The staff there really helpful and make you feel welcome! Highly recommend to choose villa with private pool if you stay in the hotel more times than outside. I stay in the standard deluxe room and the space is very limited and the noise came from the bathroom once you turn on the switch can be really annoying, but it is fine for me as most of the time I’m out, just back there to sleep. Abit inconvenient to go to Ubud central, about 40 min by walking in busy street which freak me out with the motorbike speed 😅😅 Overall, I will recommend this resort for the good service , good massage , good breakfast!

Amazing interior by the owners. layout of the private pool villa was nice too whereby part of the bathroom is an open space linked to the pool. it is clean and new too. downside is that it is not very sound proof. Breakfast was also tastes very average. Menu is limited and u will need to secure the breakfast time you want early because it seems there is very few chefs. I wanted a 7am-730am slot because I was going for a morning tour however the hotel declined my request because it was already booked for 7am to 9am. To me this was a bit ridiculous because how much time would it be to prepare another 2 sets of breakfast? So we had to have breakfast at 11am after the tour.

We have spent 4 days at Amarea. After all, our stay was ok, but we have stayed in different hotels in Bali noted 4 or 3 stars and they were much better than 5 star Amarea, so we were a bit dissapointed. It’s a pretty new hotel (opened in 2021), but what was supposed to be a pro was really a con because everyday we had an impression that they have a lot to improve. Also we were quite surprised that the hotel doesnt have a restaurant. Im pretty sure it wasnt mentioned in the offer (rather you expect a 5 star hotel to have a restaurant). So we were pretty shocked when the recepcionist asked us to choose a breakfast for the next day (everyday you have to choose your breakfast day before) and told us they will bring it to our room or we can eat it in the „public kitchen”. What was also strange is that you have to settle time for your breakfast - and if you say it would be comfortable for you to have it at 8:00 you hear „sorry, this hour is unavailable because other guests booked it, i can offer you 7:00 or 10:00”. Pretty inconvinient when you already have plan for the day. Also, there’s not enough room in the cottage to eat it.. Then after all, when you pick your time, they never bring it on time actually. The breakfast menu consists of 8 positions but each of them (for me) is lacking vegetables. The breakfast was really weird experience for us ;) But after all: Pros (+) 1. Beautiful greenery around the cottages. 2. Technology. It’s nice that you have Netflix and Alexa in your room. You just say „Alexa, please play xyz” and she plays your favourite song (of course if the internet connection is stable at the time, usually it is not). 3. Very nice and quick laundry service 4. Bathtube is actually under the sky, which was very nice 5. Modern design of the hotel, nice lobby Cons (-) 1. Breakfast issues 2. The cottage was super small, not much space, but what bothered us the most in the room was very poor lightening. It was really dark even at daytime. So having breakfast

Lack of staff”
Brand new villa, you can even smell the fresh paint in the one bedroom villa that we stayed in. The small resort is very nicely designed but I found that they don’t have enough staff to facilitate the entire resort. Breakfast was amazing but you have to preorder it a night before and it gets to deliver to your room but it’s always late. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A nice experience but we will try somewhere else next time.

Me and my husband went here for our honeymoon and we were completely blown away by this place. The resort was gorgeous every inch of it was so beautiful, both the design and scenery. The location is near to bebek tepi sawah which is a halal restaurant and was so delicious as well. The staff’s hospitality was great, they were super nice and helpful. I would really recommend to those who wants to discover Ubud to stay here 💗

I stated in two types of rooms and they both beautifully decorated. Smells so lovely like you’re in a spa very relaxing. The staffs were very attentive and friendly. You can definitely enjoy the serenity with nature around the place. Unfortunately couldn’t join the activity they’ve planned like yoga, but to me it’s definitely a plus point to provide such activities to the customers. Really recommend to stay here as it’s also not too far from the Ubud center.

Was upgraded at checked in and again on the 5th day. Appreciated the 1st upgrade but it is a hassle to move room again after a couple of days. They could have upgraded the guest who checked in on day 5 instead.
