The location is really strategic. i booked a room for my mom and she loves it because you can just walk to shopping areas. for better experience, you can drop off at lobby boulevard. It's not visible from main road, but it is located right in front of hotel lobby. The gate to mall is located right beside the lobby.

Cheapest with breakfast next to Mangga Dua Square”
If you happened to arrive late in Jakarta, this is your best option in Mangga Dua area. Damri bus went straight here at IDR40k per person. The hotel is also adjascent to Mangga Dua Square Mall where you can find Carefour supermarket, eateries and also many Factory Outlets which sell branded stuff at a low price. The hotel is accessible through the mall during its opening hours, convenient to go to Ancol and to get transport everywhere.

Basic Hotel”
my wife & i enjoyed our stay at this hotel. its a basic yet clean hotel. its located in the heart of jakarta city and its just a walking distance to many attractions, if you are a adventrous traveler. its close to the pasar pagi mangga dua, itc, and a few other locations. the "angkut" is readily avaialble till midnight across the street. mangga dua square is just next door, there is a nice chinatown local delicacies served just at the back of the hotel. never miss the crab !!! we would stay again in this hotel for our next trip.

Great Location ”
The location of the hotel is just beside mangga dua square where walk out from the lobby just turn left you will reach mangga dua square elevator. Front desk is really helpfull, the room is very clean. outside hotel lobby there are plenty of taxi (blue bird) stand by so is very convenience for traveler like us. The only thing i am quite disappointed is they provide free wifi but i cant connect through it while confront with the front desk and they said will check with the their engineering but as i stayed for 2 night the wifi still not working.

The Amaris Hotel Mangga Dua Square is strategically located in the Mangga Dua Square complex, putting it in the same complex with Novotel Mangga Dua which is priced roughly double. If you don't mind staying in the Mangga Dua area, then this is a good hotel to consider. Yes the rooms are small (roughly 14 sqm), without any "real" window (they only have a small window overlooking the internal void, not outside), and is basic. However, the bed is comfortable enough, they provide LCD TV, air conditioning, toiletries and towels all included in the room price (unlike some other budget hotels). Breakfast is very basic, but sufficient to get you started for the day. They serve fresh fruit, fried rice/noodle, a vegetable, a side dish, and breads. Plus an egg station, juice, and milk. Breakfast, despite being basic, is slightly better than some other budget hotels. It's not lavish, but serves its purpose: to get you started for the day. Location can be good or not, depending on whether your intention on staying in Jakarta can be conveniently accessed from Mangga Dua Square. However, being in the Mangga Dua Square means when you want to do some shopping, practically everything is just footsteps away. Hint: the rooms are located on the 6th and 7th floor. From the emergency door at the 6th floor, you can access Sands, a popular massage parlour in Jakarta.

Better than expected”
Previous reviews have said that Mangga Dua Square have only electronics and clothes. While the shopping mall does have many of those shops, it also has a large selection of food court/restaurants/indie food stalls at the basement opposite Carrefour. The hypermarket also has a cooked food section within where the staff will cook your order (beehoon soup, fried rice, etc) on the spot. Opposite the hotel there is a row of roadside seafood stalls where you can get great seafood at a cheap price. Next to the hotel (at the novotel side) is a row of chinese food stalls. It is true that the hotel is a little far from Monas and that part of the city centre. Jakarta traffic can be horrible. However, if what you're looking for is good shopping and good food, you won't go wrong staying here.

Good basic 2 star hotel ”
Stayed at this hotel for 2 night. Booked for smart double room, but the AC didn't function well. The staffs was responsive and they changed me to other room with bigger size and bed. Location wise is very convenient as the hotel is annexed with Mangga Dua Square mall with plenty of choices for eateries and other nearby attractions. Breakfast is quite okay. This place is recommended due to the affordable price and convenient location.

Comfortable and good location”
this is our second time staying in amaris mangga dua. we stayed there as it is close to mangga dua itc. i absolutely love shopping there. the hotel has completed most of its building/renovation works since the last time we were there in december. it has more rooms now. staff always has a smile on their faces. rooms and hallways are clean. the breakfast spread is minimal. the only con was that we could not get a couple room as all were booked up. otherwise, value for money for the budget traveler who wants to be near mangga dua itc and the big shopping malls.

Budget Hotel in an accessible location ”
after our trip to bali, me and my friend chose this hotel for our 2d 1n stay in jakarta because of its convenient location. there is a shuttle bus from the airport that stations in front of mangga dua square which is connected to amaris hotel. taxis are not cheap in jakarta, so if you are considering to save on transportation, i will recommend this hotel. however, you have to take a taxi if you are a tourist and not familiar with the public transportation to explore the other parts of the city. the breakfast buffet was great with lots of option. room is small but clean and comfortable.

Amaris mangga dua square is recommended place. Comfort to stay, clean room, friendly staff, and room quite large. It's in mangga dua square area, which is fairly complete for shopping place or spend your holiday. There is a family karaoke, cinema, shopping place, but not much choice for food. If you want to go to the other place in Jakarta, there's a lot of taxi, bajaj and trans jakarta. There are damri and taxi for transportation to the airport, which base in mangga dua square area.

Great Location”
We're on a business trip to Tanjung Priok Port. Booking a hotel last minute, we search online and came across Amaris Hotel Mangga Dua Square on Agoda. Reading through the review thoroughly, we decided to book this hotel. Upon arriving the hotel, interior and exterior designs are comfortable. Hotel rooms are considered clean and neat. What's nice about the location is that its near to Carrefour and food centres so it's very convenient for dinner or supper when we're hungry. Breakfast is also included

Small yet comfortable”
Amaris Hotel Mangga Dua Square. The room is not so big, yet it is a very comfortable hotel. The hotel is clean and the price is also good. Not so expensive as I do not like to spend too much money for hotel. So long the room is clean and neat, the rest is not a problem. The service is also good and the front desk is also very friendly. Good for those who loves to shop as the location is very good, near the shopping center. And sure there is not a big deal to have a meal here.
