much to do except from going Island jumping, Though that really was some beautiful trips we did. The corals on that side of Busuanga is the best. The hotel is far away from cities and noise. Al Faro is like a little quite oasis. Getting there is a bit expensive. It's cost 2000 pesos is you book the hotel transfer and 3000 if you choose the local taxi service. The ride is a 45 minute bumpy ride, but it was worth it. To get to the hotel you have to take a one minute boat trip. The hotel provides that service. To get to the hotel you have to climb a steep path way. We're recommend staying at Al Faro for 3-4 nights so you have time to see most of the beautiful islands.

Quirky and fun!”
Al Faro is an unabashedly Gaudiesque inspired "lighthouse" hotel reached after a steep path up from the boat dock. All access is via this path, and the amount of cement bags carried by the owner and his employees to build this structure is truly impressive. The staff run like gazelles up and down this path carrying your bags and hotel supplies. The reward is the magnificent view, across a gorgeous strait, to Pass Island and its neighbors. Food was okay, the rooms very nice and cooled by fans, and the small pool is situated to give users full command of the panarama below. Guests come from around the world, many Eurpeans as well as world Cruisers tied up in the small bay. The boat crews are wonderful, and the staff are cute, yes Sharon we are thinking of you, and genuinely warm and kind. Snorkeling opportunities include day trios to Coral Gardens and Pass Island, The hotel packs a lunch- the boatman are masters at ferrying queasy tourists. Recommend spending time chatting with the owners - very interesting people.

A star in Palawan”
Al Faro is one of the nicest and well run resorts I have ever visited. The staff is attentive, helpful, and courteous day and night. Sharon and Joanna addressed all my questions and concerns promptly and professionally. I preferred the location above and away from the crowd and roads. It was a quiet, tranquil atmosphere where we could relax and unwind. The view of the sunsets was amazing from the bungalow. The food was excellent. I loved the calamari! The staff made the arrangements as requested for transportation, water and ground. I would stay here again and I would recommend Al Faro for anyone.

Fantastic location and atmosphere, friendliest staff”
We spend four nights at Al Faro and it was very difficult to leave. The views are stunning, the rooms and facilities super clean (we stayed in the tower), it's super peaceful at night, the food is great, and last but not least, the staff!! The warmest, kindest, modt fun staff we have ever seen. It shows that they love their jobs, because the owners, Jimmy and Nenita are themselves very kind and genuine. They hire only local people and do a lot for the local community (Jimmy was rebuilding a church in Conception at the time of our stay) and they don't take any commission if you hire a local boat via a fisherman that they book for you. By the way, we highly recommend Robert, who's very kind and helpful, if you want to go snorkeling or island hoping. And make sure you share your lunch with him and his helper, who is his helper :-) One more thing: if the atmosphere is very social and relaxed, the service is very professional, they are on top of everything. I could go on and on on this very special place, where we have promised ourselves to go back to!

Jaw-dropper!”
Hands down the best experience ive had so far. The view itself is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and you get to see it just right in front of you every time you wake up! The staff were lovely, they were patient with every teeny bit of requests we made. And of course, Nenita. So much hospitality coming from the owner herself, I felt right at home in an instant! And did I mention how good the food was? It may have taken awhile to prepare but now we know why. Throughout our 5D4N stay, there wasnt 1 dish out of the 12 that we didnt like. I dont know how to emphasize this enough, but every step up to Al Faro was truly worth it.

Beautiful little place in senic location”
Bungalow's Beautiful view from your bed, clean, comfortable with a varanda and hammok. Included is instant coffee at your doorstep, ready to enjoy when you wake up. Hot showers available in some bungalows on request. Pool Infinity pool - awesome, the view is stunning and even more beautiful than in the photos on Agoda. This is your answer to tranquility Food The food is good and good value for money, although the menu is limited to a few choises. Cannot complain about the taste, the meals were beautiful, especially on the valentines dinner. Beer and drinks are reasonably priced. Service Staff is friendly, courteous. are great people and are eager to please their guests. Location The location is great if you are in need of a few days of peace and quiet. No bugging to buy anything, no hussle and bussle. Island trips can be arranged on request. Overall One of the best places I've stayed at during a 3 week visit to the Phillipines. I would definetly recommend this resort to anyone who would like to relax and enjoy this somewhat remote locality. You are required to climb a steep set of stairs to get to the resort, but it's all worth it. I do consider myself quite fit, and did not find the stairs to be a challenge, though you may disagree if you are not used to physical exercise. Al Faro is for those who can live without the modern commodities of TV and fast internet and hot water if not requested. It's a beautiful place with great people and an ideal escape to those who can appreacite the tanquil surroundings.

Isolated but spectacular ”
Firstly (although we read that this was not in coron town) we didn't realize it was so isolated and for the holiday we were after it wasn't what we were looking for, I would suggest this is not the hotel to stay at if you are wanting to explore coron. The staff are incredible and really made our time there special. We struggled with the isolation but it would be perfect for a couple who are looking to escape the world. The mosquito nets over the bed didn't join up and so let animals into the bed, one night a mouse ran over our feet and every night we got bitten by some bugs and there was a gecko in the bamboo all night waking us like an alarm clock every hour for every night we stayed there. In saying that, it is a remote island resort in Palawan Philippines so we were expecting this, I guess we were just really wanting a good night sleep and didn't get one at this hotel. The other negative is that because you are stranded on the island there is nowhere else to eat except the onsite restaurant and we would of preferred to of had other options to eat at.

Beautiful Views and Food”
The views are great. Beautiful sunsets. The food is delicious as well. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Not much to do other than chill by the pool, in your room or in the dinning area. You need to take a boat to get anywhere. The hotel is on a cliff, so there isn't anywhere to walk around or explore. You can rent SUP boards or take the free kayaks out. Other than that, you need to book your excursions/adventures. Great if you want to have a relaxing stay and don't mind the isolation.

Ultimate view”
Out stay was wunderful. The room gave a stunning view, food was nice, staff happy and helpful. View is a miracle. Only downside is the overpriced transfer from pier and airport of 2000-2500 P which is more than european prices...

Disapointed”
We were so disapointed. The Service was very good and the view was amazing. But you have to pay for all and no chance to eat or drink anywhere else. The food wasn't that good as we ecpected. The Scooterrental was awful. For shure, Al Faro was just the middleman, but they didn't care at all. And be careful with the pick up, 2000 Peso (40€). After we spoke with them, it seems alright. We just paid 150 Peso per pax for a regular bus. But just after asked three times. All in all it is alright for 2 to 3 nights,no more.

Wonderful”
I would have rated also facilities to five if WiFi would have been working without disturbances. The WiFi was unfortunately poor. I am traveling for several months and need every day to use Emails and internet to find and book onward flights, accommodation etc. The staff went through trouble every day to help me, since I neeed access to Email every day. With that said the place is gorgeous and if you have a decent local SIMcard or just want to be un contactable even facilities is a top rating

Nice sunsets, but little to do”
A great place for enjoying nice sunsets. There are island hopping tours, however the information on what tours there are and what there is to see is a bit lacking. Food is simple but good enough, nearly no other place nearby to eat so you need to eat at the hotel and choose between 2 dishes in the evening at the hotel. There is no aircon and it can get quite hot in the night, although the fan helps. Accomodation in the tower was quite disturbed by the noise from the restaurant and bar. Also it wasn't very private in the tower since you could hear everything from the room. The location is very good with few other resorts, although there was one under construction nearby which made some noise during the day. Only thing is that there is no beach, you have to go island hopping for that.
