Centrally located, this property is within walking distance of the cathedral and Seville's enchanting old quarter. Located opposite the Murillo Gardens and the Reales Alczares, the Alcazar Hotel is well placed for discovering the city on foot or by the ubiquitous free-hire bicycles. Recently refurbished, rooms are chic while retaining a warm, classic feel with wooden laminate floors, pretty fabrics, and private terraces, and the common areas are adorned with traditional Andalusian details - rugs, tapestries, and oil paintings. It's a five-minute walk from here to barrio Santa Cruz, with shops, tapas bars, and cafes aplenty within a few blocks of the hotel. For those not keen on walking in the Spanish heat, there's a bus stop right outside the door.

Quiet and Clean”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is clean and quiet. I wish there had been a small refrigerator in the room - if that were available, it would have had everything I needed. The wifi worked consistently, the staff was friendly and gave suggestions for places to eat. It is a bit far from the shopping and restaurant areas, and definitely not in the historic center of the city. It was a walkable distance for me to get to the centro historico, but would not be for everyone.
Nice modern hotel”
Very comfortable, clean and modern rooms. Good value for money and location, close to bus & tram stop for airport connection and easy walk into town for all the main sights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only negative is there isn't a lot in terms of places to eat, although if you walk about 5-10 mins down the road you will find plenty of places. Will absolutely stay here again.
Good hotel only with no wifi in room”
The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the main autobus station and 10 minutes walk to Plaza Spain & Saint Cross Area, which means you need no urban transportation to most tourism attractions if you stay here. The room is big enough with such a low price and I love the 2 large closets in room. The problem of no wifi in room could also be overcome if you carry mobile wifi machine.
Professional Hotel w Great Location”
We had an excellent stay in Alcazar. We were given a big+clean room with own balcony :) We love it! The hotel is just 5min walk from the regional bus station. This is very convenient if you arrived at Seville using bus. The location is fantastic, walking distance to all major tourist spots. The wall between rooms are thin, so you can hear what others say/do quite clearly. But this is not too much of an issue. Free WIFI at lobby only, not in the room. Something Alcazar can improve.
Good location to take a airport bus. Close to the bus station go to Ronda.
Very good location. But dont expect anything more than location”
Excellent location with the park, palace, Cathedral, many restaurants within walking distance. Very small room, no kettle in room, minimum toiletries provided in toilet, little varieties for breakfast.
Good but could be better”
Found a very reasonably priced room here. Arrived with two very heavy suitcases, unfortunately you have to go up some steps to get to the lift, and after that my room was right at the end of a long winding corridor where the wifi was no longer in range. Other than that, a pleasant stay.
Since we took the overnight bus from Lisbon to Sevilla, the bus stop just 5min walk from the hotel, very convinence. Location is good, very close to Spain Square, just opposite to old town area, walking distance to most sight seeing point. Breakfast is fair, some staff is very friendly, some staff is moderated, maybe we arrive on 5am by bus, he is stiff sleepy
Great location & friendly staff”
We recommend this hotel as it is centrally located and close to public transport. Friendly staff, clean rooms and reasonable breakfast. However, if you need good wifi connection in your room, you might be disappointed.
Could be better”
Best thing about the hotel was its location - within walking distance of the major sights in Seville and the Barrio St Cruz. However the furnishings in the room were old and musty, no additional pillows were provided, instead "cushions" which were flimsily attached to the headboard of the bed with velcro were the alternative if you wanted to prop yourself up in bed. No spare socket points were available in the room, hence if one wanted to use one's laptop, one had to sacrifice the tv!
Lacks facilities and unfriendly staff”
Positives: fantastic location, very close to sights. Clean rooms. Negatives: extremely unfriendly and unhelpful staff. No safes in the rooms or behind reception, no irons in rooms. Also please beware: they are quite racist in this hotel (and Seville as a whole) so note that if you are not white you not be treated the same as other guests.
