Excellent rooms but not so ideal location”
We arrived at Pattaya after having to divert our trip from BKK due to the riots. Our group (two couples) didn't quite know what to expect as we didn't have much time to research about Pattaya, nor about the hotel properly. The taxi driver from BKK had to stop a couple of times to ask for directions to Amari Nova Suites, which is expected since he wasn't a local driver of Pattaya. When we reached the hotel, we found out why he had such difficulty finding it! It was embedded quite deeply into small slip roads, in what seemed like a residential area. the lobby resembled a boutique hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded up from two studios, into two one-bedroom suites. This equates to almost twice the size of the room available, with kitchen amenities and a living room! The room was excellent in everyway, though on of the two suites (mine!) had a smell of stale food that couldn't quite go away. I guess this happened when the previous guest fried something in the kitchen with the a/c on. The rooftop pool was very chic as well with nice clean, modern cabanas and pods to rest in. The pool is never crowded and quite private. The gym was also quite sufficient and new, and hardly utilised! My only complaint is the location of the hotel, even though the hotel very kindly ferried us to the main road with their ever dependable golf buggy every single time we wanted to leave the hotel. But this means having to pay more for transport back into the hotel. Twice, the tuk tuks we took also brought us to the wrong Amari at North Pattaya instead, so be careful of that! For the price, I would say that this hotel was very worth the stay though.
Wonderful hotel for the adventurous traveller”
I definitely recommend this hotel, and will stay there again. Although you will read negative review about it being off the beaten track, I found this to be a good thing. Yes, you will need to use their free golf-cart service to get to the main roads (I never waited for their cart more than a few minutes, in the lobby), or you can always grab a 40 baht motorbike ride (or a bus) outside the hotel, to take you where you need. The hotel staff are helpful and eager to have your stay work for you, in my experience over my 8-day stay. Speak your English slowly, and use simple and clear sentences, please. The cleaning staff were always accommodating to my requests for an early room cleaning (so I could have my business meetings), and I rewarded them with a tip at the end of my stay. Tips are not required, but are always appreciated. The bedroom corner room I booked was essentially a 2-room serviced apartment, with everything you would need to live at home. All the appliances were new and worked. Yes, you can pay someone to wash your clothes for you, but they will be returned smelling like cheap soap. Not good. Better to bring your own washing machine powder in a small bag and wash your own things. The auto washing machine also dried my clothes, by the way. I did not try their room service for food, and only ate in their restaurant at the end of my stay, so I cannot comment on the quality. I mostly ate at the Irish pub (with wi-fi) only a few hundred meters away from the Amari Nova Suites. You can get your basic needs met in the area that the Amari Nova Suites sit: 7/11, massage & spa services, laundry, taxi transport, and food at the aforementioned Pub. Which has awesome fish and chips, and a fabulous full English Breakfast, by the way. Yes, the Amari Nova Suites is off the beaten path, but unless you want everything to be easy (in which case pay extra, and stay in a big hotel right on Beach Road) you may find yourself appreciating the value of this boutique hotel.
My fourth time at the Amari Nova Suites”
This was my fourth weekly stay at the Amari Nova Suites, and I will be returning there again soon. The rooms are well-maintained, and spacious, and clean. Basically, this is a serviced apartment with all you need. Comfortable beds, a nice kitchen (essential for me, as I am on a special eating plan) and washing machine. The only thing you really need to bring along is a portable drying line, to hang out your clothes to dry. Probably if I really tried I could get the washing machine to dry my clothes also, but it never seems to work out well and is much easier just to hang stuff up outside on the balcony. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for single and for couples. Families with children should probably find a different kind of hotel, though. The Amari Nova is off the beaten track, in a quiet part of town. Even so, I always could find a taxi motorbike to get me out and about. My previous comments to the manager about Internet speed have been taken seriously. I am noting a much better internet service than before, due no doubt to upgrades the hotel has made. While I was there a router went down for a few hours, but the IT support quickly dealt with it. And, when all is said and done, this is Thailand, and not Japan. Improvements have been made, but expect the unexpected internet service interruption, if internet access is vital to you (as it is to me, as a business travel). I definitely want to complement the Amari manager on all the efforts made to improve the one weak link in this terrific boutique hotel: the internet. As always I did most of my eating at the Pub around the corner, indulging myself in English fish and chips and other comfort food from my past. So I can't comment on the Amari food. But I suspect it would be just fine if you didn't want to leave your hotel room and order room service. The front desk staff at this hotel are excellent, as are the cleaning staff and others. Again, kudos go to the management for a well-run hotel in Pattaya.
