i've stayed at several hotels in banjarmasin. most are old and in need of renovation. amaris is 2 years old, so very modern, clean and comfortable. connected to the hotel is 2 stories of restaurants, so plenty of good, clean food choices nearby. it's between the city center and the airport, so very convenient.

Nice and clean hotel, not too far from airport”
We visited some sites in South Kalimantan and decided to stay overnight at a hotel close to the airport for early departure the next day. This hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and also offers transportation (paid) to and from Banjar airport so it worked out well. Breakfast is standard, nothing special. Internet connection in the room is not strong (I had to go to the lobby area to use the internet). It would be much more convenient if they beef up in-room internet connection. I may or may not come back to this hotel.

Clean hotel and good service”
I had a wonderful time. The hotel staff provide a nice, clean, and spacious room for my family. The location is great, only 10 min to Banjarmasin city (by car), and next to a nice food court with lots of choice for good local food.

Clean hotel with great location”
The hotel was small but clean and with strategic location. It's located near to the airport and also near to the central of Banjarmasin. It's also next to the food center and the market, so I don't have any difficulty to find food or any thing that I need.

Cheap hotel along the route to the airport”
I don't know if Banjarmasin has a city center, but wherever it is, it's nowhere near this hotel. It's good enough if you have your own driver or can navigate the city using the angkot, but there's not really much around this location.

Great Budget Hotel w/ High Standard of Cleanliness”
I stayed there three times, the linen and towels always smell good. The room - though small - is always well-kept. Budget hotels can sometimes be a bit lower than our expectation, but this one is always satisfactory.

Hotel Location is good”
I like the hotel location which is I think is good since my business partners locations are located around the area. And the traditional market is just behind the hotel. The room is ok, quite clean. One thing that I found is the pillow is not so clean, so just ask to replace that. And the other thing that need to improve is the breakfast. We should walk outside the hotel to get the restaurant serving the breakfast. And I found that the food is empty, so we have to find the breakfast outside.

Sucks”
It supposed to be a comfort hotel according to the name. But from all Amaris i've stayed through out Indonesia, this is the worst so far. The A/C isn't cold, the wifi sucks, the towel looks awfull, the bed...., looks like my grandparents bed. The breakfast menu stay teh same for 4 morning!!! and the taste makes me doesn't want to eat anyway. Over all, i'm not gonna stay at this hotel anymore

great location but very basic facilities”
unfortunately, the bathroom door was not of good quality and the lock wasn't working well. there were mosquitoes in the bedroom, and it was annoying. also, the restaurant for daily breakfast was at another building, next to the hotel building. it was in the same complex and easy to find, but i'd prefer a restaurant inside the hotel building of course.