Comfortable place with friendly staff”
Just a street away from Jardines de Murillo, so if you have a balcony view you can see the main sights from the window. Recommended.
Good location which is near the Palace and San Sebastian bus station. A bit expensive for solo traveler but worth for a short stay.
Ridiculously small room & toilet”
Good: location is walkable to key attractions (10-20 mins walk) Bad: - small room with horrible view (rooms w/out views open up to a column of the neighbours toilets/rooms and sewage piping - toilet is tiny (when I sit on the toilet bowl, my face is right in front of the sink) (FYI I’m a petite Asian size), bathroom shower door opens partially as it is blocked by the sink - Unfriendly and unhelpful front staff (esp the morning crew), couldn’t even get assistance on advising how to take the normal bus around the city. Ended up buying the lousiest hop on hop off tour (at a hotel discount rate of €14.50) which I’ll not recommend at all to anyone because it doesn’t quite give the convenience of a hopping off service - the next bus time schedule is erratic. We waited for 1 hr+ for the next, complete waste of time so much so, we stopped hopping off at stops and walked all around instead, because that just makes more sense since attractions are in narrow roads w no bus access.
Basic hotel which is near to the attractions”
The room, including the toilet was very small. My wife fell sick (vomitting) on the first night and we asked the reception for help on nearby hospitals at 9pm. They helped to hail a cab and gave directions to the cab. When we requested for late check out 2 days later so that she could rest more as we were only mid way in our trip, the same recep who helped us to hail a cab to the hospital wanted to charge us for it. I think it is basic for most hotels to allow at least a 1 hr extension plus they are aware of my wifes condition yet didnt grant us a simple request. We could do with better hospitality in seville. Not cool
5-star location, 2-star facilities”
Within walking distance to the most major sightseeing spots in Seville, supermarkets and restaurants nearby, great view overlooking La Giralda and Alcazar. Downside are bed quality, lady-sized shower cubicle, lack of countertop space and drawer in bathroom and robotic staff attitude. For travelers who are only staying the nights and would be out for most of the day, is still a recommended choice.
Great but avoid breakfast”
Staff was nice and helpful. Location of parking and logistics (it was tiny - even though we had a Polo) and cramped (complicated to park). One thing about Andalucia: they charge up to 20€ for parking spots, which is not necessarily implied. Both my girlfriend and I got food poisoning from having the hotel breakfast which severely impeded our visit of Seville. However the staff was super supportive, indicated the nearest pharmacy and helped us get dry food via delivery.
It is at an excellent location, in terms of getting around near the historical centre. But there is actually no vibe no life no culture nearby, before the bit of walk. I was most irritated by the super noises during the mornings, from room cleaning and other guests. Also rooms are tiny, and come with no amenities, no lock or mini bars. In case you need something, not too bad to walk 20 min to the convenience store that opens till 2am.
Comfortable but lacking”
Our stay was tolerable because the hotel is at a very good location. Accessible to most tourist spots. However, here are my observations which annoyed me and my daughter. 1. Elevator is on the mezzanine,so if you have heavy luggage, you'll have to drag it over steps to get to the elevator 2. WiFi is only available in the lobby and the part on the 2nd floor near the elevator ( doesn't reach the rooms). 3. There is only one small trash can in the toilet ( none in the room) . 4. The toilet/shower partition makes taking a bath challenging because it will wet the other side. 5. There are no small racks for soap, shampoo and other toiletries inside the shower area . You'll have to put them on the floor. If you have a bad back, it will be very difficult to stoop down to pick your toiletries while showering. 6. We requested the people at the front desk the night before ( around 8pm) if they could arrange a cab to pick us up early in the morning to take us to the airport. The reply we got was, it was already late and they said they couldn't arrange it anymore .if I may be allowed, I took pictures to support these observations...
Definitely not 2 star!!!”
Sleep comfort- firstly we were a couple and were given twin beds. The mattress itself was not comfortable at the level you would expect a 3 star. The staff claimed they didn't have a printer when we wanted to print our bus tickets.