Beautiful resort-style hotel in Pattaya”
High praise for this impeccably clean and bright full-service hotel off the main roads in Pattaya. Amari Nova Suites is both hip and comfortable. To provide a western comparison, it has a very Miami Beach feel and is welcoming to western travelers. For better or worse, Pattaya can be a bit on the seedy side, but the hotel does not compromise to its surroundings. The large true suite rooms are modern and immaculate. At the same time they have a functional kitchen with convenient washer/dryer -- a godsend coming from the beach. They compare to not a studio, but a modern 1-bedroom apartment. Friendly, helpful staff. The only negative against a stack of positives is that the trendy nightclub -5 can be heard clearly when its hotel-side door is opened to patrons. This can go on until quite late. An easy solution would be to only admit patrons via the street-side door after midnight--just a tip if management is reading.
My favorite Pattaya hotel”
Don't be put off by the out-of-the-way location of this hotel. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, the staff is wonderful, and it is quiet and restful even though nestled in the heart of Pattaya. Although I had problems with the internet speed during my stay (slowdowns, the router in need of a reboot upon occasion) I found it adequate for my business needs. I sent a private email to the manager of the hotel and she assured me that the internet speed and efficiency was at the top of their list to improve in the near future. Once that is in place, it is hard to beat the Amari Nova Suites for a long stay vacation or business trip in Pattaya. However, families with children may find the location a challenge. I do want to complement the management on their great work with customers and daily challenges. And once the internet gains more speed this hotel will be perfect for most people.
Welcoming luxury and comfort for rejuvenation.”
This is the second time I have arrived at Amari Nova Suites wet and exhausted from the beach (where unfortunately a bag containing clean clothing was lost). Despite my disheveled appearance, I was welcomed and registered with friendly efficiency. Nova proved once again to be the perfect recipe of comfort and luxury to rest and recover from a trying week. It's sleek modern appearance does not come at the expense of comfort. I stayed in a suite room which contains two large rooms: a large bedroom (akin to a master suite with bath and dressing area) and an equally large living room w/ galley-style kitchen. The Agoda photos of the suite room are accurate. Many find the location a drawback. This is not the hotel if the desire is for a short stumble from the beach or Walking Street, but I have found that relative calm and quiet is a desirable trade-off to be slightly off main road yet convenient to all shopping, beach and night spots with a brief taxi or scooter ride. There is a 7-11 and Family Mart very close and the hotel operates a golfcart shuttle to shopping on a regular basis. Very satisfied on both occasions.
Service with a smile, great room”
i have stayed in many hotels in pattaya in the past, the amari nova suites i have to say that this was one of the best for the price range. i stayed for one night in a studio room which was very modern and spacious with all the amenities you require in your room, nice balcony and roof top pool. i will be returning to pattaya in june, i liked this hotel so much i have booked a one bed roomed suit for two weeks and i am looking forward to meeting all the very nice staff again.
Tha Amari Nova suites are a complex of nicely neutrally decorated apartments located between 2nd and 3rd road in central pattaya, they are spacious and well specced for the short or long term stayer, the facilities are good, incorporating an ok gym and a decent sized pool, i found the staff to be helpful and attentive, the standard of food from the restaurant is also of a good standard, all in all everything you need from your stay in pattyaya... having said that, the distance from walking street and the beach may be an issue for some, however this is the price you pay for such surroundings and amenities, i have found this to be very much the case with staying anywhere in pattya, having stayed at a lot of the major hotels and smaller ones closer to the nightlife, even having apertments on the outskirts, but after 13 visits now, this is currently my preferred option, hope this helps
Amari Nova, Swwwwwwwwweeet!!!”
I love amari nova suites, this is my 2nd time staying there. and i must say everything is amazing. sometimes the taxi driver don't know where the hotel is....but, never mind that. this hotel is awesome. room service is good. clean bedding, internet is good, and just love the pool on the roof, its a great view. the only complaint is that the dryer don't dry the clothes all the way , and you have to hang clothes outside for the rest of the time. but the staff is friendly, they speak English good. and they just take care of you. i was so wasted , i had to change rooms and they made sure i didn't leave anything when it was time to change rooms. they looked out....so needless to say, i will be staying at Amari Nova Suites every time i come to Pattaya
Always reliable. A great value for money choice”
This is a great hotel which I highly recommend. Great staff, spacious, clean and stylish rooms and a nice quiet location. Not to mention good Wi-Fi, a pool and a Vodka Ice Bar. It's a little hard to find especially for the BKK taxi drivers so print a map or you may end up on the Beach Road in the one-way system and lose an hour of your life as they assume you are going to the Amari Orchid down there. Here's the bulls-eye: Get them to hang a left as they come off the motor/freeway and then a right onto Pattaya Klang (Central Road). From there it's about 2 KM until you need to take a right at Pattaya Klang 12. Once you're there take advantage of the hotel golf buggy - they will ferry you to 2nd Road or pickup a Baht Bus around to the beach or Walking Street. If you like to walk a bit on the other hand the hotel location is fine. If you are heading towards the Walking Street end of town you can also pickup a Baht Bus at the corner of Soi Bau Khao (Pattaya Klang 13) which is about 10 mins walk away. That way you cut out the busy Beach Road.
