The most overpriced hotel I have ever stayed in.
We had to book a room in Kandy at the last minute and this was one of the only hotels that had any available. It was very expensive but we thought it would be nice to treat ourselves. What a disappointment then to find a bog standard room despite the fact they had given us a free upgrade. Small room, Cheap carpet, no hair dryer and an A/C that smelt of Urine when it was left on for a while. Hot water that took 20 minutes to come through and a broken sink plug. You need a tuc tuc to get to town and you get woken up at 4.45 am every morning with morning prayers. After three nights we moved to the OZO hotel which was immeasurably better, cheaper and was a comfortable walk to town.

Incredible view
Located about 2km out of downtown. It is a trek to get there and it is UP hill all the way. Tuk-tuk fares can run between 100-350 r.s depending on time of day and driver's inclination. The breakfast, which was included in our rate, was superb. The hotel is clean, staff accomodating and the rooms adequate.

Not worth for money avoid!!!!
Room carpet smells and wet. The lift has a funky smell too. Reception staff are not helpful. We ask for recommendation of sri lankan restaurant and they bring us to a touristy place with no local food at all. We requested for morning call of course no one called. Very disappointed!!!!

Dont get laundry done here!
The view was great 270 degree view from wrap around balcony, the wifi was quick and reliable, the ac worked well.
I was dissapointed on several occasions at the accomadation and only was there 1 night. On arrival i was rudely asked to sit down whilst the staff chatted about nothing important. I had my washing done as was nearing end of my trip and being a 4 star hotel expected the service to be of a good standard for the high price asked. On having my washing returned the next day i couldnt even wear them as the smell of chemicals on the cloths was so strong. I had to put on my underwear as all had been washed and whilst waiting at the smelly bus stop that was all i could smell. I told the staff about this and they where not concerned at all. I asked for them to reduce if not completely remove the charge which is 2300lkr but they said that is how they should be. I will now need to rewash all of my clothing as now all the cloths in my bag smell like this strong chemical fragrance. The second issue was i came down and asked where i could get a ciggarette being late at night and no shops near by they said they could source they promised 30 mins and would call my room. I waited an hour then went down to see what was happening. They promised only 5 more minutes and would call. I went up stairs waited another 30 mins to no call on returning back down they still hadnt sorted i told them not to worry il get my self. I was furious as if i had of know it would be that long at start i would of gone and got myself, in which i wasnt concerned about. On saying this and me walking outside they crossed the rd and supplied within 1 minute. The breakfast was horrible. I had been staying in sri lanka for 3 weeks and this was the worst i had had. It seems that they where not too concerned about any of the problems and showed no concern.

Decent Stay but Overpriced
Brekkie was excellent. Great views from the hilltop. Staff were friendly.
Decent stay but very overpriced. We paid about $175 for a room which in reality I would rate worth between $80 to $100. Maybe the premium is because of the view, but while the view is good, its not worth the premium. Walls are also very thin so you can hear neighbours and dogs. Water temp in the shower also very inconsistent - sometimes very hot, then suddenly turning cold. Hard to control the temp. Same with the A/C. We had to consistently adjust it throughout the night. The breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and attentive. Probably wont reccomend to friends or stay there again. Money can be better spent elsewhere I think

nice and comfortable with great view
view, servicre and location
it was seamless heading to the airport as it was close to the train station. The hotel staff was very helpful with getting us transport during our stay. The service for breakfast was excellant and the gorgeous view from the patio having our breakfast made is enjoyable. The cable TV had many channels and that pleased my boyfriend as he didnt missed his favourite football series.
