Definetly worth it”
Stayed at the Amari Patong for 5 nights after reading reviews. I was abit skeptical at first but this hotel really does live up to the reviews. The staff really do go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. My wife and I had booked the Superior Oceanview room and we were upgraded to the ocean view suite upon checking in, I was abit jet lagged from the flight so I thought we had been given the wrong room upon seeing the kitchenette in our room, but were assured by reception that is was a free upgrade, thank you very much to the lady that checked us in. From the bellboys, buggy drivers and security to the reception, restaurant and tour desk staff they all were were very helpful and tried to accommodate and in some cases preempt any requests we may have. The resort is designed like a village in the hills and they do have a buggy service to get to your room as the climb can be quite steep on foot. The buggies run routinely and we never had to wait more than 5 mins for one.The suites were beautifully designed, spacious and in very good condition with brand name appliances, the bed and pillows were the best ive ever slept in and the views were amazing. Breakfast was the highest quality and largest variety I've ever had in a hotel, including in Australia, with views over looking Patong Beach. Speaking of Patong if the location isnt for you then they do have a free shuttle service 3 times a day to KATA beach, where the atmosphere is abit more relaxed. All in all this Hotel deserves its ranking and in my opinion should be #1. If you really wanted you dont have to even leave the resort to have a good time in Phuket, its that good.
Outstanding Hotel In Patong / Phuket ”
We chose Amari Phuket for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and it was an absolute pleasure. We booked the deluxe sea view room and when we reached hotel they welcomed us extremely warmly, provided us with ring of fresh flowers for wrists, wet towels and drinks. Furthermore, they gave a wonderful surprise by upgrading our room to one bed room suite with access to club house and all the benefits associated to it including infinity pool access. That was a wow factor for us. When we reached our room their awaits another pleasing surprise in the shape of an anniversary cake - that was too much for us to become an Amari Phuket. We were highly satisfied with the overall value we paid for and throughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. We would love to come back soon and stay for a longer period next time and will recommend to each and everyone in our social circle and whoever is reading this review. Just a little concern; restaurant staff and buggy drivers can be a bit more friendlier.
Exceeded all our expectations ☺”
This was our second visit to Amari Phuket. We were surprised with a room upgrade with club house access. The GM personally greeted us with flower garlands and a teddy for my kid. In the room they had gourmet chocolate, macaroons, and a fruit basket waiting for us. The beautiful location is the main attraction of Amari Phuket coupled with excellent service. The walk to the jetty was quite a nice hike. We could see colorful fishes from the jetty. The breakfast at the club house was delicious. We loved the Thai omelette, sushi, and passion fruit juice. The view from the infinity pool was simply breath taking. It is a must to mention the pillows. The soft pillows are so comfy that we actually bought two :) The specifications are way different the pillows available in the market. Our son had a fun time playing at the kids club. Thank you Amari Management for making our stay a memorable one. Highly recommended if you are staying in Phuket. wish to come back again and again :)
Quiet hotel and not too far from Patong beach”
We stayed in Amari Phuket for a total of 7 days in Dec, 2013. The staff gave us a room just by the beach without demand and the view is amazing. The hotel is just a hill away from the busy Patong beach. Walking to the beach is not far but a rented motorbike is better for getting around. It is relatively quiet compared to other major hotels located right by the beach. The room is not large but very clean. The breakfast they offer is great (let alone the dining area is just by the beach). I would stay in Amari if I ever visit Phuket again.
The most comfortable hotel bed I ever slept in”
I recently stayed at the Hotel Amari after a sailing trip around Phuket. The service was amazing, everyone met you with a smile and were very accommodating at every turn; from check in, to the amazing 1 bedroom upgrade, and getting taxi service to the airport, this was a wonderful hotel experience. After being on a boat for over a week, I relished in the shower with fantastic water pressure and the bed that you want to stay in all day. The view from the hill was breath taking and the food at breakfast and lunch was noteworthy. I would definitely stay at the Amari again if I returned to Phuket. It was a quick ride down to the heyday of Patong beach, but a welcome respite for rest and relaxation.
