Perfect Holiday!!!”
Next time i will go to Amantra again with hole my family, we got 1st a room beside the beach front and then we asked if we could change and it was no problem, we just get upgraded without pay more, thats good service. Also it was breakfast inc and it was juice,coffe, scrambled eggs, toast, salad, thai food. The resort is also located in the end off klong nin beach which is good, its quiet, and not so much people on the beach. In the evening we just walked on the beach without shoes, it was many resturants on the beachfronts close to Amantra resort, just a few minutes. We took a motorbike taxi one evening to saladan the city, its really cheap and there is many stores, but im glad that we choosed Amantra instead off Klong dao. Amantra is more Thailand for us, everything was perfect!!

Wonderful spot in Klong Nin”
I had a lovely stay at Amantra Resort & Spa, specifically in one of their beachfront villas. The villa was kept spotless all throughout my stay, and the girls at the reception were exceptionally nice and helpful, specially when I had a motorbike accident. The resort is quite a hearty good walk from the restaurants and convenience store, but scooters are easily rented out if you want to go around the island. The pool, the amazing sunsets, the nice staff, and comfy villas nestled at the secluded spot in Klong Nin Beach, truly made my stay in Koh Lanta unforgettable.

We stayed at Amantra resort a week. The Resort was very Amazing and peaceful, all the staff always try to help us.The room was clean, The food was good,People was helpful. Before we came here we have heart about Amantra resort in Koh lanta from our friend and also I has readed many reviewed from many places and totaly was OK for us but some still don't know the reason why?. But doesn't metter for us. We get to the Hotel from the frist day untill the last day it was nothing to comment for the Hotel 3.5 Star but they gave us a 4 star sevices and much more warmly hospitality.Thank you to I belive in myself not all what I have readed, Then I will nerver know this place. Amantra Resort”
The Amantra Resort is a lovely new resort at the southern end of Klong Nin beach, this is a great location, not at all crowded, with a nice beach that shelves quite qickly - ideal for good swimmers. It is only a short walk along the beach to a good choice of bars and restaurants. Again not really busy even though it was the week of New Year. The bungalows are quite large and are clean and well maintained.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amantra, it is very well situated on the lovely Klong Nin beach. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Food staff were outstanding. On our deep sea fishing expedition we caught some fish which the kitchen Chefs enthusiastically prepared for us, in traditional Thai fashion. Wow, it was an unforgettable meal prepared with flair to perfection! We would definitely go back to Amantra.

Stunning sunsets, peaceful location friendly staff”
We stayed at Amantra for 7 days after buying an Agoda 50% off flash deal (approx $110/night). We were fortunate to get a room in the range 114-117 which are located across from the pool and have no trees blocking the sea views. (This seems to be a common point raised among other reviews) Our room was comfortable however the bathroom was a slight let down and possibly not quite inline with the expectations set out by the photos of the interiors. The rooms were however very clean and functional and the reminder of the resort more than up for this minor shortcoming. We were welcomed by warm friendly and cheerful staff who did their very best to accommodate our needs in the restaurant, hiring a scooter, organising transfers and even assisting us with. Complementary taxi to visit a local nurse/pharmacy. The restaurant served delicious thai food which was very reasonably priced. The beach and pool were well maintained and we spent much of our time relaxing by the pool on deck chairs. Finally the beach offers a short walk to nearby neighboring resorts with other restaurants and beachside bars and beachside massages. All in all a lovely venue for the price we paid.

Amantra Hotel & Spa”
We enjoyed our stay at the Amantra Hotel and Spa, Ko Lanta Thailand. I cannot comment on the spa as we did not use any of those services. Our room was located in the back and was very nice, fresh, and spacious. The staff was VERY attentive and helpful led by the manager who's english was very good and Pla working behind the desk was always helpful. The included breakfast and restaurant was good. My sole complaint was that there was not enough shade provided on the beach. I think the hotel should invest in some good quality beach umbrellas or erect some sort of shade structure.

