Great location in the middle of the village meant walking distance to all things, and we ate somewhere different every meal.

Best Villa Everrrr! <3”
Alama Sea Village Resort is one of the most cleanest & beautiful villa which you can find in Koh Lanta. Their staff & owner was so friendly & willing to accommodate to our needs during our whole stay of 5 days there. We were in love with the beautiful decor & the privacy we had in the villa. The place was so quaint & there’s many great facilities & halal restaurant around. Don’t worry about finding great halal foods, there’s more than plenty in the tiny island itself! Plus there’s many local markets around to shop-hop. If you enjoy tranquility with no tourists spot, Alama Sea Village Resort is the best place to go! Would definitely return if we were to drop by Koh Lanta again :)
Must Stay Hotel ”
Alama Sea Village is a fantastic hotel. The view is indescribable and the staff are amazing and helpful. They had competitive priced scooter rentals right onsite and will help you book and island tour, snorkeling excursion, etc. If you are staying in Koh Lanta is the the place to stay. The breakfast buffet was nice, fresh, and good options. The room was clean, made up well everyday, and the utilities all worked great. You definitely get a bank for your buck here!!! Great place to couples and families, definitely has that “in-paradise” feel we all look for in an island hotel!
Picturesque view of Kantiang bay”
My family of 3 adults and 2 kids choose to stay at Alama because of the panaromic infinity pool and the famous kantiang beach which is 5 min walk down the road passing by rustic yet plenty of modern aminities such as shops spa major ATMs 7-11. We were there during low season in June hence the upper tier 2 bedroom cottages and pool access suites were empty except us. Our pool access suite is great for my kids dipping into the pool till late night. The hotel serves halal food which is an added advantage for us. We tried the Alama western menu, juices and it was really surprisingly good. We are not a breakfast family, however the basic morning serving of omellete coffee tea juices fruits local fried rice etc is just appetizing. There are other halal food stall restuarants nearby and we frequent this family run restuarant Zareena for our dinner. Annie and staff is exceptionally helpful and so heartwarming. I guess Alama has great affiliation with the tour operators hence Alama provide guest discounts so try ask Annie for your activities. Beds are comfy, as a family we would not mind the separate toilet with shower curtains however the toilet area is a bit dim. Wifi is great probably coz not many guest during our stay to utilize the broadband signal. Overall it is a very plesant stay. Alama is a hilltop resort so you must walk up a lot of stairs to the upper tier bangalows to absorb immensely the wonderful peaceful panaromic picturesque view of kantiang bay from Alama. Will definitely return again.
Great staff, location, value”
I stayed 4 nights. I've lived in Thailand 3 years and been to many islands and beaches. Alama was one of the best value for money places I've stayed. It's new, and everything is clean and well-maintained. The pool is fantastic with lots of comfy sunbeds. The staff were all very friendly (even more than the traditional Thai) and fun to talk with. The only potential downside is the aircon isn't really strong enough to cool the entire room. The rooms are just simple wood and concrete and glass (but very stylish, not basic), but during the day especially it's impossible to have a "cool" room. At night it's ok for sleeping, but if you like a really cold room then this isn't your place. The outdoor living space with hammock, bean chair etc are great for morning or afternoon lounging around, and nicely shaded with a fan. Overall I was extremely happy with my stay there. If I return to Koh Lanta, I almost certainly would book Alama again.
Our favourite place”
Koh Lanta has such a wonderful vibe and the Alama hotel complimented that so well. The room was spacious, private and really comfortable. You felt surrounded by the trees and nature. The breakfast was really good and the service was very slick. The pool has stunning views over the bay. It is 5 minutes walk from the beach which has lovely restaurants and a live music bar, fire show etc. Would have stayed longer if we could.
Relaxing and easy stay”
We visited Alama at the beginning of July. The low season has Koh Lanta even quieter than usual, so there weren't many things open. Alama is very comfortable and clean. The bungalows feel new and private. Annie at the front desk is amazing and friendly and will help you with anything you need. The views from the bungalows and the pool are spectacular. We were even able to rent motorbikes from the front desk for the day which was fun. Overall, Alama is a great place to relax and to use as home base to explore the island. Note, the property is not located on the beach, but there is a beach about a 5 minute walk down the road.
Fantastic resort with gorgeous facilities and friendly staff”
We had an amazing stay at Alama resort, in a 1 bedroom cottage. The whole place is gorgeous, the room was so beautiful and comfortable, great bed and nice setting in the jungle. Pool is fantastic and was almost always empty. We hardly wanted to leave the resort, it was the highlight of our Thailand trip. Beach nearby was great, clean and sandy, good options of restaurants around, and it was easy to rent a moped at the resort for a visit to the National Park doen south. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious (we were actually laughing about some negative reviews about it...). They changed room and beach towels every day, we also had some laundry done for a good price. Highly recommended!!
