Very clean and staff spoke perfect English”

Good value. Clean, comfortable bed, and efficient, helpful staff. Only downside is there’s no coffee station and it’s hard to find coffee early in the morning in this area. A coffee station would make this place a perfect 5 stars all around.

Valuable and huge clean room ”

We stayed just 2 nights and had a great time with cleanliness and huge comfortable room. It’s possible to rent a motor bike and also we were able to book bus tickets for don det. One reception girl was so cool and nice with fluent English. Place was nice to get everything like super market, restaurant etc..

great room except for the mosquitoes ”

I loved this room until I noticed that there was no way to close the window! The screen had a huge hole in it and the mosquitoes were getting in. Fortunately they didn't seem to want to bite me but it was still unnerving - likely just a problem in my room and not the others. The staff were great and spoke English exceptionally well. Great wifi

        Good spot in Pakse”

A good spot in Pakse, close to bike rental and best featured eateries. Room comes with AC and TV (though no channels in English), and wifi in room is fine (by comparison). Early check-in was not available.

        Lovely balcony rooms”

Clean, comfortable rooms - nice and chilly with the AC, which was a big relief from the heat of Pakse. We particularly enjoyed the balcony rooms, which had a great view and a nice seating area. Would recommend!

        Great stay ”

Great, convenient location. Nice, clean rooms with good AC - especially lovely if you can get a balcony room. We circled around Pakse with a motorbike and ended up returning here several times, because the rooms are reliably comfortable and the price is right. The staff is also lovely - they even helped retrieve our washing from the roof when it blew off our balcony during a storm! Highly recommended.

        Pakse central”

We stayed here on three separate occasions coming in and out of Pakse. The guesthouse is centrally located to restaurants, bars , tourist agencies and motorbike rentals. The rooms and lobby were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and they allowed us to leave our bags with them when we went on a four day motorbike tour. We also stayed their after our tour of 4000 Islands. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse not only for it's location but also for the value. Great springboard to get to locations outside of Pakse.

Downtown location near restaurants & mini-mart”

We stayed here twice during our travels, both times in a triple room with a balcony overlooking the street. It was a large room, clean with TV, fridge, A/C, 3 single beds & bathroom amenities. The room had 6 lights but only 2 worked so was a bit dim. This was a very popular hotel as both times stayed there they had a FULL sign on the door & turned away many people. The front staff had adequate English & was helpful. Free wifi & worked okay in the room but weak on balcony. There is a great mini-mart across the street & several restaurants nearby, also ATM’s. If in Pakse again, would probably stay there again.

        Spotlessly Clean”

Alisa Guesthouse is a breath of clean, fresh air. The room as well as common area was spotlessly clean and spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the street. The hot water was plentiful. The staff, although with limited English, are pleasant and personable. The only complaint is, and I know I join a chorus of others, that there is no internet in the room. Nonetheless, excellent value for money.

        Very good”

Nice big room with a fresh look... mine even had a mountain view... The bed was comfortable apart from the other occupants (a few ants).... I don't recall there being a fridge, but I'm not sure... The real downer was the bathroom... it had that typical (slight) sliminess that you get from budget rooms. The bathroom smelt awful, and if you left the door open, it made the whole room reek! The shower had 2 options for the duration of your wash; cold or burning hot... The only way to stop the shower being burning hot was to flip the main switch outside the bathroom!

        Alright but don’t recommend”

Facilities were fine - bed was comfortable and shower had hot water but the WiFi didn’t work at all in our room. Was annoying to always go down to do anything online. Staff spoke some English but very little. We booked a bus to Thakheak which we were told would arrive at 2:30pm but we arrived at 8pm. Think they couldn’t be bothered to put us on the non-local bus as we made several stops. There was also a price descreptency (by about double the cost). I think Lonely Planet needs to re-visit.

Location was great & super comfy bed. Shower had no cold water so was a bit challenging to not get burnt. The rooms are very large and really cheap. If you need WiFi don't book here unless you plan on camping out in the lobby to use it. Staff are not so helpful with travel needs or questions. Hotel lobby, stairwell, and rooms are FULL mosquitos. I think because it is so river. There are a few cheap restaurants nearby and a Mini Mart across the street.
