Will definitely visit again”
Our stay at Aldy Hotel Stadhuys was incredibly great. The room was clean and we could view the street through the windows. The layout of the hotel is beautiful, apparently the management has put in a lot of effort on decoration, and the ladder corridor is remarkably awesome, my girlfriend even took photos with the corridor! The superior room comes with a bathtub in the toilet, it is big and clean; My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it during our stay especially came back from outside under the heat of the sun, and I believe you certainly don't want to miss it during your stay too. The first impression of the hotel to us is its location. Almost all attractions in Malacca are within walking distance. We walked together on the walking street outside the hotel in the evening, and had a drink in the restaurant of the hotel before went back to our room for rest, which was relax and romantic. Another thing worth mentioning is the hotel's breakfast, which I would say is very delicious. The restaurant provides various breakfast, consisting of western breakfast and Malaysia's local breakfast, the portion is big and we were satisfied by the breakfast with sincerity. We will definitely come back to this historical town and will certainly visit this hotel again!

Lovely heritage hotel with perfect location”
We had a really nice stay at Aldy Hotel. Located in a heritage site (there's a $2 ringgit heritage tax), the hotel is housed in a quaint heritage building that is well-maintained. Rooms are clean, and the only (slight) negative is that the airconditioning takes a while to cool the room. The hotel is conveniently located near the famous Jonker Street, meaning that you are just a short walk away from the main shopping and dining stretch of Malacca - including its night market. It's a walkable distance to several shopping malls too. Our stay included an ala carte breakfast of our choice from the menu, and the food was decent (if not exceptional). The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Very good location and service. Great bistro.”
Booked this hotel for a 2-night stay during a peak/public holiday long weekend. Service was fantastic from the minute I called them a few weeks ago to make my booking. Afif, the staff who attended to me via email and telephone, was extremely friendly and helpful and just so pleasant and easy to deal with. He addressed all my concerns politely and patiently and made sure my booking was done successfully. When checking in and out, some female staff at the reception attended to us and they were also friendly and pleasant to deal with. The room had all the basics you would expect at a 3-star hotel. There was nothing we needed that they didn't provide. I absolutely loved the shower - really good water pressure and temperature! Especially nice after a long tiring day of sightseeing. Even though they said to switch on the heater 15 mins before showering, the water heated up within 5 minutes it seemed. For someone who loves really hot showers, I wasn't disappointed at all. The hotel facade and interior is a little dated, it being an old building and hotel, but more importantly, it is clean. Walls and furniture were very clean and room had no funny smells or insects/bugs. Old TV, but FOX movie channel kept us entertained whenever we were in the room. Room space was ok, not that spacious, but not too cramped either. Small windows but enough to brighten the room if the curtains are pushed aside. Blackout curtains made it dark enough for a restful sleep. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It is right next to the historical landmarks of Stadhuys and St Paul's church, and just a 5-minute walk away from Jonker St. The River Cruise and boardwalk is also 5 minutes away. It can get noisy at certain times due to other guests walking along the corridor outside your room (not very soundproof) and especially from the trishaws' loud music outside, but it's all part of the festivities and fun of staying in the heart of Melaka town.

Great location, comfortable room”
We stayed at Aldy for 2 nights. The hotel has excellent location where most of Melaka attractions surrounded. Only a short walk to Jonker st, Queen Victoria fountain, Stadhuy, St Paul historical church, Femosa...and very close to the river. I was a bit disappointed as all the shops at Jonker st close at 5.00 pm. But we found strolling along the river bank was so relaxing and romantic. We like our room. It is spacious and clean. Staff is just ok, not very friendly and helpful. The bathtub' plug was stucted and we had to wait until the next morning for it to be fixed. Restaurant's staff not friendly when serving breakfast but their service improved for paid dinner. Having dinners at Aldy are great time as there were beautiful live music, which remind us of the old days, and very relaxing. Despite small things, we like this hotel and will come back. Much more happy and satisfy if receive friendly smiles from hotel staff.

