Comfortable stay”

We are a family of 5. We liked the spacious 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen utensils supplies more than we need. This was the only place we did our cooking during our stay in NZ. Our apartment was on the 2nd floor. It did give a little problem to send our heavy luggage bags up. However, we were also assigned a carpark space right in front of our staircase. We still found it convenient as we could keep those less frequently used bags in car, and we could go down to get stuff when we really needed easily. I liked the view on the 2/F. My kids enjoyed the hot tubs and the swimming pool there too. They had a great time there after back from going-out, and they had made friends there too. I found Alpine Pacific Holiday Park a comfortable and cozy place to stay.

alpine pacific holiday park is a great place to stay! the whole campground prides itself on cleanliness and providing a wonderful, relaxing environment. the bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor bbq areas are well appointed and the pool/spa pools are delightful. the views are amazing and the park like settings make you feel very welcome and comfortable.

Acceptable motel room but poor wifi”

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was close by Kaikoura center. The wifi was very slow, with bad reception and only 100mb of free use per day. The kitchen area has almost no shared pots and pans to use.

Value for money and close to whale watching!”

We booked this hotel on same day (as our whale watching tour got cancelled that day) and was very happy they could accommodate us. Our room was simple but clean and had a heater that was working and enough blankets to keep us warm. The location is great too, with grocery and some restaurants just walking distance. The staff was great - friendly, hospitable, and gave great recommendations!

Excellent budget stay at kaikoura”

Excellently priced cabins for an overnight stay right in town next to shops. Showers and toilets were a 1 min walk from the cabins which can be cold but otherwise it's an excellent stay!

Nice Stay at the heart of Kaikoura”

It was a nice experience staying at this hostel. However, the room where I stayed was a bit far from the toilet (approximately 30 m from the toilet and kitchen). We have to pay for the cooking utensils as well if we want to use it. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. The room was clean and warm in the winter.

Good, but overpriced”

We stayed here for one night as we were in town for whale watching. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was clean, but extremely hot in the afternoon (ceiling fan didn’t quite cut it) and very overpriced for what it was, it’s the most expensive place we stayed at in NZ and you have to remember it’s in a caravan park and there weren’t even any basic products in the bathroom! Would look for better value elsewhere next time.

Welcoming receptionist. Clean rooms with good heating. Amazing view from our room. Loved the little stream next to the property. Cooking facilities, showers and toilets were good. 5 mins drive to the seal colony. Handy to the supermarket, restaurants and a bar.

Room adequate but pretty snug. Online pictures showed fridge & TV in our cabin however cabin had neither, didn't matter too much as was 1 night stay only. Comfortable beds & warm room. Kids loved tramp & hot pools. Friendly & helpful lady on reception 😊

Clean and comfortable”

It was a perfect stay! The place is centrally located and our room was clean and nicely decorated. The view from outside our room was breathtaking. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.

Comfortable holiday park”

We were originally staying in the basic hut but upgraded so that we could have an ensuite. The upgraded room was comfortable and a good size with a little kitchenette area. We were only there for one night though so just walked down to a restaurant instead. Reasonable value given that it was peak season.

Absolutely fabulous”

Everything was perfect. I did not have the chance to meet the staff unfortunately since we had a whalewatching very early but all went smoothly, bedding was amazing, bathrooms and kitchen super super clean. Only problem is that we were cold at night and we had no way to ask for an additional blanket since the reception is closed at night. I'll definitely recommend and will come back!!

Good place to stay if you don’t need it dark to sleep. ”

Great room but quite a walk from main part of town where the bus drops you off. My main issue was that there was an incredibly bright light right outside the room that made it impossible to sleep. I spoke to reception who said they would talk to management about turning the light off but this didn’t happen. I only managed to get around 2-3 hours sleep per night.

Great facilities and location”

Very helpful staff is always a bonus. Great location, close to supermarket and takeaway,great bakery next door! Hot tubs along with all others facilities were spotless, BBQ and camp kitchen. 1 bedroom unit was wonderful with dishwasher and wifi.

KAIKOURA STAY”

The town has been badly effected by the Nov 14 7.8 EQ. But is slowly returning to nor.mal due to SHW 1 South to Christchurch and SHW 70 open to Mt Lyford and SHW 7 to Hammer Springs. Great to visit and safe despite after shocks

Didn't realize we had booked a room without cooking facilities but we made do. Large communal kitchen when needed and many take away places nearby. Tiny but cozy room.

Helpful front desk staff. Superbly clean unit with everything we needed. Very central location with fab hot tubs (pool out of action for the winter).