The best location! Supurb resort”
We stayed here for 7 nights, first trip to Phuket! What we gathered was that Amari was in probably the most prime position on Patong Beach, at the most southern end with no beach road between the resort and ocean yet only a stones throw from the hussle/bussle of shopping and restraunts of Patong. Could not fault our stay as everything was perfect including the friendliness of all staff and a great breakfast each morning. Room was huge, bed was massive and comfortable, biggest flat screen Ive seen in a motel (about 76in 92cm). Only minor fault we had was bathroom was a little small compared to a huge room they should have moved the wall half a meter during planning! I had to sit sideways on the toilet to avoid pressing my face on the shower screen, this was the only minor inconvenience though! Unfortunately the whole left side wing of the resort was closed for renovations until October and we were unable to access the private jetty many say is a must do at sunset, from the view from our room we could see why! It would be beautiful. Although I would not be keen on staying in those wings as it warrants plenty of walking just to get back to reception! The resort is built on the side of Patong hill thus be prepared for a few stairs although we only had one flight before access to the lift straight to reception. All in all was a great resort and we would certainly stay here again for a great relaxing holiday!
Exceptional! Location Location!”
we've had a 10 day break in phuket january 12. started our holiday at the amari for the first 3 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. the setting is gorgeous with all rooms overlooking the andaman sea and we were lucky enough to be right on the beach facing patong. the room was a little tight fitting for 3 of us but comfortable and clean. we spent most of our r&r time sitting in the balcony enjoying the scenery. the breakfast choice was amazing and made really special with the location of the restaurant. for us personally the long uphill climb to reception was fine as we enjoyed the excercise but be warned if you have painful knees or a bad back... it can be quite arduous especially after a big meal! we tried out the la gritta restaurant on the 2nd night as it was our daughters b'day and inspite of the hype of how wonderful it is meant to be,we were not impressed. the staff were not very forthcoming and the dishes were nothing special. overall very disappointing for what it costs! the beauty of this place is how close it is to the bustle of patong but far enough to be peaceful. ideal location. loved the jetty. beautiful picteresque setting and good service. would go again!
indescribable with words”
I loved my stay at Amari Coral Resort. Staff friendly and helpful. Concierge too. I am active so I really enjoyed the small hike up to the property from Patong beach. It is a slight hide away from the hussle of the city which gives more privacy. I did not use the pools but they both look very nice and clean. This place is more for couples without kids. I tend to choose hotels that aren't family friendly and Amari fits my need. Bar in the middle of the property over looks Patong Bay is just phenomenal. The spa is a treat in itself. The nature walk way which leads to the jetty is a nice walk if you enjoy an active type of life style. This property is classy in Patong area tucked away on a small hill away from all the bars, restaurant, shopping...etc. I definitely appreciated its serenity after spending a whole day either on the beach or day excursion. I highly recommend this hotel. This hotel is not for those who are unable to walk a few steps up the hill, in that case you can hire a taxi or tuk-tuk. Please do not take it wrong, this place is definitely not far from the town center, perhaps a 5-10 minutes walk depending on your speed.
heaven in Phuket”
Having been in many hotels in Thailand I can honestly say this is my favourite. It is heaven in paradise. From the moment you arrive at this resort you are made to feel at home and nothing is a problem. On arriving at reception we were told our room booking had been upgraded...fantastic. We were in a deluxe room looking over the sea and the room was faultless. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfy. The setting for the hotel is amazing, the views are fabulous. Yes it can be a bit of a hike up to reception but there is an evalator so don't let this put you off. The food in the hotel is great. Breakfast is from 6.30-10.30 and there is plenty choice with many dishes cooked to order. We ate in their restaurants on a few occasions and have no complaints. Yes it might be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The lighting around the resort at night is lovely, this resort really does make you forget all your worries....what a real holiday should do. The staff are friendly but not too in your face. Their attention to detail is second to none. My boyfriend had his birthday during our day and a complimentary birthday cake was delivered to our room which was a lovely touch and very delicious too! You can walk into the bright lights of Patong if you wish....it can be a bit of a trek back up to the resort in the heat. However there are plenty tuk tuk drivers willing to take you back into the resort....200 baht each way. All in all I cannot recommend this resort enough. If I am ever in Phuket again then I would most definitely return to this resort. Thank you Amari for a wonderful stay.