Spacious Rooms with Excellent Service”
aldy was a great experience. the staff are extremely friendly and jovial. the room was suriprisingly spacious!! it was awesome!!! loved the bath tub too!! the roof-top jacuzzi is excellent for winding down or just chilling. within walking distance to jonker street, heritage walk, st paul's, dutch square and shopping centres, we saved money on taxi fares. altogether a great place to stay and i will not hesitate to recommend aldy and stay there during my next trip to malacca.

Excellent location, pleasant hotel, great bistro”
the aldy like (i suspect) all hotels in malacca is overpriced for the standard. the management would do well to finish repainting (one wall in the junior suite had very obvious pointing and grouting that needs painting over)and replace the old, scratchy towels. the batteries went in the tv remote control on the first night. not enough toilet roll was provided as i ran out early on both days (and i'm only a single person). however on the positive side, unlike other reviewers i found the aircon ok and would recommend asking for a spare room key so you can leave it on whilst outside the room (the room key controls the power). the bed was comfortable and i liked the pillows. the rooftop jacuzzi is a bit scruffy but actually rather nice on a hot day. and the breakfast options at the bamboo bistro were fantastic (western, nasi lemak, roti prata). i had lunch there also which was delicious. due to the above and the great location right in the middle of malacca - and because the aldy has some character - i would stay there again.

excellent location, needs to renovate”
my second stay at Aldy pales in comparison to the first time i was here 5 years ago. sure its older now so it could use a little upgrading, however everything else is good like how its so close to stadhuys, the mall and jonker walk. really, to see these places, all you need is Aldy. The fact that you are staying a stone's throw away from all the major attractions is enough. sidenote: the aircon needs work.

Great!”
I spent quite some time in choosing the accommodation for this trip and was pretty satisfied to have chosen Aldy Hotel. My first priority was location and this was perfect. It was located right across the bridge after Jonker Street and was within a walking distance to all the sites, entertainment , restaurants and cafes. The hotel room and the attached bathroom were clean. There was a tv with satellite channels and we also had a bar fridge. The receptionists were efficient and also helpful with our queries. The bad? Another reason for choosing the Aldy Hotel was because of the rooftop jacuuzi but this was a disappointment. While the rooftop offered a great view of Melaka, the jacuuzi was really dirty and there was no way we were getting in. Will I stay at this hotel again? Yes, if I'm travelling with a group of people. If I am on a solo trip, I will probably stay at a guest house or hostel for much cheaper.

Large, comfortable room.”
Aldy Stadhuys hotel is coveniently located, a stone's throw away from Jonker's Street, A'Famosa Fort, St. Paul's Hill, Christ Church Melaka and about a 10 min walk from major shopping centres. Our room was clean, large and cosy with 2 queen sized beds. Very comfortable for the 4 of us. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The downside of my stay, was that our room on the first floor facing the front of the hotel. Being a light sleeper, I was woken up a few times during the night, up to 1.30am by trishaw riders and their blaring music.

Strategic location for all travel spots”
Aldy Hotel located right at the middle of all the major travel attractions like stadhuys, A Famosa, TLDM Museum, and all other museums. Jonker Street is just a street away and even the river cruise terminal is very near. The strategic location make it very very convenience if you are not familiar to drive around. Just park and stay, and walk to all the tourist spots.

Simple Hotel at a Perfect Location”
The room is very basic and the rate is at the expensive side for the kind of rooms that we got. However, the location makes up for it. Aldy Hotel Stadhuys is located very near to St Paul's Church, between Jonker Street and the shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade). This is a very convenient location if you want to visit all places and it will make shopping easier as we can always drop the stuffs at the hotel before going from the shopping mall to Jonker Street and vice versa. The staffs are very friendly and they have pretty good breakfast.

