Fantastic services at Amara”
My stay at Amara hotel was really pleasant. I booked the clubhouse room with wifi and breakfast. I enjoyed my stay with Amara. Their service standards were really there, and the value for money that i purchased from Agoda was really worth it. There were guests constantly greeting me and asking for any assistance whenever there was eye contact. I liked the fact that they had a pillow menu in the room, where we are able to call in for the different types of pillows that they have. This is a fantastic form of value added service as not many hotels actually have this service. There was an ice machine outside my room which makes it convenient for me to get my drinks cold. The food was really good, offering healthy and delicious food. For the room i stayed in, i need not go to the restaurant to have my breakfast. It was a privilege for me to have it on the 19th floor, where my room was. The view was breathtaking as i sat by the window at the 19th floor, having my breakfast. The staff were really friendly, asking me if i needed any help, and constantly checking if the food was fine. The fact that every card allows access to only the designated floor that you stay in, ensures security in the hotel which i felt was really important and they had that. The room was nice and cosy, they had a desk area for me to do my work and in terms of cleanliness, i would say that they have reached that level. Overall i enjoyed my stay in Amara hotel. The only issue i had was the location of the place. It is situated near tanjong pagar mrt however the hotel was not very visible from the MRT itself. However there were signboards to help lead the way. Well done Amara Singapore.
3 Day Stop Over”
On our way back from a quit long trip away decided that taking a stop over in Singapore would be a good idea. We are so pleased that we did, our stay at the Amara was wonderful. Being located close to China Town there are many local places to eat if you wish to enjoy food from there. If you intend to eat in the hotel you will find the food and service excellent, although a little expensive (no more than any other hotel in Singapore though). On arrival we were a little early for check in but that was no problem for the staff, we were asked if we minded waiting while the concierge went up to check if the room was ready. This was no problem as we were able to enjoy a well made pot of tea from the wonderful selection on offer from the in-house tea shop. With in what was only a few minuets the staff came and informed us that the room was ready and that our bags were in there already. The room we were in was on the 15th floor and was all we could ask for. The bed was comfortable, the room large and plenty of room in the bathroom area to move around in with a shower that was hot and strong. Every day the room was cleaned the bed made and clean fresh towels put in the bathroom. After taking a short walk around the area we decided to return to the hotel and take a welcome relaxing swim before dinner and heading to the bar. Once again as all-over Singapore drinks were a little more expensive than we are used to in Australia but there was a good range and a long happy hour. The next evening after only being in the bar once it was nice to be greeted with a smile and hello again from the bar staff. I am happy to say how they were professional enough to remember what we had been drinking and how we liked our drinks. The bar has live music most evenings and is a great place to wind down or have a drink after dinner prior to retiring. The staff in the hotel could not have been more helpful or informative, nothing was to much to ask. Every time we were leaving or arriving the doo
Feel at home in Singapore ”
Amara is my home in SG . Have stayed here since 2001 and will keep staying here . The locations is one of the best in Singapore , some of the city's best restaurants are inside the hotel , staff is superb and co-operative , great gym , wellness centre and pool , awesome shopping complex attached to the Amara ( which also has great restaurants , department store etc etc ) - this hotel is a real slice of the Singapore pie . Also Tanjong Pagar MRT station located at a 3/4 mins walk ! The area around the hotel is also full of offices , restaurants , pubs , food hawker centers , old converted shop houses ( these are visually stunning !) . The hotel itself is quite self contained - and for the rate I paid was worth far more than any hotel I've ever stayed in , in my 24 years of travel . Ideal for business folks as well as tourists
Friendly, helpful staff ”
We enjoyed our short stay at the Amara Singapore and will happily return for a longer stay during future visits to Singapore. Our room was spacious and the bathroom large enough for two people to move around and included both bath and shower. The vanity unit was large enough to spread out our toiletries. We arrived at 8 am after a 13 hour plane trip and were given our room immediately instead of having to wait til normal check in time. We asked the concierge if he could book the airport shuttle at 2 am to save us having to wake up to book it ourselves. This was no trouble at all. We dined in the Thai restaurant within the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and the excellent service. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Enjoyable moment at lovely hotel”
this is my 1st visit to singapore for the pass 20 years. selected amara hotel due to the location and found out the the service provided is really wonderful. the room is fantastic and my son and wife definately enjoy their stay specially when comes to the night view. one thing that i would like to advise is that amara should improve on the wifi / internet connection as this is one way for tourist like us to get more information about singapore. thanks to amara as my family enjoy the stay and vacation here.
I can never forget the relaxing smell of the hotel”
amara hotel is so far, the best hotel i have stayed in in singapore. the rooms as squeaky clean and comfortable. the staff, from the concierge, to the housekeeping staff are all very helpful and friendly. what is so unforgettable is the smell of the hotel. just going down from the taxi, one can already smell the relaxing aroma of its carpet, its rooms and its beds that i feel so much like running up my room to my waiting comfortable bed. i love you, amara singapore!
Exceptional”
I don't usually post reviews but the Amara deserves this one! Unintentionally booked this hotel in error (confused it with a different hotel) but was pleasantly surprised & happy that we did! It was great & better than expected! In a great location that appeared to be the business district, lots of cafes, bars in the surrounding hotels, convenience stores & super close to the MRT station. Also super close to Koreatown in the Chinatown district. We requested a high floor room & baby cot & were given a room on the 15th floor with an amazing view from the corridor of the hotel pool. From our room, we also overlooked a neighbouring rooftop hotel pool & tennis court - no bad views of boring windows of another hotel or carpark! The room didn't have a baby cot but within minutes of phoning reception, housekeeping staff delivered a real cot - a proper wooden one & not a typical plastic port-a-cot! Cannot fault the Amara & would definitely stay again.

Clean and spacious rooms”
I booked a Twin Room at Amara over the Christmas Eve weekend with my best friend to spend the Christmas Eve evening. I was, first of all, very pleased that Amara had a good promotion deal - I managed to have the room which was a really good price considering it was the festive weekend. Next, upon checking in, I was not disappointed by the room as it was spacious and clean. The toilet, especially, was squeaky clean with the bathtub and shower separate from each other. The sheets were also smooth and clean, and the beds very comfortable. Despite the overall pleasant stay, we thought the hotel management can look into having some of the power points higher up, rather than just centimetres from the floor. This meant that my handphone had to be on the floor when I was charging it, as the cable of my charger was not long enough to reach the table above the power point. I would certainly consider coming back to Amara for a weekend staycation.
Staffs warmth greeting makes guests feel more welcome & by showing their cares & concern”
Thumbs up for Amara Singapore (Tanjong Pagar) Room Rsvn, Front Office, Housekeeping - their attention and ways to approach guests need were above our expectations. Especially the Doorman, we received his warmth welcome and were given the mineral water bottles while queuing at the check-in queue line. For the room inself, except the cornering walls filled up with slight molds, other than that, the Housekeeping team has done a great job. At least no spider webs at the 2 light's stands. The hairdryer is easy to handle than other brands. Looking forward to try the Amara Resort one day.

The staff were so helpful, all provided top service”
We were made most welcome. We had flown into Singapore from Paris, during the weekend of the Singapore F1, arriving into Amara at 8.30am and a room was made available thus enabling us to rest sooner. The staff on the front desk remembered us and recalled details we had discussed with them during our previous visit 3 weeks earlier. During our earlier stay we left behind 2 shirts we asked if they had been found and they were returned to our room within 10 minutes of our enquiry. Our stay in Singapore we enhanced by our stay at Amara.
Great location with decent size room”
this is my first time to stay with amara hotel singapore and it will not be the last time. they offer decent size room and the hotel located just steps away from mrt. the hotel owns couple of restaurants and the food is in top tier. i tried the cafe oriental which service local food and thanying which service thaifood and both of them are very good. i tried four hotels for this trip in singapore and three of them are four stars hotel. among three of them, amara is the best.
Great central location, good restaurants ”
I stayed at Amara several times and it is one of the most convenient hotels for business travellers in Singapore in spite of price/ value, location and good cuisine. They have very nice chinese restaurant on the second floor for diner as well as Korean restaurant, where can carry out business lunch and diners. Around are as well many smaller restaurants. It is walking distance to main office district in Singapore at 3 min by walk to Tanjong Pagar station. Accross the hotel is small shop running very late into evening, possibly 24 hrs.
High Quality”
I visited Singapore in May 2018 and stayed at Amara Singapore where the friend I was meeting had already booked. After spending 4 nights there I can state with confidence that it is a high quality hotel, has a very good location, very good facilities and terrific staff with superior customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. In particular, The Club Lounge was a fantastic refuge where the manager and staff always went the extra mile. This place is highly recommended.
Dear Guest, Greetings from Amara Singapore! Thank you for your kind review on your recent stay with us. We are delighted to note that you have enjoyed your stay with us. Once again, thank you for choosing us as your preferred accommodation in Singapore and we look forward to welcoming you back as always. Warmest regards, Team at Amara Singapore
Rekindling ”
My wife and I visited Singapore to spend time for ourselves. We decided to stay at the Amara and booked a Club Room. Amara is situated near Chinatown and is very accessible by the MRT and by bus. Nearby are your choices of restaurants and if you're willing to walk, the hawkers center in Maxwell. The hotel is old and is going through a renovation. Nonetheless, the room is spacious and clean. The service is excellent and the food is okay should you go for room service. Breakfast at the Elements is very good and filling. Overall, our stay was made memorable with our stay at the Amara.
Dear Valued Guest, thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are pleased to note that you had a pleasant stay at Amara Singapore and enjoyed the convenience of our location, service rendered and food provided. We look forward to welcoming you back again! Warm regards, Amara Singapore
Amara Hotel Singapore - Honeymoon Stay”
We stayed at Amara Singapore as part of our honeymoon. The location was excellent- right by Chinatown- great for sightseeing and also food and drink outlets and night markets. The hotel was right by an MRT station which made getting around so easy. We had breakfast one morning which was excellent- great range of food and the staff, as throughout the hotel, were very polite and helpful. I would say the hotel was very business orientated however, so wouldn't exactly reccommend for a romantic honeymoon. The pool is nice but is surrounded by tall buildings which blocks out the sun most parts of the day.
Am a regular and will stay one”
At a time when singapore hotels are going crazy about the price they charge Amara is more than often a very good option. The hotel is located on Tanjong Pagar Road, close enough to an subway (MRT station - 2 min walk). The rooms are spacious, well maintained and have a large bathroom with both tub and italian shower. Bedding is comfortable, staff will change sheets every day if requested, and amenities are satisfactory. Many eating options, both inside and outside, with a particular mention to the food court in Tanjong Pagar plaza opposite the hotel. Pool and gym are nice
Feeling at Home”
Well positioned in the business area of Singapore, the hotel has five restaurants featuring different culinary styles from the region and an international restaurant. We enjoyed beautifully prepared and presented meals in four of them. Our club room was always beautifully clean and well presented on our return in the afternoon. It was comfortable and had better lighting for reading than many modern hotels. The staff were wonderfully helpful at all times, even accommodating my unusual breakfast requests. They were helpful and efficient with assisting us to find tours to areas of interest and about the city. I can't think of any negative aspects of this hotel.Perhaps people who want to spend their days in Orchard Road shopping may not want to spend the very modest taxi fare to travel there as it is too far to walk in the heat. However it is close to China Town and all the Shop Houses all of which offer wonderful shopping of a more eclectic and interesting nature than the generic stores in Orchard Road. This was our second stay at the Amara hotel and we plan to return for a few days at the end of the year when visiting family further afield.
Clean, practical business traveler hotel ”
amara is a well priced business hotel, close to the busy cbd and chinatown areas. it has well proportioined rooms that are kept clean and well maintained. there are many good quality restaurants within the complex which also adjoins a shopping mall offering other cafes, a chemist, plus fashion and shoe shopping. overall an ideal, affordable choice in singapore and always a favourite of mine asia wide. be sure to check agoda prices for the best deals.
Well-located Hotel with Larger than Average Room”
We had a great stay at Amara Singapore - the hotel is located in Tanjong Pagar which is near the city's financial district, but also near Chinatown, Duxton Hill, the Maxwell Hawker Food Centre and Tiong Bahru as well as Orchard Road. You cannot beat the location - lots of good food and interesting sites in this area. Also convenient for supermarket, local shops. The hotel itself is fine - with larger than average rooms and an excellent swimming pool.
Amara Singapore, Singapore, Singapore ”
Amara hotel is centrally located with the cbd, close to the train station and just walking distance to our office. aside from it's good location the room rates is not high specially since i booked the room a few days only before i come to singapore.. thanks to agoda.. as always. they are giving better rates!
