4th stay here”
We keep coming back.. the resort is always clean and we had room A3 this time which is a great room on the pool. Staff is great and food is good.. location is one of the best in Alona right on the beach.
Location is excellent, just along the beach”
We met some problem when we entered our room. The light in bathroom didnt work and no water after my friend finished shower. We had to wait an hour for water, and the lightbub problem solve quickly. The breakfast is good, and the view of the restaurant is wonderful.
Just the right kind of hotel”
I've stayed in 5-star hotels (Hennan) and 2 star places (Lost Horizon) and I can honestly say this one is just right - not too fancy but "luxurious" enough to enjoy staying and hanging out during the day. Decent size room, clean functional bathroom, easy access to the pool, the restaurant and a few steps away from the beach, literally (i.e. you get up in the morning and walk for 20 seconds and your feet are on beach sand). Service is excellent as is typical with many Filipino hotels, food is good and reasonably priced. Band music at night if you want to just zone out after a day's worth of touring. Our unit came with a little patio up front where you could just drink coffee and relax with a view of the pool. For the price, this place is highly recommended. Wifi isn't as strong but that's typical in all these small hotels, maybe just because of the sheer amount of people trying to save on their data plans. I wish I had stayed here instead of the first hotel we stayed at.
Superior room has king size bed. Very comfortable. Nice shower. Room has television. Pool is small but adequate. Wifi is an issue. Different password for the restaurant and has to be changed every 1. 5 hours. Different password for your room changes every 3 days. Very inconvenient. Wifi weak at times. Biggest disappointment was the lack of attention and service by the restaurant staff. One supper we waited 1/2 hr just get drinks and place order. They never look around to see who is ready to order or would like more drinks. They are too busy standing around. Another German couple waited half an hour then got up and left because no one came to serve them. Very very disappointing. Even the the food was very good here we ate at different places after the first two days. I would still recommend this as a place to stay, just don’t plan on using their restaurant
This is a very good hotel located on Alona Beach which is the best beach in the island in my opinion. The hotel had great atmosphere with live music in the evenings, but the food was slightly higher in price compared to some nearby competitors. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
No frills, great accomodation”
We stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights just mostly out of our room, so the standard room is a practical one. We booked the Standard room which are only located by the resto bar, so better bring your earplugs if you want to sleep before 12mn. There's a band playing til 11 or 12mn. Overall stay was pleasant, hospitable staff, good food and entertainment in their restobar and airport shuttle pick-ups and drop-off was well coordinated. Only problem we had was that, we had to wait 40 minutes for our breakfast to be served. Breakfast starts at 7am, we ordered in advanced for the next day so we won't miss our shuttle pick up and flight. Overall, we had a great stay.
Great location, helpful staff”
Central location and right on the beach Very helpful staff and allowed baggage storage after check out. There is a great bar area on the beach with music in the evening. Rooms are clean and spacious and good air conditioning. Definitely recommend.
Relatively pricey but good location”
Great location. Great customer service. Clean and spacious room. Its restaurant is good and has a chill environment. Beach shore is so so. Side of Hennan is better as our area is not that well maintaned. Too many rocks. Good place if you will be having tours everyday and will not spend your time in the resort. If you want to chill or spend your holidays in a resort,go to Dumaluan beach area or splurge in Henann or Amorita.
Calme place on a very lively beach”
Room are at the back of the very lively beach facing a court with a little swimming pool surended by tree... so it’s not so noisy... but air conditioning is noisy... staff is so so friendly and helpful👍
A great hotel with nice rooms and perfect beach front setting. Staff are friendly. The "except"? They gave me a recently painted room that smelled awful. I got a bad head ache very quickly. I asked for a change and they gave me another room. After that they had the sliding glass window of the original room opened and had a fan airing the room out. I dont think they should even book out the room. The fumes had to be hazardous. They should not hope that they can get a customer who would acquiesce to staying in that room. Even with this experience, I would still rate the hotel a resounding 5.
Great resort! Value for money”
Location is really good. The resort entrance doesnt look impressive but once you get inside, it is quite cool and breezy because there are several trees within the area. Each room also has a patio which i really appreciate This resort is a bang for the buck. I will definitely stay here again if I were to go to Panglao again.
Great place directly at the beach”
- It’s not possible the get to te front with taxi, need to walk the last 200 over the beach. The rooms in the front are near the bar and can be noisy. The reception is not 24H, but security is always 24H present + Great and friendly staff The location directly at the beach One of the most lively bars on the beach is part of the resort Nice clean pool, just large enough for a good swim The hotel restaurant serves good food Good size rooms with many tv channels
Wonderful location. good food
It was so good clean room nice breakfast swimming pool you never regret
Great place to stay”
It was a nice place to stay near Alona beach. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was clean The staff are very friendly. The food in their restaurant might be a little bit costly, but it has a variety of delicious foods. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this resort.
hotel is located on the beach but do note that there is a distance from the road and no service to help carry luggage. sand will get into your wheels if you decide to roll your luggage. hotel pub at night is good with live band.
Lovely location, quite expensive, nice pool for the children, very noisy in the evenings!”
Lovely clean well-appointed rooms, although very small for families, rooms that claim suitable for three adults really only big enough for two!! Request extra bed and you get a mattress for the floor. The location is right on the beach which is lovely but noisy if you have young children although we most likely would stay in this area again. Staff extremely friendly, and try and do the best they can! Plenty of restaurants suitable for families. Limited television channels but ok! Wi-Fi pretty erratic but would not expect alot on an island. We were initially very disappointed with the room but overall had a lovely stay!
Good location on Aloana Beach strip”
Pros - location on best part of beach, great nightly house band, restaurant bar great, service of reception and cleaners efficient, great porters, Cons - hard thin latex mattress, room service only in afternoons, pool shared with divers doing training, Overall B+ would be an A+ with a better beds, less divers practicing in the pool in the afternoon. Tips - Top floor room at rear away from bar to sleep
Great Place! Fantastic Customer Service!”
Alona Vida is such a nice hotel with an even greater customer service. I made a request for a very special occasion and they exceeded way beyond my expectations. It was just overwhelming! Other than that, the courteousness of their staff (everywhere) is just a game changer. Their pool is just amazing - I can’t sense any chemical in it. The restaurant serves great food as well and the hotel is just in front of the beach. If anything, our only challenge is getting to the hotel itself - had to walk a couple of minutes on sand which can be a bit challenging if you have a luggage with you. Other than that, the place is perfect, and a great value for money indeed. Would definitely consider it on my return to Bohol.
the staff are friendly and helpful. They arrange my parent's tour. The location is really good, near the beach and restaurants. They have a band at night and the performance is awesome. My dad really enjoy it.
