Good value room near Khao Sanh Rd”
Good value little room with a friendly owner, quick check in, good taxi organisation and near Mad Monkey hostel to walk over and join the socialising there (for much better price value!). Could have benefited from bedside table. Sadly, Khao Sanh Rd has become an unbearable nightmare in the last 3 years so I will be avoiding altogether in future.

This place is great to discover old part of the city and all important tourist sights and temples. Room was nice, clean and A/C was great. We also had opportunity to take some toast with jam at the morning. The receptionist was a very nice and helpfull. We just didnt like that there is a mosque near this road, and they were praying very loudly every day (twice or three times a day). Would stay again.

              Simple but effective”
Good-sized room with double bed, air con & private bathroom. The staff I met were very friendly. A big downside is that the hotel isn't that easy to find (not helped by my tuk-tuk driver dropping me off on the wrong road, and pointing me down a random alley he said led to the hotel). If you're going to the Amarin Inn, Phra Sumen Road is very long, and you need to be almost at the river (near the fort, Pom Phra Sumen), and then look for the sign to the next-door hotel, Adamaz House - it is immediately next to Amarin Inn, and has a HUGE, brightly lit and colourful sign on it's roof (and another equally colourful sign on Phra Sumen Road which is also difficult to miss). If you look for this you will easily find Amarin... After two nights at the Amarin, I moved to another hotel in Bangkok, not because of its location, but because of a lack of sleep. The call to prayers at 5.30 isn't uncommom, nor are roosters & dogs, but the early morning building work was the last straw. Otherwise fine.

Really good value for money, cheap rooms with an excellent location just around the corner from khao San Road. The rooms are basic and clean (would recommend getting the larger room because the small is a bit snug, as is the bathroom). Toast and instant coffee available all morning as well. What really makes amarin so great is the staff, they go above and beyond to help with anything you ask about. Busses, repairs, printing, taxis, really well looked after laundry! You name it the lady on reception during the day will help with it, she is so friendly.

Very confortable and clean. Really good price 500bht for a little room, confortable bed, good bathroom, with ac and breakfast included. The women that work over there are such lovely and kind! Only 5 minutes walk from the khaosanroad caos. Near supermarket, bus stop, perfect location. I really recommend this place if you want to be near khaosan but at the same time be in a quiet place, fresh room and confortable.

              Wonderful location; lovely staff”
This place could have been tricky to find, but I read the other reviews on here that have very helpful directions, and had no problem. The location is just perfect! Close enough to walk to the khao San Rd area, and far enough away from the party. (It's also really close to the early morning and evening/night Street stalls on the way to khao San.) The staff were lovely, and you even get a free (basic!) breakfast! This is not a romantic, 'boutique' hotel, to say the least, and the main drawback for me was that the main bedroom window is onto the coridoor, and that neon striplights beams through the curtains, and also you can hear people going by. But bring earplugs and it will be fine. I paid I think an extra 50 baht for the room up from basic, and I was very pleased with the size of it, and everything about it. I had very low expectations and they were massively exceeded. For one or two nights in Bangkok, this place is perfect, and I will be staying here again towards the end of my trip. :)

              location, tidy, lockers
This is very budget / backpacker accom, my review is based on this. The room was tidy, well located near Khao San Road, but further enough away to not hear the music. There is noise in the morning, but I found it easy to get back to sleep. The man at the counter was lovely, though brusque to begin with. He provided a locker for our things, if you need this, remember a small padlock. I agree, the bed is very hard, but I don't mind this. The air conditioning worked well. The shower was alright, but warm at least. If you decide to stay here, do be considerate of other guests when arriving back late or leaving early.

Vibrant part of the city. Plenty happening around the hotel; good wifi coverage, good eating places nearby - to suit all budgets
Difficult to get to. Taxis reluctant to go to this area because of traffic jams. Used ferry from Central Pier which works out well. Reasonable sized rooms and clean rooms, although passageways were not so clean. Bathroom / toilet OK - a little small but adequate. No "extras" provided (soap/toothpaste/shampoo) but perhaps to be expected in a budget hotel Hotel is not well sign-posted - at the end of a fairly typical Thai alleyway (very narrow and possibly a little intimidating for a novice) Be prepared for a key fee (even if you have pre-paid the room) Worst feature: the manager has not had the advantage of a "Customer courtesy" course - enough said

Friendly staff and a quiet location (provided you don't count the mosque)
In the past I've stayed in some really basic, cell-like rooms in Bangkok's backpacker area.. Now that I'm a little older and pickier, I thought I'd shell out a few extra baht and choose somewhere slightly more upmarket. The Amarin Inn allowed me to crash in some comfort: the double bed was delightful, the aircon very welcome and the shower in the Thai-style bathroom was hot. The staff are very nice too. In my initially jetlagged state, I could have done without the call to prayer from the nearby mosque at dawn; though in time (I extended my stay from two nights to five), I managed to sleep through it.

Although, it is not easy for Taxi drivers to find down, but the location is good about 3 minute walking to Khao San road, and bus stops. The staffs are quite friendly and can speak English.
We have a week for holiday this year in BKK and spent 2 nights at Amarin Inn Hotel in the Basic room. We regretted that we could not book for staying in this hotel for the whole week when we arrived; because no room available at that time. Air condition, hot water and TV work well. However, the wifi signal was not very good at the level 4th.

Clean, standard room, a litle bit too loud”
Small room is enough for 2, near to the beach, helpful service
Unfortunately a little bit too loud ( they turn down the music in the bar below only after 1, so I wouldn't reccomend it to stay with children. On the other hand it's cheap, spacious and clean, so if you plan coming back home late, it's perfect!

              Great staff, mediocre internet”
              Staff, location, price
The owners and staff were really friendly. Internet was a little slow and intermittent, but is in your room when it's working, fine for emails etc if they're not too urgent to send! Hard to find but worth it - is well away from the noise of Kho San but close enough for a 3-4 minute walk. Small rooms are exactly as they're described, but that's due to the double bed, there's still room to squeeze a backpack. Ally might seem sketchy to solo women, but don't get too wasted and you should be fine. There are better places around for the money, but not with the friendliness that I found here. Not a romantic night in but also no roaches

              Good enough for the price”
Cheap, air conditioned, Wifi, Location, Offer laundry + ironing service
i booked this last minute as i needed a place to stay while on internship. the rooms were fairly cheap and decent. they gave me a double bed in a small room. the television hangs a little low so you risk hitting your head. i was able to get a hot shower enjoy the soft bed and airconditioning. there are plenty of places to get food nearby (my favourite is the joy luck club), khao san road is a 5 - 10 minute walk. there's a 7-11 near by too and phra arthit pier is five minutes away. i cannot comment on the bus services because i didn't take them from here. one caveat, every morning around 445am you may hear the morning call for prayers from a nearby mosque.
