SUPER- DUPER-AMAZING!!”
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. This was my first budget hotel and it really exceeded my expectations. It's near the jetty point and the Kuah town attractions but far away from most tourist attractions and all of the beaches. I didn't mind paying for the taxi though. I just needed somewhere to rest my bag and a comfortable bed to sleep in. Altis Hotel provided that!

Nice budget hotel at city centre”
The hotel is located at city centre, surrounded by quite a number of duty free shopping malls. The hotel is clean and the staffs are friendly. I hired a car while I was travelling in Langkawi and I could easily find a parking space near the hotel at any time. The hotel is also near Kuah Jetty and a few tourist attractions. There are also many restaurants near the hotel.

Pros : location closeby to Langkawi Parade, food area, walking distance to nightmarket and possible walking distance to Taman Lagenda if you are a walking person type. The famous Wan Thai and Shell out is also at walking distance . Cons : i found stray dogs at night in that area . Maybe 8,9 of them.

Altus was an awesome budget hotel. It is far from the popular beaches in langkawi, but the staff is great and they will set you up to do whatever you want. They just opened a new restaurant too. The hotel was just remodeled and it is very clean.

At first I was afraid of the hotel condition as written by others customer, but once I stay there, it feels like home, RM58 for single room with bathroom and air-conditioner! There's more but I'm to lazy to list hahaha. Anyway the staff is very very very friendly, that's why I said it feels like home :)

Cheap and Cheerful though a car/bike is essential!”
Quick check-in by friendly staff, room was very small but very clean as was the toilet shower that functioned well. Happy to have A/C and a comfortable bed for the price. This Hotel is a little out of the way but worth it for the price. A great 'Mamak' restaurant just near by but not much else. A car or other transportation is a must when staying at this hotel but worth it nonetheless.

Me and my gf went for a 3 days 2 nights stay at this hotel. It is newly renovated and to our expectation it was great even they are still undergoing some modifications. The room is great for 2 person and the bathroom are clean. Towels and shampoo are provided. Housekeeping is provided as well. If you are planning for a short trip and want to find a good nights rest after a long day, this is a great choice to consider.

It's a very cheap hotel but the room is very cozy and nice even though it's a bit small. After all it's enough for myself. The location is a bit dingy but that's not really a problem. It's near to a 24/7 convenient shop, some restaurants and also HIG Mall. Over all a very good hotel for a very cheap price.

The Flush toilet is not good, the staff not cleaning our room and they are throwing our rubbish. There's is some smell in side the room, also the blanket is not clean as other hotel do. Even this hotel is budget hotel but they must keep the blanket and the room are clean. Last but not least I've enjoy travelling at Langkawi.

It was a cheap / budget hotel. We stayed here for 1 night. The room was small, but we we didn't mind because it was a budget hotel. The design was modern, hallway n room were clean and neat. Definitely worth to stay for a short n budget trip.

i really surprised when i saw the room hotel. very small! the bathroom also small. but it is really not worth it. i am quite regret. My husband too felt disappointed. everything small. i stayed there in holiday season. at very early morning we can hear some noisy, people outside the room talk too loud. hotel's staff should avoid this manner, should aware this problem, and please put some note in front or hang the note at the wall so that customer not talk too loud like this hotel is their house! The rest is affordable to me, the mattress, and there also hot shower. I just don't like the very small size of room which is not worth with the price I paid. No space to hang the clothes, no space to put all the belongings too and no space for me to pray. No breakfast provided. No parking place (just park at your own risk in front of the hotel) This hotel is close to Wan Thai Restaurant, close to Jetty Kuah, close to EEBurger restaurant and many shopping complex just nearby the hotel.

The hotel is very easy to find, along the main road. However, no hotel parking provided (I received a summon on my last day staying there.. T_T). The hotel located near to many attractive places and restaurant such as Dataran Lang, Taman Lagenda, Wan Thai Restaurant, EE Burger, etc. I choose standard queen room. The room and its toilet is small, not like what i'm expecting. Difficult to perform my solat (pray) in the room. However, their staffs are friendly and housekeeping services were done everyday.

WORST ever hotel”
Except the location is the pros the rest should be cons. Hotel is super small. A queen size bed and you cant walk n even lay flat your bag. Bed sheet n pillow are dity with yellowish stain. Toilet is dirty n extremely small. The hotel curtain almost torn down. Electrical plug is not functioning. There are 4 light bulbs inside the room but only 2 are functioning and never bother to replace. The room is dim. Just beside the road side so expect noises. Need 10 to 15 min walk to Kuah. There is a 7 Eleven along the shop lot.

Rated worse in overall i.e. from value for money, location, cleanliness incl. staff & its facilities”
The star rating of the property been striped off a few yrs ago but Agoda still advertising it as a two-(02)-star-hotel w/o verification of its business/operating license/accreditation cert. A quick check with LADA (Langkawi tourism board) will unfold the truth. Due to that, the owner/staffs at the property will continue to emphasize to the guest that the hotel is not a five-(05)-star-rated-hotel & so, they take no actions/do nothing at all when comes to guest complaints. Despite it strategic location (in Kuah city), the rooms are not built soundproofed & hence, do not expect quiet nights for the stay. Cleanliness is the major drawback (the worst). Been requested by the owner & staffs to stay in a room w/o hsekeeping due to the temp. hsekeeping staff is on leave & a further request to change to a clean/tidied room been denied too and again, with the same excuse i.e. "...it is not a five-(05)-star-hotel". Lastly, those photos posted on Agoda are not the real picture of the property now!!