The Amari Nova Suites Pattaya is a great hotel if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle that is Pattaya. They provide a hotel shuttle that basically takes you to the main road and from there you must hop on public transportation which for me was not a problem. It's just getting back to the hotel that could be a problem if you're not familiar with Pattaya. All in all it was a good stay and I would definitely stay at the Amari Nova Suites again.
Great hotel and excellent location”
I always stay at Amari Nova when I visit Pattaya, and this was my 3rd time. I was upgraded to a corner suite although I booked a normal one bedroom suite - the staff however did warn me that it was on the 2nd floor, on top of the ice bar and it could be noisy. I actually never even noticed as I was out and about till ealry morning hours so never heard a thing. The staff are always helpful and security conscious and always greet you with a friendly smile.
Love this hotel”
2nd stay at Amari Nova Suites Pattaya. Although 3 years apart standards have been maintained. Not near all the nightlife so nice and quite, but only a 10 minute bike taxi ride to anywhere for about 60 baht so really not a problem. I will stay at this hotel again for sure
Excellent well run and friendly Amari hotel”
very nice room(s) - suite this time but studio is of equal quality, just smaller this hotel is to the amari standard - stylish and well maintained. in my opinion, it's worth the modest premium on some other hotels in pattaya. it's on a non-obvious backstreet close to the beach so make sure you come armed with a map for your taxi driver - you could end up at another amari hotel in pattaya. suite was fantastic. only booked that as studio not available. they are the same quality-wise.
Very nice hotel, great value”
I had a very relaxing & enjoyable stay at Amari Nova Suites Everything was great, would stay here again. Only negatives Location - bit of a walk from main road unless you take a taxi WiFi - too slow Bed - a bit too firm, but got used to it after the first 2 nights. Positives Room - spacious, modern, immaculately clean Pool - roof top pool, Jacuzzi, water is so warm, pool closes 10pm :) Breakfast - very nice buffet breakfast Staff - very friendly & helpful staff Value - Very luxurious hotel for the price
Amari Nova August 2008”
I stayed in a beautifull studio room, which is sufficent in size for one person, or a couple who does not need much space. The hotel is very modern and I liked the design and furniture of the rooms. All Reception staff, and the door men are very friendly and helpfull. Only one negative point is the location, as most of the taxis will struggle to bring you to the loacation, as the hotel is new, and there are many Amari or Nova properties in Pattaya. Despite the excellent little direction card which the hotel provides, I wass driven on several occasion to the wrong property, which is not the hotels fault. Overall, I ahve no problem to recommend this hotel
As ever, a fantastic hotel”
Stayed in suite but studio is of equal quality, just smaller. This hotel is to the Amari standard - fantastic staff, stylish and well maintained. In my opinion, it's worth the modest premium on some other hotels in Pattaya. It's on a non-obvious backstreet on the right off Pattaya Klang on the way down to the beach - Pattaya Klang 12. So make sure you come armed with a map for your taxi driver or could end up at another Amari hotel in Pattaya.
Nice and clean hotel with great friendly staff!”
Needs to beware that there's two hotel named by Amari in Pattaya. as the cab driver had send us to another amari, which is the popular and more establish hotel. this amari nova that i stayed is smaller and location isn't so convenient, far away from the beach, which is kinda sad, but it's alright as we had rent a motor bike from the hotel itself which makes out transport much more convenient. overall the hotel itself was great, great service, modern room!and there's balcony too! Overall still a thumbs up for it!
The Amari Nova Suites is an absolutely gorgeous hotel to spend your holiday in. I had the 1 bedroom suite for 7 nights, and it was the business. 2 plasma tvs' dvd player, leather sofa with foot rest, walk in shower, cleaners on time every day, complimentary water every day, just some of the peaks. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you. The ice bar is a nice novelty touch, especially for me coming from Scotland. Location wise you are a 20bht motorbike taxi away from Walking Street, Big C etc. Thumbs up from me!
Very Nice Hotel”
I was very happy with my stay at Amari Nova. I found the desk staff to be very friendly and helpful during the entire stay. I was always greeted when I entered and left the hotel. The room was quite nice and very spacious. In terms of location, it is a bit off the main roads but this is nice in my opinion as it is sort of an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya. I plan to stay here again on my next trip.
