Very good”
It’s got to be one of the oldest hotels in Alice and our room was old however if it’s just a room to sleep, have a shower and not spend your whole time in the room, then it’s fine. The staff make up for everything else, very friendly and helpful. They were renovating whilst we were there so if I seen what the new rooms look like when they finished I’ll definitely stay there again, thanks for the great hospitality

Communication is bad. No staff in the reception to answer call during check-in hours”
The property's gates close during check-in 2pm-5pm. Can't get in to the property needed codes to enter. Travelled from afar, needs accommodation by 2pm to check-in hours but staff not around even to answer calls. Communication is bad, no alternate numbers to call, should have given guest's notice, email or text if changes has to be made during normal check-in times. Reception not polite enough to explain why we waited long before we entered the property. Worst experience ever

Currently being renovated and in my opinion the Motel should close down until renovations are complete as the current rooms on offer are the old rooms that are dirty tired and worn out.

They might be renovating but it was not mentioned on website. Also the extra $150 deposit was not mentioned until arrival. Their cleaning equipment was left at my room. They wouldn't cancel my room once I found these things out.

Place from hell”
Lovely staff but my gosh this hotel needs a serious clean. Absolutely filthy, no blankets, no cutlery, bathroom wasn't cleaned after previous guest, diarrhoea behind toilet, carpet was putrid the list goes on and on. It's budget accommodation but that doesn't mean it should be filthy. The permanent boarder two doors down from our room was drunk, screaming and yelling, swearing, death threats exchanged with a male that was visiting her. This went on until 3am, we had no sleep that night so left 2 days early, couldn't wait to leave...unbelievable!

Upon arrival, it looks like a construction or demolition site. No-one was at reception, which was locked. I called the mobile number on the door but no one answered. The room had stained carpet and a tap that couldn’t be turned off. I was given another room but it had no cutlery, no cup and no chair to sit on. Luckily I only had to stay for one night.

receptionist is liar and a trying to rip off money-as she asked for security deposit of $150. also rooms are very bad , toilets not cleaned properly and receptionist was so rude.

Thank you for your comment unfortunately we are required to ask for a room bond as keys/towels and damages occur on a regular basis and majority of accommodation will do this. It is just a safety for hotel/motel owners which was explained to you numerous times and you were given a full refund when you checked out so unsure what the problem is, the receptionist has to follow rules and that is one of the rules to hiring a room for the duration of your stay. All guests are charged that amount. The receptionist did tell you the rooms are under renovation and was happy to give you a full refund should you choose to leave which you declined and stayed and let her know you were fine with. The rec3eptionist made sure anything you required for the room was done, ie fresh sheets, clean towels. We are sorry you feel this way and will strive to give better service to future guests. Very disappointed, the room smelt, the fridge didn’t work, there was a grub in the bed when I pulled back the sheets, I slept on top of the spare bed. Sorry to say place needs immediate attention.

Great Budget Hotel in Red Centre”
This is one of the best accommodations we've made this trip, and it was such a great value. The inn is within walking distance to the CBD (if you can call it that). There was plenty of free parking. Hera, the manager, checked us in early into an upgraded room. We didn't even request it, but appreciated the great customer service. I had made two separate bookings, and without issue, Hera arranged it so that we did not have to check out between bookings. Things continued to look up when we saw our room. It was clean and large with soft carpet that had obviously been recently vacuumed. The deluxe room had a queen bed and a single bed in addition to a fridge and ensuite bathroom…with hot water and strong pressure (such a pleasure when we've been doing shared bathrooms at hostels). I've come to appreciate cleanliness even more so after traveling through the NT and the Red Centre. It seems that insects are a given when staying at many places...along with filthy communal kitchens. Hera and the rest of the staff must work endlessly to keep the place so spotless. Just a few issues though: spotty wifi (though it is free and avail in the room) and poor breakfast selection (bread with spreads, cereal and milk...instant coffee perhaps and tea...nothing exciting...yet still a big plus since it is free). I think on the whole, budget hotels in Australia aren't as good as elsewhere. So I was very pleased with Alice Motor Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Very helpful manager and comfortable stay”
Fantastic stay here. Only one night waiting for flight next day. After 4 days camping in the outback this was our re charge time before flying to the next place and it was great. Manager very helpful, let us check in early and after we checked out the next day we hung by the pool using WIFI until the shuttle they organised for us came. Manager even let us use the kitchen while we waited. Pool area is nice, location is quiet and easy enough walk to town (Alice Springs itself is not great though!). Rooms were nice and big, AC and WIFI, everything you need!

I needed a safe quiet clean motel to stay with my motorbike overnight. This one filled the needs very pleasantly. The only staff I spoke to was the Manageress and she was friendly and helpful. When I next need a room in the Alice I know where I will stay and have the problems recomending it to others

Great value for money for a Northern Terriotory Hotel, they are usually overpriced and smell, but this is a great budget hotel with large rooms, free breakfast and an external kitchen, fast WIFI and in a quiet area. The staff are very helpful and friendly which is also becoming very rare in the Northern Territory.
