A great beach Holiday resort”
Amazing new resort on tanah lot beach. You can see sunset, sunrise on the black sand beach sitting beside the pool. luxurious cottages , clean, spacious , comfortable. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good, would be good to have more items . Only downside is the location. This resort is far from airport and any shopping area. But if you are looking for a 2/3 days laid back holiday this is the place .
Extra large bed, comfortable bed, large room, International TV cable, wifi everywhere, water kettle, fridge, free snacks, hair dryer, safety box in the room, sea view from room's terrace. Friendly staffs, best swimming pool in front of the beach, bicycles to get around the field, perfect place for honeymoon 😊
A beautiful location”
Loved staying here. Although it was only an hour from Seminyak it felt like a world away. My room was lovely; very large and contained everything I needed. An amazing coastline out the front of the hotel and rice paddies out the back. Just a short walk from the back of the hotel, you can head right and within minutes you are surrounded by rice paddies. If you manage to get up early in the morning, you can see the sun rising over the mountains in the distance. I also enjoyed long walks on the beach at low tide. I totally recommend hiring a scooter and exploring the countryside for a day. I went to Tanah Lot on my scooter and it was a lovely ride there and back. The food options in the restaurant aren't great, but its cheap and the tax is included in the prices! The staff were very friendly and helpful although communication could be a bit tricky at times. I was very appreciative of the shuttle service which took me back to Legian. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to hang out somewhere quiet and tranquil. Bring lots of books! I would absolutely stay here again.
Away from the hustle and bustle environment. Great staff. Great place (facilities, bungalows, etc.) Great food. Recommended for people who wants some quiet time (seeking for serenity) and people who wants to do some de-stressing.
Best place in Bali. Heaven on Earth. ”
This is all you can want a holiday to be. Excellent view. Good food. Rooms right by the sea. Really good staff who try their best to cater to your needs. They provide car if you need someone to guide you around Bali and tour the place too. The in-house massage and spa is also very good. If you are booking, stay at least two to three nights, if possible more, because one cannot get enough of the beauty this resort has to offer.
Love this place”
I have been already a few times and still love going there on the week end (I live in Bali). The resort is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, food is good. Internet could be better though but good enough for emails (only). I am traveling with my wife and 2,5yo daughter and the large open spaces are perfect for her to run around, play ball, etc...
Everything was amazing at Amarta. The staff were very friendly and attentive and do a great job making all guests feel welcome and special. The Spa is remarkable! Definitely give it a try. We were traveling with a 2-year old and the grounds were spacious enough for him to run around without getting into to much trouble. The location is nice if you want to get away from the noise and party scene of Bali, but it does make for a long car ride to/from the airport or a daytrip to Ubud.
Amazing place to relax ”
There is nothing nearby to do, so if you're looking for peace and relaxation and staying at the hotel this place is perfect! The infinity pool is amazing. You can go on some nice long beach walks. Our only downer was the food at the restaurant. It was hit and miss, I'd stick with the Indonesian food over Western and the portion sizes were small. The kitchen is also elsewhere and we didn't like the fact that every dish was covered in cling film when brought to the restaurant. They need to invest in a more eco friendly alternative.
Outstanding villas with one drawback”
Room was huge, beautifully clean with a great view over the excellent garden to the ocean and constantly crashing surf (earplugs required if you are a light sleeper). The staff were great, but the big negative was the restaurant that has some big issues that need attention. ......totally lacked any atmosphere, had the same music playing over and over again, very small portions of food arrived luke warm as the kitchen is about 50 metres from the restaurant, so has to be carried on a tray outside to get to you! As there are no other eating establishments nearby, this was a huge negative for our otherwise great stay at Amarta.
Exceeded expectations! This hotel fits the slogan! Retreat abd rejuvenate!
The sort of place you dream of.
Absolutely loved it!”
If you want to wake up to the sound of the ocean, go for a morning walk on the endless black sand beach, chill at the infinity pool with some fresh juice and finish a day with a nice massage, go for this hotel. It’s a bit far from everything but that’s what makes it very private. There were just a few villas there and I stayed in no 1(ocean view). The place is super clean and very well maintained. Sunsets are amazing! The only thing that could be improved is the food. The portions were a bit small and a bit plane. However banana pancakes and watermelon juice were so yum! :D if you feel like going out you can book a tour, they will take you to some temples, rice fields, fruit market etc . Special thank you to all staff, especially Puspa, who really took care of me and made me feel at home. On the last day I booked a 2h. quad bike tour (company in the village called Aussie Advanture). Had a lot of fun, highly recommend. Thanks Amarta, I’ll be back!!
Secluded beach location”
Great bungalow style room, wonderful location directly on the beach. Very nice place to relax. However, the beach is not approved for swimming due to strong waves although people were paddling. As others mentioned the food is quite expensive (around £4 for main course) and portions are small - due to the distance to the nearest restaurants it’s a case of pay the price or if you have transport head out to eat. It’s convenient for Tanah Lot and Canggu area.
Beautiful quite place to relax”
This hotel is far from anywhere but the scenery along the way to and from the hotel is so beautiful rice paddy fields. The staff greeted us warmly with helping with our luggages, gave us welcome drink and cold tower. They even upgrade our room to suite ocean view..... Thank you Amarta !!! The view around the hotel is amazing and beautiful, we really love the infinity pool facing the ocean.... They also provided us with afternoon coffee & tea and also delicious ala carte breakfast.... At night, it is mostly quite dark with minimum lighthing, but we could see moon and stars clearly and it was also so beautiful at night with the sound of wave... It is the best place to relax and keep away from busy city... Overall, we love to stay here and we are looking forward to come back again to stop by after or before we go to another busy places in Bali
Excellent place to spend your vacation!”
Amarta is where you need to be if you are trying to escape from the daily life buzz and need a break from all of it coz its far far off from the city. But its a very beautiful, well maintained resort that has fantastic landscapes. Staff is friendly. We opted for Aroma therapy but it wasn't that great as we didn't feel relaxed at the end of it.
Reducing its value regrettably ”
Calm and peaceful place but this atmosphere is often broken by dozens of group people who are brought by a local tour operator contracted with this villa Such event really reduces value of this premises regrettably
Great quiet getaway”
Wonderful small hotel away from the hustle and bustle. There was No food nearby so all meals had to be eaten at restaurant. Food was pretty good, a mixture of western options and Indonesian dishes, average of 80,000 rupiah an entree. Breakfast was very good. The best thing was the view by the pool, ocean front. The beach was clean but the waves were quite strong, not great for swimming.
Wonderful holiday in Amarta Retreat”
It was a perfect moment in Amarta Retreat. The rooms was really big and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast "A la carte" was awesome and the room service is at the same price as the normal meal in the restaurant. Perfect ! It was just pity we didn't order the lunch by phone for the room service. In summary, wonderful moment in Amarta and very restful ! Thanks !
Couldnt fault accomodation quality or helpful staff (although launguage barrier a little difficult at times). Beautiful location and perfect for a couples getaway, and well worth indulging in the Spa treatments. The drive from there to the airport is a wonderful way to view the bali culture.