Fantastic location”
It was my first stay in this hotel with 2 other friends. The exterior might need a little touch up but everything else was great. The location of this hotel earned all the brownie points. We could easily walk to Jonker Street which is 2 mins away and other attraction spot is only about 5-15mins walk. I'm also satisfied with the room and bathroom size and the bed is comfortable too. However, we did not have a chance to taste their restaurant's food as Jonker Street has more to offer but they do serve great breakfast. If you are worried about security, fret not as the police station is literally right next door. Will definitely stay here again if I were to visit Malacca again. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel and amenities”
Aldy Hotel Stadhuys is a nice hotel to begin with. It's very convenient in terms of location and for shopping purposes. Also, the room is quite big, enough to accomodate my family. Food can be described as average, as there wasn't the traditional buffet set-up. Hotel features are classy but a bit quite old. Lastly, it would be better if the hotel would have a swimming pool in addition to the available jacuzzi, in order to make the hotel stay more pleasurable. Overall, it was a nice stay but it wouldn't hurt to improve the hotel some more.

Convenient, Clean, and Cheap (breakfast)”
First of all, location is in the heart of the city attractions - it's located at the foot of the St Paul's hill. Once you have driven in and parked (yes, there's free parking - on the road around the hotel), you can just walk to get to the many places of interest eg. St Paul's Church, A' Famosa, The Stadhuys, Maritime Museum, Menara Taming Sari, Melaka River Cruise, and Jonker Street. Secondly, the room rate for family of four is cheap. It is simple but that's what we need - a place to rest/sleep and freshen up. And it's clean. Thirdly, the breakfast comprising of local stuff (eg. nasi lemak) is nothing fancy, but is good enough for us. The other negative thing is that, you may get occasional blaring of loud music (eg. Let it go) from trishaws passing through the place late in the night. It may be annoying if you are tired and trying to get some sleep early.

Best 3-star Hotel”
We had a great time at the hotel. With its relatively plush accommodation (which we did not expect at all), staying there was a treat for us because we were tired from our travel from Singapore and Legoland. So far, it was the best 3-star hotel we've stayed in. With its convenient location, we were able to see the historic attractions and shop for some souvenirs in one day before hitting the road again to head for Kuala Lumpur. Add the free breakfast, free wi-fi, and the accommodating staff (who allowed us to deposit our luggage free of charge even after we've already check-out and arranged our transport to Melaka Sentral), our stay in Aldy Hotel was, accommodation-wise, the best part of our Singapore-Malaysia travel.

Great Location”
the hotel is great location even though with limited car park on public holidays but you can have walking distance to Jonker Walk, Pahlawan mall, Stadhuys. the hotel staff are helpful and friendly, they even allow us to park the car beside the hotel so that we can visit the museum without worrying on driving there and look for car park.

Centrally located, normal room standard”
The hotel is located right in the center of Malacca heritage area. Most outstanding attractions like Dutch Square, Stadhuys museum, St Paul church, Afamosa fort, maritime museum, Jonker Street, river side only take some minutes walking. Room is nothing special, toilet is a little difficult to flush, but we only stay 1 night so dont bother. When we were there, there is renovation so the place is not as nice as it should be, but its fine. Friendly staff. Food is quite nice but a little more expensive then food in the nearby Jonker Street. Nice live music at night for dinner and coffee time. In general it is good but we expect the price can be lower.

An awesome stay in Aldy hotel”
My girlfriend and I enjoyed the stay in Aldy Hotel. However, since it is very closed to attraction points, it is a bit noisy at night. The jacuzzi at the rooftop is very relaxing :) Hopefully we can stay at there when we travel to Malacca in the future.

Relaxing stay in Aldy Hotel”
I enjoy the stay in Aldy Hotel Stadhuys. I love the jacuzzi on rooftop, where I can see the city view. Moreover, the breakfast is delicious, but I hope it can provide breakfast buffet, so that visitors can have more choices. It is very closed to various attractions, however, it is noisy as well.
