4-star hotel with a 5-star feel”
It is just next to the Royal temple and on the start of the famed Riverside that encompasses a plethora of cafés and restaurants along the busy road. The whole hotel has timber floors which is wonderful if one likes the old traditional feeling as opposed to the modernistic style. This corner property has only four floors with French style architecture that is almost postcard perfect. The rooms are LARGE with very good such as coffee machine, TWG tea, good flat screen TV and a very nice bathroom. There is quite a bit of "walking about" as the room is quite large and long. Just about everything is tip top including the consistent water pressure and water cleanliness! It's one of the few if the only one to have centralised air-conditioning in the rooms unlike quite a number of Cambodian hotels we stayed in with a domestic type of split air-conditioning such as Nagaworld, a 5-star rated casino hotel in Phnom Penh. The Amanjaya Pancam is strongly recommended if one is willing to pay about US$100 plus in the peak season for great rooms.

great location with huge rooms”
the amanjaya is right on the waterfront in phnom penh, and within walking distance to all the sites, restaurants and bars in the waterfront area. it has a prime corner location, and from our room, a standard junior suite ( all rooms are suites in this hotel) we had views of the river and riverfront. our room had a large balcony, ( as do all rooms)with views both north and south, as well as overlooking the riverfront, and it was furnished with a large wooden table and two comfortable chairs, ideal to spend time having a 'sundowner' and watching all the activity in front of you,( and up and down the street) the room is huge, and nicely furnished, with comfortable king bed, a large sofa, and two large lounge chairs, and a large coffee table. there is also a large writing desk with chair. the bathroom is also very large, with a big comfortable separate bath, a separate shower stall and separate toilet room. the floors are all polished wooden floorboards which are very comfortable to walk on. the walls have lots of artwork on them, and as well there was a very tasteful sculptured bust ( of king jayavarman?) in the room atop the tv cabinet. the free wifi in the room ( and in public areas) worked a treat, and was both fast and reliable. the service, from the front desk, room service, restaurant etc, could not be faulted...it was friendly, polite and efficient. ( they even allowed us a late check out until 2pm, to suit our late-afternon flight) breakfast, which was included in room rate, is taken in the 'kwest brasserie bar' and is chosen from the alacarte menu, and was delicious. tea or coffee, fruit juice, fresh fruit, pastrys, bacon and eggs etc ( makes a nice change not to have a buffet!) for the price paid for this hotel i was extremely happy with everything, and would certainly recommend it to my friends ( and to you dear reader!)

Mekong Magic”
I normally stay in a business type serviced apartment in Phnom Penh when I'm here (3-4 times a year) while that's suitable for business, Phnom Penh is such a wonderful place I often think I only get a narrow experience of what's on offer. I decided the last couple of times to stay at Amanjaya and have never looked back. I tend to take the premium rooms because of the massive size and breezy, quieter feel and they face the side of the hotel not the front busy riverside street. The balcony is wonderful and I often sleep with the French doors open. I look over the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Riverside area Wat Ounalom and where the Tonle Sap river meets the Mekong. Of course waking to the hundreds of locals enjoying aerobics while the sun rises is a not to be missed part of Cambodian life. the hotel is clean, there is a great roof top bar, and the biggest most tastefully decorated rooms I have ever had in the city. A little on the pricey side but ...I figure if you get caught up on price comparisons with western standards in a city like t his then you re spoiling your experience.

Remarkable Experience ”
My wife and I visited Phnom Penh for the first time and stayed here on the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. We planned to stay 3 nights and ended up staying four nights. The staff, restaurant, breakfast and rooms were all superb. Not your run of the mill hotel—the Amanjaya Pancam is full of character and grace. You will love the vibrant staff and the proximity to many sights in the town center. We will be back for sure, and bringing friends.

Great staff, great location and quality hotel stay”
I was excited about my stay at Amanjaya Pancam hotel as I saw photos and reviews online. The hotel is in good condition and very clean. It's décor is closer to true Khmer style than other hotels in the area. The breakfast at the hotel was nice and staff attentive and caring. The AC also worked which is more than I say for other chain hotels in the Asia-Pacific region. The value for the price paid was good, less than other 4/5 star hotels but you get more. I can't say enough about the location being on Sisowath Quay and close to other great restaurants, monuments and shopping in Phnom Penh. I would definitely stay here again.

Best Location in Phom Penh”
The Amanjaya is my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh. The Price may be high by compared to other four star hotels but one gets consistant value from the Amanjaya. The rooms are large and th2y are done in a collonial, cambodian style that is pleasant and functional. The staff is excellent and shows much attention to detail. The location on the riverfront and one block from the Royal Palace is the best of any hotel in Phnom Penh.

Best riverfront Hotel”
Although a bit pricier than some other riverfront hotels the Amanjaya is well worth a few extra dollars and from the hotels I visited on the riverfront this is the only one I would call a truly "boutique" hotel. The rooms I visited in this area ranged from creepy (Bougainvillier) to good but a bit tired (The Grand). The rooms are clean and interesting with nice large showers and separate tubs and beautiful woodwork. The Amanjaya has an excellent restaurant and bar with great breakfasts and dinners and an excellent , friendly staff! I loved Phnom Penh and I think this hotel played a big role in my experience.