Right from the moment we stepped out of taxi, we felt welcomed to Amari with standby guest relations and staff helping us out efficiently and directing us to check in reception. Every staff was trained and well equipped to ensure the check in process was efficient and smooth. We were wowed and were unexpectedly upgraded, which was fantastic experience especially for a good friend who was celebrating his birthday in Phuket. He received a birthday cake from the hotel, which was a light chocolate cake which we thoroughly enjoyed. Amari has gone all out to make this experience a memorable one, and we look forward to our next visit to Phuket and Amari, of course.
Minor issues, but still the most relaxing. Great views.”
This was our 2nd time with Amari. This time, with our parents, so we booked the 2 bedroom Suite. I had built a certain expectation based on our last experience--but some things have changed. Cons - The Suites are now located on a hill, constructed several years ago. They provide a buggy to take you there. These glass condo suites weren't built when we were there last time, so I wasn't expecting to be so distant from the pool and breakfast area. In fact, the location of our suite was further up the hill (several loops) making it way too far to walk down the lobby. This means relying all the time on the buggy. Not a big deal, since you just call and they come after 5 mins, but not the most convenient. Second, our suite was facing another suite's roof. So, all the effort to be high up on a hill, tucked in there, only to face the roof of another suite, after paying 'much more' was a bit frustrating. They did move us to another location the next day. So, that was nice. Pros - they are very attentive in addressing your needs. My husband pulled a muscle and needed a chiropractor on a Sunday, and one of the ladies in the Front desk was extremely accommodating and called several clinics and hospitals until we found one. They did relocate us to another room and provided an Anniversary cake for my parents. They were very generous with replacing the water bottles, fresh fruits, etc. The breakfast was expansive. Huge selection and the location of the breakfast area outdoors really makes you forget everything. It's serene, peaceful and just beautiful. I think it's the best property in Phuket, considering the island isn't really the most beautiful or romantic. It was a great way to end our trip in Thailand here, to relax, enjoy the neighboring islands, etc. My parents loved it, so that's the most important. If this is your 1st time in Phuket, it IS expensive...so bring some goodies from Bangkok. Rent a scooter...because Taxi drivers ask for ridiculous amount for such sh
The Amari has a great setting and landscaping and is a beautiful resort. The pool areas are attractive & well maintained. Service was impeccable in all areas and the breakfast was fantastic. The deluxe room was very comfortable & well maintained - the sea views were wonderful. The premium for a deluxe room over standard was pretty high - I have a feeling that the standard rooms may offer better value and still a high standard. Although the hotel was fairly full it never seemed busy or overcrowded. The only potential issue with the Amari is it's hilly location in relation to the rest of Patong (I'm sure being on the edge of town is an advantage for many too!). While we regularly climbed the hill and never used the fleet of waiting tuk tuks on the warmer days it was pretty arduous! Also, the resort is large and there are a lot of steps - our deluxe room was a looong walk from the reception & walking back there involved a couple of steep climbs - I'm sure some guests would struggle.
Wonderful Hotel with Stunning views”
we loved our stay at amari coral beach. we originally chose this hotel as a couple waiting a nice location out of town where we could relax and get away from town if we wanted to. if this is the type of holiday you are looking for then amari is your hotel. the rooms are very nice, comfortable bed and i loved our little balcony overlooking the beach (we were on the ground level – level 1 right on the beach line) the pool was great and happy hour with half price cocktails always makes your stay a little nicer (and cheaper). the food at la gritta was fantastic. 1 night there was an all you can eat pizza, pasta and desert night and it was fantastic. very modern and not like a cheap buffet at all. price was not to bad either. the breakfast daily was nice with a big spread of food. there were 2 down sides to this hotel which are not really that bad, but may have swayed our booking should i have know: 1.free wifi – the only free wifi is out of your room (poolside or in the restaurants) if you wanted to use wifi in your room you needed to pay for it and its not cheap. also you have to get a new user name and password each day which means going to the reception area everyday or every time you want to go online. 2.distance/steps – everyone will tell you there are lot of stairs which are do-able. just know that if you are on ground/beach level like us you will do a lot of stairs. there is a lift however so not a huge worry. as we ended up with family also coming and staying at another hotel in town, we used the tuk tuks & taxis a lot. we had hoped that we would walk a lot however with the heat, the distance, the steps/hill and being hassled at every store this didn’t happen. allow approx 200baht per trip. some days we used the tuk tuks 3 or 4 times a day and the costs add up quickly. if you think there is a chance you won’t walk into town make sure you allow for this cost. all in all we had a wonderful time and i would stay here again.
