bargain hotel in good location”
This hotel is about 100 yards from the train station and a very short walk to the river and night bazzar, 5 minutes walk to Wat Yai (the big temple). It is an older hotel and the rooms look a bit tired but we were pleasantly surprised to find everything was very clean. The hotel was a real bargain given the price included breakfast, which you might be glad of as there are precious few restuarants in Phitsanulok. I saw previous breakfast reviews were varied this is because if the hotel is busy they do a pathetic buffet if you are lucky enough to go when the hotel is quiet they cook the breakfasts individually and the quality is much better.

Nice location hotel”
The hotel is situated right in the city center of Phitsanulok. It's easy to reach attractive places of the city.

Nice hotel with helpful staff.”
the amarin nakorn hotel i a bit dated and in some places shows it's age with wear that has not been kept up. however, the room was clean and functional and the staff was able to answer most questions i had. the dining room is pleasant and the food (breakfast)was good. it is located very close to the train station, daily market, night market and the nan river. all in all a good value.

Great location”
The hotel shows its age but is very clean with rooms big enough. Its location in the center of Phitsanulok cannot be beaten. Very welcoming staff and big enough parling lot if you are on your own wheels.

Very good”
Good value; very cheap. A 5 minute walk from the train station. Close to the night food market. I stayed 6 nights, so it must have been OK. If I go back to Phitsanulok I will stay here again. The central Aircon loses cooling power in the afternoon, but if you close all the drapes it cools the room.

Value for money”
Amarin has the best location. The hotel is close to many local restaurants! The cafes, the porridge shop, the morning and night market. the vegetarian restaurant across from the hotel. The staffs were fantastic! They helped us find a local doctor who could speak English for a sick member. They helped us sent and received laundry! I will stay here again. It's an old hotel that needs updating but most things work in the room.

Exceptional”
the hotel is great! although we felt like stepping into a period 10-20 years ago with worn out interior, the price for what we got was absolutely perfect. if you have a chance, don't take room 919, the shower is not working there (or we just couldn't figure out how to make it work), but we could have a bath instead. so i'm not sure if it's a con or a pro :)) the beds were sooooo comfortable, I had the best sleep in my entire Asia trip, the conditioner was very powerful (in a good way). and so close to the railway station. and they also provide free water in bottles, shower gel, shampoo with conditioner & also it's possible to get a free coffee downstairs. like like like

Not as terrible as everyone says”
I think that a lot of the previous reviews are quite harsh and if you know what you're getting yourself into, you will find that the hotel is great as a stop-over (for us, we needed somewhere to sleep after arriving on overnight train and doing day-trip to Sukothai) due to convenient location right next to the train station, included breakfast (Asian is better than American), and definitely an experience (what with the 70s pimpin room and hotel decoration, and "massage" parlor on ground floor). Rooms were clean and comfortable if dated, good shower water pressure (rare in Thailand). Free Wifi. Staff were so kind - our train was late and we arrived at 5am on the day we were supposed to check out, so they simply moved our reservation without charge meaning we could come back and shower after our day trip, and check out the following day if we so desired. Also gave us good advice about local transport options and expected prices to pay for motorbike taxis and tuk-tuks, etc.

Good location and nice staff”
Walking distance to the train station and also the river which is central to the activities in this city, like night market and several tourist attractions. This hotel is especially good for people planning to travel by train. However, the room facility looks wear-out, but i suppose this shortfall is already factor into their low pricing. Overall, it provides good value.

good budget choice/has bathtub”
good location, just 100m to the railway station... got everything you need(even has a bathtub)... really good price/value ratio... only one little problem:there is a half-bowl shaped cover on every window...it works perfectly as a sound collecting device however it's not something you want in a hotel room...

好立地 / Good location”
I just stayed for 1 night because the price was quite reasonable. it located in the center of the city, and there are easy access to the station and some 7-elevens around there. One thing I was uncomfortable was the paint smell in the room. 料金が安かったので1泊のみ滞在しました。 町の中心に位置しており、近くに駅やセブンイレブンもあります。 部屋のペンキの匂いが気になりました。

Fading splender”
The entrance is very smart, reception slightly less so, the corridors could be spruced up, doors all need painting, the rooms are pretty worn out - as had been said here before. Agoda offers rooms here with identical descriptions at 2 prices, I opted got the more expensive as after reading other reviews I hoped to get a better room,I suspect they are the same room. It is a big hotel bit if what I saw is anything to go by probably only 10 percent occupied most of the time. The staff are fantastic but the wifi policy is bizarre. You are allocated a connection time regardless of how much data you use so in my case I connected my phone to Wi-Fi sent an email, then left phone on charge overnight only to find I'd used all 3 days time allowance while charging. Breakfast is nothing to write home about but ok if you look at it as free. I only ate it the first morning.

Good location but slightly run-down”
The hotel is located in the town centre of Phitsanulok. It used to be a major hotel but is now slightly worn down with a seedy looking Karaoke bar. The breakfast which was included with the room rate was supposed to be American breakfast but the portion was small. Staff was friendly when asked about bus transportation to Chiangmai, but could not understand simple English when asked about the times of departure.

Oldie and fabulous”
To get a hotelroom for this price is rare. Its a little bit old but man I can tell you, if you are a photographer you will have fun to use this charming room as a photo setting!

Old grand hotel and still a nice place to stay.”
I chose this hotel because I had to catch the 00.50 am train back to Bangkok so I needed easy access to the railway station at that time of the night and the hotel was an easy 5 minutes walk from the train station. And now, I am glad I picked this hotel. It is an old grand hotel but still well maintained and very clean throughout. My room was very comfortable and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff who helped me with direction to places I want to visit Didn't use the restaurant facilities so can't comment on that but a walk to the market next to the train station, one can get plenty of fresh local food to eat there. Also easy walk to the night bazaar next to the river. I had a nice stay.

Skipped overnight train, stayed here instead. Well worth it.”
Super close to train station. Good price, bed was good, AC didn't blow hard and bathroom was average, but overall room was good! Staff was helpful and called the bus station for me in the morning. They have a very inexpensive deal that you can have a room for 3hrs if you want a short stopover. (Helpful advice: don't take train to where you are going, such as Chiang Mai - take a regular 2nd class bus. Has AC, comfy chairs. Departs almost every hour, much smoother and faster then train, short taxi ride to terminal. VIP buses aren't nearly as often)

needs modernising & updating, looks dull”
Looking for a budget hotel for a couple of nights, and found this hotel including breakfast. like a lot of the old type hotels around, outdated & re-furbishing. Room of a good size and clean. shouldn't grumble of the price i paid. lobby toilets need checking more frequently, as not the cleanest. dinning area ok, but again, needs cleaning and updating. Staff friendly enough and helpful. would stay again at the right price

We stay just one night and we have a good time at this hotel. Have really strategic position near train station and at walkable distance from al temple of the city.

Very good,quiet hotel”
City centre location is near the train station and handy for the river. The place is surprisingly quiet. Wifi is excellent. Breakfast is fairly minimal and not worth preordering. But the room price is great value.