Best Location in Phnom Penh”
I've been staying at this boutique hotel as a business traveller for the past 6 years so have been able to observe from a distance the levels of service this hotel has provided over that time. The fact I keep coming back here says it all really: fantastic riverside location, central, large comfortable rooms with balcony views and two bars - both with great cocktails! There are cheaper places to stay but I'm willing to splash out for these reasons. Staff have always been courteous without fail. Front desk have good English skills so provide back-up if staff elsewhere have trouble understanding you. The breakfasts are great and there is a good lunch and dinner selection. I admit however that Phnom Penh has a plethora of excellent reasonably priced international restaurants so when it comes to dining there is better value and flavour for money to be found elsewhere. This is a small hotel so often gets booked out during the high season so I've also been forced to Stay at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal on occasion. Comparing the two the Amanjaya wins hands down.

calm oasis”
The Amanjaya is a very well located hotel. Many major sites are within walking distance and lots of tuk-tuks available for more distant places. There are many good restaurants within a few minutes walk. The decor is very atmospheric - lots of timber and silk. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. Staff were very helpful for arrangements within Phnom Penh and arranging transport to Siem Reap. Breakfast was included and had a good range of very tasty options.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, good breakfasts”
My stay at the Amanjaya was so pleasant and relaxing, I didn't want to leave! The rooms were beautiful designed for rest and relaxation. The river view was lovely for watching the sights and sounds of Phnom Penh. The hotel was within walking distance of many of the major sights in the City including temples, the royal palace, the riverboat cruises, with a huge selection of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel with perfect location”
The Amanjaya Pancam Hotel is located right on the river near several top sights such as the palace, museum, etc. The rooms are all suites, so they're well-sized, plus they have balconies overlooking either the river or a bustling intersection with beautiful buildings and the river as its backdrop. The service was attentive while we were there, very good with our small children. The only real drawback was that they do not have a pool, which would have been nice given the hot weather. That said, it's a minor complaint and we were plased with all else there.

Nice hotel in great location”
The hotel is located across the street from the river on Sisowath Quay and close to many of the major sites to visit in Phnom Penh. The rooms are all large suites that are clean and nicely furnished. The bathrooms feature large concrete showers, spa tubs, plenty of mirrors. Each room has a spacious balcony that either overlooks the river or the busy merge of several streets below. The river side can get a bit loud around sunrise when sidewalk group aerobics sessions are conducted on the boardwalk, with lots of crazy loud Asian music blaring from a PA. It's quite an amusing site to observe, even at 5am. The staff are all very polite and professional. Overall, the Amanjaya is an ideal hotel to start or conclude your stay in Cambodia

Fantastic!”
This hotel is fantastic! It is within walking distance to the palace, museum, the market, restaurants, and wat phnom. While it is sometimes difficult to walk along the roads in Phnom Penh because of the traffic, the hotel is adjacent to the boardwalk along the river, which makes it easy to walk to your destination while also enjoying the fantastic view. My room was spacious, emaculately clean, and the balcony offered a great view and fantastic opportunities for people watching. While the reception' staff were incredibly helpful, the restaurant's staff were horribly incompetent. The restaurant's staff and the quality of the food at the hotel were the only negatives of my stay at this hotel--but that is easily avoided given the bevy of good restaurants within walking distance.

Amazing hotel in a prime location”
the amanjaya was one of if not the best hotel we stayed in on our honeymoon. the hotel is in a prime location on the river front two blocks from the palace. as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff who were fantastic throughout our stay. the rooms are huge and we had an amazing corner room looking over the river. the terrace rooftop bar is a great place to have a drink and watch the sun go down. we now want to go back to phom penh just so we can go to the amanjaya!

My favorite hotel in Phnom Penh”
The Amanjaya Hotel has large rooms with a Cambodian Colonial style. High ceilings and large doors opening onto a balcony. It gives one a feeling of pleasant openness. The location of the hotel is the best in Phnom Penh. They could update some of the furnishings but everything worked well and if they modernized it would loose some charm. The helpfulness of the staff is exceptional and has been consistent during my several stays there.

Great Stay at Amanjaya Pancam Hotel in Phnom Penh”
This hotel is unique in Phnom Penh. Although some of the funiture is a bit old, everything is clean and well taken care of. I like the design of our room (suite), very neat, very user friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. However, I think the hotel rate was too high for our stay: I paid HKD1963 for two nights in July simply because I booked the room too early (two months ahead). HKD1000 a night for a 4 star hotel in Cambodia at low season is too expensive, I believe.

An excellent hotel for location, service, comfort”
My stay at Amanjaya was great, the place is beyond my expectation, excellent food, good location and very comfortable room, with very cold air con. They serve good maloonga coffee and TWG tea. If you have a chance try their sirloin steak too. I highly recommend anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

Perfect location”
A friend and I recently stayed at the Amanjaya Pancam for business. Each of us reserved a junior suite. The rooms were huge featuring a private bath, sleeping area, desk and workspace, a lounge as well as a balcony. The balcony overlooks the waterfront of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers. The hotel is close to the Royal Palace, national museum and great dining.

A Good Stay”
We stayed at the Amanjaya for two nights before travelling to Kampot. The hotel is a favourite of mine in Phnom Peh due to its large rooms, location and views. There was a difference in maintenance standards from last year as the toilet in our room blocked continuously despite several attempts to repair it, the paintwork isn't as crisp and the wood panelling is fading. The Junior Suites are a welcome sight after a day of touring or shopping or simply as a haven for a rest. The restaurant is pleasant without being exciting but there are many alternate venues for dining if someone is seeking other cuisines. We look forward to the day when smoking is banned from the bar area as the smoke and odour affects the restaurant.

Good location and large room with balcony”
Amanjaya was a nice place to stay in Phnom Penh, situated midpoint on the riverside area and so lots of bars and eating places nearby. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful. The rooms themselves are big and particularly liked having a big balcony overlooking the temple and river. Breakfasts were included and good in size although not usually very hot! The bar on the roof was a good place to relax and watch the sun go down. We ate in K West, the restaurant, one night which was OK if a little soul less! Altogether, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again when next in Phnom Penh.