Fabulous two nights in December”
The staff are wonderfully helpful and kind, especially Nita. I felt so welcome every morning for the breakfast, which was very generous and delicious, lots of choice of both Thai and Western, choice of how you want your eggs.... The views are amazing from the roms, and mine was low down...the higher up the hill, the more stairs, the better views. Little details made this place spécial: reed room diffusers with a lovely lemongrass perfume, the private entrance and living area downstairs. All in all, a delightful place to stay, only open a few weeks, so I benefitted from an excellent price. I'm sure it will become known as one of the luxury, top places to stay on Koh Lanta, given the untouched beauty of Kantiang Bay.
perfect stay ”
we loved our stay at alama sea village resort. the room, the pool, the location- everything was perfect!!!! would recommend it to everybody!
Had a lovely stay here”
Really enjoyed our stay at Alama. The view of the bay from the infinity pool is a particular highlight. The only minor criticisms I have are that the sound insulation could be better in the rooms, and at breakfast the hot food in the buffet ran very low after about 9am and didn't seem to get replenished. But these are very minor issues and did not negatively impact the lovely stay we had here.
Alama is a new hotel, which is a bit up on the hill, calm environment, but close enough to the beach and walking distance to the shops and restaurants around the area. All the staffs are very friendly at Alama, with a bit of more hospitality trainings, the service standard can be improved. The room is clean and breakfast was good, although it could be better if there would be some shaded area at the poolside restaurant in the morning. The swimming pool was an excellent chillout area, which is at least 25 meters long that you can swim a bit in it. We've also tried the massage service there and it was fantastic! Overall speaking, we enjoyed our stay at Alama very much and hope that we can come back again in the near future!
Staying at Alama was a Valentine's Day splurge and it was worth every penny. The pool was fantastic and the view overlooking the bay was awesome. We had a wonderful time there and would recommend this place to everyone.
well design resort”
We arrived the resort at early morning aroung 7:00am, normally the resort check in at 2pm, but then was during the low season, they prepared the rooms ready soonly after we finished breadfast. All the hotel rooms are with two floors, the ground floor is designed to be a leisure and reflex area with bean bag and hammock. The sleeping room is equiped with full height glass window through which sea view could be easily approached. It seems that the room is designed for couples or families, as the bed can't be seperated to two single bed. It's a bit weird for friends sleeping on a big bed. And the rooms is of no telephone, any service requirement could only be talked face to face at the front desk.
Stayed for 3 nights in April 2016 with my boyfriend”
PROS: -most stunning view from room -beautiful villas -amazing garden throughout the resort, very well taken care off -amazing pool with panoramic views of mountains and beach -close to restaurants and mini mart -wonderful and friendly service staff -nice private balcony with hammock and bean bag chairs -monkeys! -5 min walk down to the beach -quiet area of the island -cheap moped rental on site CONS: -restaurant (breakfast was very poor, and the food was extremely low quality for the price they charged) NOTE: -best places to eat in this area of the island are Pad Thai Rock & Roll and Drunken Sailor (1-2 min walk) -Pad Thai Rock & Roll is closed April 30-June 10 SUMMARY: we absolutely loved it here! Perfect place to relax, felt very welcome in this sleepy little bay
Great Xmas stay!!!”
My partner and I stayed in the 1 bed suite cottage over Xmas and had a fabulous time at the Alama. The hut had so much charm and character and the staff were super helpful and friendly! Morning views were epic and the infinity pool was ace. Only recommendation would be to put a fan/air con in the living/bathroom area as this area was like an oven. Can’t wait to return.
We had a very nice stay for or honeymoon on Almna sea village resort, best hotel of our trip, really good! Amazing views, scenery, service and restaurant!
We love our 3 days stay in Alama. Staffs are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Especially the guy at the tour desk. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We love the basement veranda with the hammock where we spent most of our time but there can be lots of mozzies when night falls. Good if they can provide mosquito coils. Bedding is so comfy, bathroom is clean. During hot weather, it can get really warm and stuffy in the room. But when it rains heavily, its perfect place to be indoors. There are steps to climb and up slope getting to rooms located at the end. And also more steps to got to the breakfast restaurant and pool. Those who don't like steps and walking/climbing will surely complain about this. We have no problem on this. But may not be very ideal for elderly. Restaurant food next to front desk was so so and the service is very slow. More food stalls are available few doors away with 7-11 just around the corner. Overall a really chill out place and area.
Thank you for staying with us. Thank you for your comments.
Great view,friendly staff,relaxing enviroment ”
We stayed 4nights at Alama, we had an awesome stay. The hotel is still in preopening, construction is still going on but it dosent really bother us too much. We got an upgrade to a pool access villa which is amazing., we can just jump into the pool from our room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. There are a bar on the cliff not far from hotel which can oversee the best sunset!we rent a motorbike from hotel for 2days costed us only 500 baht that made us so much easier to explore the island. Laundry service also great and cheap from the hotel.
Lovely hotel- great everything!”
The staff at Alama was so helpful and great. The room was beautiful and had a perfect touch of charm and luxury. Definitely worth staying here!
Beautiful resort - exactly as it looks in the pictures. Rooms are spacious and clean, come with all amenities, and with a beautiful view of Kantiang Bay. Staff are very friendly and helpful in arranging excursions/any sort of transport. Close walk to the beach, 7/11 and nearby restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