I'm was very happy to stay here.we stayed at amantra 6 nights and even last nights we stayed at the lovely pool half night.Me and my husband plant to come to koh lanta but don't know where to stay at the end, after discuss with my friend they told me to stay here.It was right, it's make our holiday unforgetable.OOpss.. before I'm went home I forgot my ring some where in the room, I was cry all the way back to home.Before I write this reviwe the GM. Mr.charif send me an E-mail about my ring he told me that the houskeeper found it and send it back to him, and I'm begin to cry again. Thank you Amantra and Mr.charif we will never gorget you.

Lovely room, great view, just few steps from beach”
I was traveling around with friend and we stood in Amantra for 3 nights. We get good deal ( discount price) for beach front view bungalow.Lovely view just few steps ( probably 5 :))and we were on the beach. Room was really good size plenty of storage,king size bed and comfortable bed.We hire scooter from hotel which was great and we could go around and eat in different restaurants / places.Staff was very helpful and friendly and did everything what we ask for as arrange airport transfer etc.Location was good and took us only 15-20 minutes with scooter to get in center of town.

The hotel staff were friendly and pleasant. The pool was quite small but being located right on the beach, it did not matter too much. I loved the location as it was at the quiet end of Klong Nin Beach, but still within walking distance of some great local beach restaurants. The hotel room was clean and functional. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Superb staff performance ”
My sisters and I travelled to Koh Lanta in low season. When we arrived at Amantra we were disappointed to find the hotel in the middle of some refurb work in preparation for high season. Both the restaurant and swimming pool were out of order and there was work going on everywhere. However, the fantastic staff completely made up for it. We arrived a day later than booked due to issues with transport. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the GM who expresses genuine concern about where we had been and we felt immediately at home. Since the restaurant was out of order we were given a menu to order whatever food we wanted and it was brought to our room, always delivered in great time. We had a personal taxi to take is wherever we wanted to go and the staff were polite, welcoming and ready to help with whatever we needed. Despite the limited facilities available we had a lovely stay at Amantra and would certainly stay again, though maybe when all the faculties are up and running again!

This place was a wonderful discovery! The beach is one of the cleanest I one in Thailand. Very quiet (no big boum boum all night long!) but not too isolated neither so there are activities to do around. The staff was very nice and helpful; and they do their best to cheer you! There are fun excursions to do around - like the one of Koh Rok. The restaurant offers a wide variety of meals and there is barbecue in the evening. The rooms need to be a bit upgraded - and it was done while I stayed there during Christmas. Many people were prolonging their stay while I was there... so good sign! I am looking forward to go back to Amantra Resort very soon!

Good quiet no frills spot on the beach”
amantra is located at the very southern point of klong nin beach just past the nicer sri lanta resort. the beach / ocean is rocky at low tide but fine for swimming when not low tide. the beach front villas are a bit worn down, the bathrooms are very basic. the rooms could use some renovating but the location of the beach front villas is really great. the overall feel was a bit like camp but nice for kids who walk out the front door to pool or beach access. renting car or motor bikes you can easily head south to other spots a d restaurants. the price is fairly reasonable for a villa of comparable size. there is no spa that we could find but the massages near the beach were good and cheaper than most neighboring resorts. many of the staff were very friendly with our kids though the front desk girls were always surprisingly unfriendly. food and restaurant and bar is very very basic, we ate next door at sri lanta a lot and other nearby restaurants. overall for the price and location of rooms we would go back. but upon checking in to the rooms we were a bit surprised that it had a big of a run down feeling. after a day or two we felt the pros outweighed the cons and we were traveling with a 5 and 2 year old. it's not dirty it's just no frills .. for kids and a camp feel it was just fine, but if you are looking for a sophisticated romantic couples stay though i'm not sure this would be the right place.

Nice hotel on nice beach!”
The Amantra Resort is a nice resort on the south end of Klong Nin Beach. We were upgraded from a Garden Superior Room to a Delux Room with partial sea view, although the sea view was minimal at best from a side window. The room was large but, typical of many hotels in Thailand, the lighting was inadequate in the bathroom. It is not easy shaving in dim light and with cold water. There was hot water in the shower, but not in the sink. The pool is large and clean. The breakfast consists of both western and asian food ... and very good. The Amantra picked us up at our previous hotel on Klong Dao, and provided us with a free shuttle to the ferry in Saladin when we left.

every thing was perfect in this hotel very new the staff is amazing very helpfull very organised the rooms are new the bed is comfy the staff helped us in organising all the tours in koh lanta with good prices the food and drinks were excellent good value for money the swimming pool is new and clean and open till late, even if the room is not sea view room still u can see the sea the massage place was amazing reallly nice place clean comfy and very friendly the beach is amazing quite relaxing place i really recommended for everyone looking for a great time

Nice and refreshing trip even in low monsoon seaso”
I travelled with younger brother and old parents. Be sure to take the beachfront villas, view from the room and the adjoining balcony is picturesque. If you are looking for a lavish retreat this is the place. Even in monsoon season (which is a low season in Koh Lanta) I enjoyed sitting in my room and occassionally the clean beachfront, good food and natural decor of the resort. Staff is very friendly. Things that could have been better - Spa was closed (may be because we came in a low season) and since it's not at the city centre it was hard to get reliable transportation (again may be because it was a rainy season, there were not much tuk-tuks on road). But overall, amazing place.

Having read reviews I was expecting the worst. Those disappointed guests clearly paid the walk-in fee. it was OK value. But here's the thing - the staff are barely pubescent and have little interest in hospitality. Forget the "Land of Smiles" idea of Thailand. Amantra, like most hotels and restaurants in the Krabi area, is run by the blank-faced and world-weary. There is therefore a lack of soul in the place. But the rooms are fine - pretty big and the aircon works well. The pool is clean but the loungers are uncomfortable. We were there in a heat wave, 38C every day, and there were just two umbrellas between all of us. There are some trees you can drag your chair underneath, but I never felt really at home. Having said all that, the location is right on the beach with a rock-free stretch of sea for swimming. It's a short walk to some great bars. We spent a lot of time lying under the stars at the P Dang bar, with Happy Hour cocktails costing 100 Baht (2 pounds) We tried a couple of other hotels in Klong Ning, and the service wasn't much better so don't be too put off! We visited Long Beach which has the most development and it's awful. You could do worse than to stay at Amantra on Klong Ning beach if you're visiting Ko Lanta. Just one more thing. Look closely at the bread before eating it at breakfast time. The serving tray contained ants on every day of our stay! When I pointed them out to a "waiter" (he was about 12) he said "Oh!" and squashed them all with his finger, leaving their flat bodies among the bread!!

Lovely resort right on the beach”
We were a group of 11 friends, aged 20-30, with a mix of couples and singles. We hired out 5 beach front villas between us. The concierge was really helpful. We got there and were able to plan all our activities through them and most were actually cheaper that way than going direct. The bar staff were really friendly and played giant jenga with us till very late. They also bought sky lanters for us and helped us light them up even though they got in trouble with the hotel manager for it. Compared to the other resorts, this one is very reasonably priced and therefore keeps all the charms of being laidback and friendly. The dive shop being on-site was a huge help, as we all were able to learn to dive from the comfort of our own resort. We could just rock up whenever we wanted and then jump in the pool to get trained. Please note that some of the villas may be two rooms joint with a door. These rooms are extremely porous and you can hear your neighbour's every sound. If you are not travelling in a group, ask to be put in a room that does not have a door to an adjacent room.

Very good”
Amantra is slightly south of Khlong Nin. A bit of a sweaty walk to Khlong Nin if it is a hot day. I was there during low season (August) due to the lure of an especially low price, and I was even upgraded to a better room! Thanks! I assume I was upgraded because there were only a few other people there. I traveled solo, and it seems that Amantra is not really designed for socializing - at least during low season! It's probably a couple's place. Just a few staff when I was there who were quite nice (but they always are ...). Big pool to splash around in if you don't want to swim in the ocean (which is just a few meters away from your room).

Great staff”
We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. We were very happy with our stay. The staff was great. I don't not recall his name, but I assume he was the manager of the reception desk. He was extremely helpful. My wife had left her phone in the reception area while waiting for our taxi to a muay thai match. Luckily our wedding photo was her background on the phone and he recognized us. Upon arriving at the arena the man checking tickets handed us a phone and it was the gentleman from the front desk letting us know her phone was safe and not to worry and enjoy our night. We stayed in several hotels during this trip and while we did not have a bad experience at any of them the staff at Amantra was by far the most helpful staff we encountered.
