Great place to sleep over between NSW and Vic”
Arrived very late at night for a quick sleepover while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. Had phoned earlier and arranged the room to be ready. No problem so we were able to arrive and get to bed very quickly. The room was actually in superb condition and very comfortable. Left again early in the morning so didn't get a chance to see anything of Albury. This has got to be one of the best stopover Motels I have ever used ( and I have been in many) The price we had paid through Agoda had us expecting something a bit more run down and not nearly as nice, so this was a lovely surprise, pity we were in such a hurry so didn't get full use of it.
Spacious and convenient ”
Although the decor is a little tired, the room is very spacious and clean. The spare single bed in addition to a Queen size bed is an added bonus for a potentially restless sleeper. The location is quiet and attractive being across from the river park land and there is a very good Italian restaurant nearby. Albury is a convenient halfway stop over between Melbourne and Canberra and we will definitely stay at Albury Paddlesteamer Motel Inn again.
Very Clean and well maintained Motel, Towels and bathroom soap changed daily, the room was made up and tidied every day we were there.Nothing was a problem for the staff, they were all friendly and there to help. I would happily recommend this Motel to friends. Good price and great service Thank you Paddlesteamer
Nice clean stay”
Our stay was short and sweet. It was just a one night stay over while traveling through Albury. Motel was easy to find, room size was good, check in and out fast and friendly. Perfect for what we wanted.
Fresh and cozy”
I was surprised at the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room (room 107, ground floor). There was ample storage space, and luggage space, and a well-equipped kitchenette and sparkling bathroom. The lady at the front desk (I'm sorry I didn't ask her name) was so helpful and knowledgeable about the sights in Albury. Would stay here again!
Good enough stay”
located on the main road into town about a 10 min walk into central albury. the rooms are well fitted out and are comfortable and clean nothing to flash but good enough. price is the key thru agoda, it is just right for a mid range motel in albury. there are many motels that are not up to standard but this is ok for the discounted price. i usually stay here when my favorites are full and i am fussy enough. so i can recommend at the right price.
Quiet quality motel”
one of the newest motels in albury and a good value middle of the range choice. near the river but still within walking distance of the city's cbd if one wants to find a bar or an upmarket restaurant. large rooms, well appointed, with generous tea/coffee supplies and an appealing bathroom makes for a comfortable stay.
Seems like it was resently renovated. the renovation is SUPERB. Big Room and even bigger Television. wish i stayed longer than the 2 days :-) Definitely the place for me to say next time i am in Albury
Everything you need, clean comfortable rooms at good price close walking distance of albury town centre.
Good place to 'stop-over'”
We originally booked for 3 nights over Xmas and arrived on the 23rd. We thought that being in Albury would allow us to relax and find some nice restaurants to enjoy our Xmas in the middle of our 2 week tour of Eastern Victoria. As this is a Motel there were no facilities in the room apart from a kettle. There was a toaster, but no plates or knives. The night we arrived, the restaurant was closed for Xmas and it was too late to find another which would take an order (everything closing around 8pm). We eventually found a local Fish & chip takeaway. Any restaurants in Albury/Wadonga, which planned to remain open for Xmas day, were fully booked so starvation was looming. We were able to cancel our remaining 2 nights and find a cabin in the Wadonga campsite, then did a supermarket shop and cooked our own Xmas dinner on-site. The Motel does seem well equipped for the overnight stayer, but not for an extended stay.
I often book this motel in Albury as I know that it is always clean.
We really enjoyed our stay here & would definitely stay again (& we loved Albury too!).
Convenient Overnight Stopover”
We were driving from Sydney to Melbourne and wanted a place to rest overnight. We arrived about 6pm on Sunday night. The Motel Bar and Grill was not open so it was a 3km drive to Albury and a bit of a search to find something open where I could find decent takeaway to take back to the motel. The room was clean but tired and the lip between the living area and tiled kitchen/bathroom area is dangerous for the unwary. Staff were friendly and the convenient location allowed us to cross the Murray and get back on the Freeway to Melbourne without tracking back through Albury. We would stay there again, especially as a rest stop when travelling to Melbourne.
Albury Paddlesteamer - a great place to stay”
My stay on business was for 2 nights in very hot weather, and I would definitely stay at this motel again. The ground floor room was extremely spacious, cool, quiet and well-appointed. The manager was very pleasant and helpful, as were the on-site Bar and Grill staff. The food was of good quality, and for variety (if desired) there are other dining options a short walk away. Free WiFi was fast and reliable. There is excellent well used parkland along the Murray River, just across the road from the motel, great for an after-dinner stroll in the cool of the early evening.
Convenient,, quiet and well appointed”
We overnighted in the Paddlesteamer on the way to Sydney. The service in Reception was extremely pleasant and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was both appealing and inexpensive. This motel is above average with no standout feature, just good all round.
Great Service cool pool”
When we arrived our booking had not taken up on their system but they gave us an upgraded room without a fuss as they were almost fully booked. Great country motel. Good sized room very clear TV and very comfortable bed . In 41degree heat the air conditioner did an effortless job despite our room getting the afternoon sun. A welcome relief was the motel pool. They also offered a sauna and spa. Tea coffee and bickies were plentiful. And staff were at all times available and approachable. The way a good motel should be run.
The rooms were a comfortable size; the facilities included not only kettle but toaster, microwave and plates and cutlery; best shower I had ever had anywhere; table for working; comfortable clean beds with removable covers on the quilts; generous, comfy pillows and the staff friendly and helpful. Opposite the motel is a beautiful park for walking. Certainly good value for money.
Good location, large rooms”
The motel is located near the exit to the Hume Highway. For those who stopped over in Albury as a middle stop for a trip from Sydney to Melbourne point like we did, it is a good place to stay. Also, it is just 2 blocks from gas station which allows you to get a full tank before the next trip. The motel room is rather large compared to others. It is ashamed we have not tried the restaurant there...
Great for a weekend away or as a stop over.”
Pleasant experience with value for money. The Location in Albury was excellent.
Value for money.”
We were only passing through Albury on our way to Melbourne. More than adequate for a short visit!
