Operated by a sweet lady who likes Bob Marley and UB40, this guesthouse is a great spot to chill for a few nights as I did. A 5 min walk to Tung Wua Laen beach and the strip of restaurants and shops. Room was great. Comfortable bed with great air-con, balcony and nice shower. Perfect spot.

Nice, clean place, super nice personal”
Nice place to stay in Chumpo. It is located near the beach, but a bit further from the city center. However you can rent a scooter and take a ride to the city. In a hostel there is a really nice and helpful lady. Close to the hostel you can find a nice small place with fresh food. We had bad luck with weather, but otherwise we would probably stay 3ven longer in Chumpon.

This is really a homestay not a hotel. Old lady living there did not speak any English and the building is a little run down. However. Great value for the room. Nice balcony. Huge room and decent bathroom.

Basic accommodation, very hard bed. The sink was completely out of order in our room and it was not repaired during our stay, 3 days. We were offered another room however, but that was much smaller and so was the balcony. In the evening we played a game at the table in the big living room, the lady was rather stingy however, so each time we had difficulties in getting sufficient light. Otherwise she was helpful.

We stayed at the Albatross for one night, it is perfectly adequate for a short stay. The check in process was a bit odd as the hotel had been left in charge of the elderly cleaner who had to show us to our room and stand on a table to get the fan working. She was incredibly sweet but we felt a bit sorry for her running up and down all the stairs! Our room was spotlessly clean, although unfortunately no hot water or drinking water provided and only a towel provided as a bed sheet. WiFi signal very weak. We loved the area, it’s a good location for diving, the beautiful beach and local night market. Overall a pleasant stay.

Probably the best value in Thung Wua Laen”
The Albatross GH is a few hundred meters off the beach but this shouldn ´t stop you from staying there. The fan rooms are large , have a balcony and are immaculately clean.

Good Place for backpackers ”
We stayd two nights in albatross guesthouse, when we had just arrived from Khiri Khan and then we continued our trip to Phuket. It was very nice place and almost the cheapest one what we found near by Thung Wua Laen beach.

We had a lovely time at the Albatross Guesthouse. It was a very large basic room and the price was very good. The beach is only 2-300 metres down the road.

Excellent Place To Stay ”
Here's the deal, so please pay attention: if you want a quiet place to stay within a 5 minute easy walk to the beach and restaurants, with helpful staff, clean, bright, spacious room, aircon, balcony, motorbike or pedal bike rental, away from the more crowded, noisy beachfront locations, etc. etc., and a very reasonable/low cost (about 550 baht a day, or monthly for less), stay here. Period. If you want to be right on the beach, or near a bar, or in a more crowded location, don't. Simple.

Good location for a quiet beach holiday”
We booked for one night and extended our stay for 2 weeks - fan room. We really enjoyed being there because it was quiet (June is the low season and it is not very hot). The rooms are very clean, A/C and fan work well. Shower has cold/hot water. Not many English channels on the TV, wifi is very fast. If it rains a lot there will be frequent power cuts. Bicycle/scooter can be rented, the beach is just 500m away. No breakfast included - just a 10 THB coffee at the lobby but possibility to store food in the refrigerator downstairs. They also sell water and snacks downstairs. There is no entertainment/nightlife in June...everything shuts down at 10pm. The manager Khun Phorn is very helpful and sweet. She took me to the nearest stores to buy food and try some Thai delicacies. Public transport "yellow bus" works from 5am to 5pm every day and costs 30 thb /person to Chumphon town (16km away). Tips: - Go fishing from the rocks on the North side of the beach (lots of red snappers and groupers) - Bring with you sand fly repellent (the beach is full of them!!!) and contact lenses liquid/saline solution. - On Sundays, try the Market Supree (fishing village) - sea food dishes and fruit are fresh and delicious!

Cheap friendly place to stay”
We took the cheapest fan only room. The room was big, clean, comfortable bed, with attached bathroom. Sparsely furnished with a stool, table and desk light. No fridge, no kettle, only 1 power outlet, no TV. Our room faced the sun and it was hot. It doesn't help that my partner hates drafts so insisted on doors and windows staying closed. I managed to get the windows open as they had insect screens. Downstairs some open areas that were nice to sit in, but they needed fans. Few minutes walk to the beach, say 5 minutes. At the beach plenty of restaurants and bars, although most were closed as we were off season. Beach looks lovely. However there were sandflies in the evening making it unpleasant to linger on the sand. I wanted to swim but had some stings on my legs, nothing visible , so I gave up that idea. June 2017, at other times of the year this could be very pleasant.

Super big house, but a little lovely ”
Nice hotel owner. lovely house part with blue color. You can walk to the beach easily, but a little difficult to find food . Few people at the beach, so it’s a different experience and enjoy at here.