Another great stay at Amari Coral”
just had another great stay at amari coral. as before, the resort is a great place to be and even when full there is ample space for everyone and it never feels crowded. was upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival and it was of a good standard with lovely views over the sea in the furthest away block in the resort. as always at amari coral...breakfast is a highlight...lovely surroundings and a superb choice of food - a great way to start the day. hotel staff are courteous and helpful. the hotel's location on the outskirts of patong is an advantage - you can choose to what extent you want to immerse yourself in all that patong has to offer - that could be all the time, or not at all! it is a longish walk into town, and the hill near amari can be a killer! first visit during the height of hot season (april) and very hot it was too, perhaps too hot.
This was my first trip to Phuket and I was nervous about staying in Patong. However I did want to be close to the action. When we landed and drove through the main streets I was a little freaked out... until we reached the Amari! It was a private paradise up a slight hill from Patong beach. It is a beautiful, as-new hotel. All rooms have a sea view and balcony. You can walk into the main town or take a tuk tuk for 200 baht. I cannot fault the hotel. I would stay there again in a heart beat. Room service was great. Restaurants have amazing views but pretty empty at night. Very comfortable beds.
Amari was a beautiful oasis on Patong Beach”
We were overjoyed to arrive at Amari after driving through the mobs of Patong Beach. The hotel is situated at the south end of patong beach up on a hill. The lobby and all facilities were beautiful. Our room and beds were comfortable and lovely. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, so many choices for any palette. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The two pools are refreshing with many lounges to look out at the ocean. The items on the lunch menu that we tried were good and reasonably priced. Our only disappointment was our dinner at the italian restaurant. There is a lovely walking path along the ocean out to a pier with a beautiful view of bays on either side. You can even snorkel at the end of the pier.
Excellent hotel in a perfect location”
Just recently stayed here for 9 nights in a Superior room. The hotel exceeded our expectations, it was perfect. It's at the bottom end of Patong beach around a 15 min walk away up a hill. It has it's own jetty where you can snorkel and swim with the fish. The hotel's facilities are beautiful and the bars/restaurants have stunning views out across the bay. It has a free shuttle bus to Kata beach and to the centre of Patong. Our room was at the top of the hill so over 200 steps to climb, but you can call reception and ask for a tuk tuk to take you back to your room. The staff cannot do enough for you and are all very friendly. In summary staying here made our experience of Patong so much more enjoyable, we were glad we didn't stay at one of the hotels in the town. Thank you Amari for an unforgettable experience.
The best hotel I have aver stay ”
Amari Phuket facilities are superb, you can just enjoy staying in the hotel while day and enjoy their pools, sports centre, restaurant, spa, jetty and water sports. The staff are friendly, they concern about their customers' satisfaction and achieve customers' expectation. The hotel is very big, they have private beach too. And buggy are always there to pick us up to lobby, and the service is fast. I will visit amari Hotel again when I travel to other cities
Beautiful Hotel with wonderful staff”
Amari was a beautiful hotel with spectacular views. We asked for a room very close to reception, which they gave us, and that saved having to walk up and down the stairs everyday. Breakfast was spectacular with nearly everything on offer. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday to a high standard and the pool areas always looked prestine. The only problems were the long walks into the main parts of Patong beach and the tuk tuks were overpriced from the hotel. The other issue was the toilet, sometimes it had a very bad smell but the cleaners always fixed that. I would definitely return to Amari
Hospitable Staff, Good Breakfast, Good View”
amari coral beach is my regular hotel when i go to phuket. it provides a good breakfast and is located at the end of patong - near amenities but far enough to be quiet. amari coral beach has excellent staff, friendly and hospitable. free wifi at the lobby, high speed connection.
Take a look at these facilities:
