Decent stay, affordable, good location.”
Decent place! Didn't have too much expectations after reading some of the reviews, but the room was more pleasant than i imagined. Parquet interiors. A double bed in the corner and a big "living area", with 2 chairs and a table. Enough to put another bed! Staff and cleanliness okay. There was hot water in the showers, and the bed was heated too. Do note that check-out time is at 11am. Check-in is at 3pm. You can come in early and leave your lugguage at the front desk and go explore the area or go hiking. We went for lunch, a hike, saw the sunset and had dinner before checking in.

Its located at the hotel area in Alishan Recreational Park. Price average as other hotel. The room have warmer, and adjustable bed warmer also. Very comfortable. Overall good!

Very clean and relaxing hotel but lack in modern facilities.”
Hotel rooms are nice and clean. Rooms are well designed. The design of the rooms are classic that matches the environment. However, it lacks in modern facilities like door with RF keys, room heater. Door still uses old locks. Also, the room heater is just a fan heater which is not enough to warm to whole room especially in cold winters. But the overall experience is very good. No huge complains. I would recommend it to other travelers.

Excellent for a group of foreigners. The hotel staff helped us set up a sun rise trip which made the whole experience a lot easier. The hotel was clean and close to all the food in town. It was a little small so I would not recommend staying with a large suitcases.

the breakfast is not at the hotel, need to walk to another place to have the breakfast. disappointed on the breakfast. the room bathroom have one kind of bad smell, i guess is came out from the drainage.

The location is perfect for people who are looking into a short holiday trip at Alishan. It is near the Alishan train station. Just a few minutes walk to restaurants and 7 eleven. The heater is enough to keep us warm. Great!

Room with heater & hot blanket”
Though the hotel is pretty aged, they provide good facilities such as hot bath, room heater and hot blanket! Much needed when you're staying at average of 8 - 13 degree celcius.

Heating was limited but glorious view of sunset”
Our room was equipped with a portable heating that did not really help with heating up the room with temperatures down to 2 deg Celcius. The beds had heating pads but the intermittent heating it provided meant kicking off the blanket at times and pulling them back up on and off. Slept terribly, partly due to fear of missing the morning call for sunrise train. The rooftop (6th floor) has a step frame you can climb up to view the sunset! Don't miss this! Breakfast was served at a coffee shop near the Alishan Forest Train Station, not at the hotel. Good Taiwanese bfast.

Worth it for warmth and comfort”
We stayed in December, so Alishan got very chilly in the mornings and at night. The place is definitely a little outdated and have seen better days, but the bed and sheets were clean. We had a very old heater in the corner of the room that was so-so, but our beds had heated mattress pads!!!! Wow was that amazing. There is also a roof terrace (nothing fancy) but you can see the mountain from up there. We saw the sea of clouds and the sunset from up there. Would recommend if you’re looking for a warm place to stay, it was worth it for us.

near to the vistor centre and shops.. not recommendated for those bringing luggage as there will be stairs while going to the hotel. there's heater in the room and electric blanket. there's lift in the hotel. they do provide morning call and tour for sunrise. breakfast will be provided at another place.

Overpriced”
1. They claim themselves to be a 4-star hotel. Nope, it's not because there are no 4-star facilities, it's just a 2-star hotel. So it's clearly overpriced. 2. There's a bathtub made only to claim that they're a 4-star hotel. It's so small, even kids can't fit in that bathtub. There's no space to shower. Such a compact bathroom that's poorly designed. 3. The room ain't that big either. 4 people can't get enough space for themselves, and it is really really disappointing especially after paying so much money. This place still exists only because there aren't much options around alishan. I wouldn't recommend people to book this hotel if they do not reduce the price.

Great location, heater is good. They provided us electric blanket too which kept us warm in this cold climate. There was a free shuttle bus service to the bus station. However, the check out time is earlier than the actual check out time written in the website.

Right at the entry points to main attractions”
The hotel is oldish and looks weary and worn down. It is located where other hotels are situated, and at the furthest point any public car can get to. The plus side: it is right at the entry point to the national park, the Alishan train station, restaurants and other shops. The reception was warm and friendly. Registration was not pre-prepared, hence have to fill in a form. The room is reasonable big and so is the bathroom. It is like the rest of the hotel: oldish, weary-looking and worn down. The bed does not afford a comfortable sleep. There is a heater that works reasonably well. There's a bathtub and hot/cold water shower. Wifi is good and free. Parking is free and available just outside the hotel. Breakfast is not in the hotel, but at a restaurant (5 mins walk), that seem to be the only one opened and also serve guests from other hotels and walk-ins, hence be prepared to jostle with them. It served typical local fares and is buffet-style.
