Poor, dirty hotel, best avoided.”
Decent sized room, efficient air con.
The Al Jabal hotel looks okay from the exterior, but that's about the best thing that can be said for the place. It's location isn't ideal, on a main road in an insignificant area, with a fair amount of road noise in the room. The room itself was spacious enough but the toilet was leaking and the room door didn't close properly unless it was locked. The worst thing though was the BED BUGS. After waking up on the first morning with bites on my ankles I had my suspicions but kept them to myself, until that evening when I was lying on the bed and watched as a bed bug crawled up from under the bed and made a beeline for me. I informed the hotel staff who seemed surprised but didn't offer anything in the way of an apology or any kind of compensation. In addition to this, the linen in the room was visibly dirty from the moment we arrived, and the room was not cleaned after our first night - we arrived back from a long day out to find it in exactly the same condition we had left it in which is something I can accept in a hostel, but not a hotel. Overall this hotel was horrible, especially given the relatively high price they charge for what is offered, stay away.

My stay was short. From the moment I entered the room I had a desire to leave. Toilet dirty & old. Room in general not cleaned and linen hardly cleaned. Seems this Hotel avoids cleaning itself not to incur extra costs on itself. Although staff seems kind but this is not enough. They deliver simple water or tea but service in general poor. No fridge no towels no wifi nothing at all. I urge agoda to tell the precious costumers of what exactly they will find in each hotel. There is no point of leaving the costumer shocked & hampered with all this miss. Obviously the money which we have payed in this hotel is just a loss for a bed which we could find anywhere else.

Quick stopover, easy access, good for home base”
Large room size, proximity, value
The hotel is adequate in terms of everything is provides. The internet is rather slow, but this is common in the region. The value was middle of the road internationally, but very good locally - anything better equipped becomes much more expensive quickly. Proximity to the rest of the city and tourist sites is pretty good - again, anything closer becomes rapidly more expensive.

Helpful staff
Have to ask for room cleaning but friendly staff and not very far from city centre where there are no hotels as far as i knew. Taxis are not difficult to get and Restaurant n cooks r ok. Clean n fairly good food if one places an order. WiFi

clean / good price-value
- rooms are clean and very spacious - rooms towards the street are quite noisy - friendly staff - hotel restaurant has no choice and is not to recommend. Had no choice for breakfast and is overpriced (small fresh orange juice for about USD3.50)

Ideal Location and good double room”
front office was very supportive.
Restaurant buffet was good, morning breakfast buffet was good, but surely should keep in mind that availability of food should be sufficient to the guests present. Room service should be improved since this is something which makes the hotel's name sore to heaven.
