Great, boutique & cosyGreat, boutique & cosy hotel. We had two, spatial rooms on the ground floor near the lobby. Both were clean with nice furnishings. What is really nice about Amata Lanna Jangmuang is visible and adorable care for details and very friendly staff. All toghether makes great atmosphere. It’s really good choice to stay in Chiang Mai.
Dear Pawel, Thanks for your time and made a great review for us.We appreciate it. Looking forward to see you again. Best regards， Icey
Jangmuang staying was above all expectations. The hotel is carefully rustic/antique decorated. You will not find a lot of cold steel or plastics around you. Our room was really large, with sleeping and dinner area. The bathroom/toilet was divided in 3 areas: shower, toilet and washstand/closet. It was lovely. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast is served ala carte. First, always a different Thai style warmdish; then you can choose the kind of eggs you want, toast and tea/coffee. Everything simple but very well prepared. The hotel is situated inside the walls of Chiang Mai Old Town, close to amenities. When we arrived at the hotel, we met a danish guy who was checking out. He said to us: - You just came to the best hotel in town! I thought we was exaggerating, but now, I agree with him. We couldn't have stayed in a better hotel in Chiang Mai.
Perfect Chiang Mai home! ”
I've stayed in Chiang Mai before, in other hotels, but didn't love them so picked this one for my latest trip, with my girlfriend, and my mom, who was coming to visit us from Canada. It was the perfect choice! We stayed for 4 lovely nights. They gave us rooms across from one another (108 for my mom, which had a little balcony she could smoke on) and 107 for us (super nice, great bathroom - I recommend requesting this one!). The decor was so charming and authentic, bed was so comfy, and there were little bonuses like a mini fridge in the room. Loads of space, really quiet, and perfect location in the middle of the old city square meant it was easily accessible to everything. The price was really great value as well! The staff were very friendly and kind, and breakfast every morning was quite good - choice of eggs + toast, fruit + yogurt, etc.. The coffee was great! They also made us breakfast early one morning when we were leaving earlier than their breakfast time. I really loved it here and would absolutely pick this hotel again the next time I visit Chiang Mai! A+++!
fantastic stay ”
It's located inside the old city, away from the main road, so you don't get to hear the noise from the traffic. Saturday market is on the left of the hotel where sunday market is on the right, both about 5 min walk and airport is about 15 min drive. The room is very nicely decorated and spacious. We were assigned to the room at 2nd floor, with attached balcony. This hotel doesn't have lift. So if you have elderly or big luggage try to request for 1st floor rooms. They do provide daily breakfast, from 7 to 10am. With various type of fruits, some pasta or bee hoon, egg and coffee or tea, quite full for me. There was 1 morning we are suppose to be picked up by the tour van at 7am. The staff took our breakfast order the day before and specially prepared for us at 640am, that's so thoughtful. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, able to speak english, we have no problems in communication. They also arranged red cab for us to where we wanted to go. We booked a 1 day tour to Chiang Rai through the staff, they do have various of package to choose from. Overall it's a pleasant experience and if you are looking for some unique stay in Chiang Mai, this is the place you are looking for. I will definitely go back if there is a chance. :)
Amazing staff and stay”
Our stay included a group of six and we each fell in love with everything about JangMuang. The staff is absolutely amazing, kind, attentive and genuine. Breakfast was perfect, rooms are decorated with the utmost care and attention. We will absolutely return to beautiful Chiang Mai and Jangmuang.
Stylish and cosy boutique with good location”
We fell in love with our room at the very first sight! It's impressively attractive looking, with artistic decoration to every detail. The room is not spacy but cute and cosy. There's a small gallery and a cafe in the same compund, too. The boutique only has two floors and we stayed in their superier room on the ground floor with view of their small but nice garden. There are wooden tables in the gardern where the breakfast is served. Their breakfast normally starts at 7am and our driver was scheduled to pick up us at 6:30am. However their staff offered to make toast and coffee/tea just for the two of us! Really appreciate their willingness to go extra miles. The location is good too. There is a temple just opposite the house. And it's less than 10 minutes' walk away from the famous Wat Chedi Leung. It's away from the busy market/bars thus we enjoyed quietness and peace at night. It's not far to walk to other part of the old city as well. In a word, we definetely recommend Jangmuang Boutique House! To note, it only has a limited number of rooms so book early!
When I searched for this "Amata Lanna Jangmuang" on Google Maps, it showed the other Amata Lanna hotel (which is a better looking one). Even our taxi driver was confused; we headed there first and were told this is a new hotel and were given directions to get there. This hotel is more of a boutique, much smaller than the older one. Hope this can be corrected, we do not want to be misinformed. No complains about the quality of the room and service though.
Thai-ish Hotel Design”
Jangmuang Boutique House is trully a hidden germ in Chiang Mai. Our stay was fantastic, the staffs very friendly and helpful to our needs (most of it). Love the exterior and interior design of the hotel which is very Thai style. Love the butler cat "Tong Dee".We were arrived very early to Chiang Mai but the staff let us check in early so that we could change and clean ourselves before exploring the city. The cons is that our room's water kettle very dirty and unable to use it even we already wash it. The staff also unable to replace it to new one. Beside Jangmuang Boutique House, there is Jangmuang Guest House,so don't mix up with this two places. Overall, will stay here again but will not use the water kettle.
the best hotel in chiangmai, thailand! superb!”
I will never ever forget this hotel. This place makes u feel at home --cozy! The hotel itself was designed for art lovers. it has an art gallery which showcases paintings that would make lasting impressions.... their family room is definitely the best! Big, cozy, artistically designed---i was impressed! One suggestion though, kindly provide a brighter light in your toilet room. :) overall, the place is superb@ highly recommended... the besy service. The best rooms. The best location. The best breakfady. The best of the bests at an affordable price. Thank you jangmuang! We enjoyed our stay there! More power!
a clean beautiful hotel”
I stayed in this hotel for my last night as a small reward for my travel. I wanted to experience a Lanna style room and it fits my purpose. I love the design of the room, it's very stylish in a traditional Thai way, and it's very clean. The hot shower is good, and the breakfast is good, too. I travel along but I paid the room for two people, so I asked the front desk if I could invite my friend to join me for breakfast since it's my last day in Chiang Mai, and she had no problem with that. My friend came and we both had a nice breakfast, although the food potion was not big. The only things I had to complain about were1. the wifi connection was not good in my room, I had some trouble to get the website I needed to review a few times, but I still had wifi. 2. It's an old hotel build with wood, so you can hear the neighbor quite clear. I used ear puffs. The location was not so convenient to compare with my GH before. It's in an alley, right next to Nine Hotel. Overall, I think it's still worth to stay for a couple nights.
The perfect guest house!”
Our family booked two rooms here, and then returned when we got back into Chiang Mai. We loved staying at this fun guest house, which felt like a small artists enclave. The courtyard / lobby was open to the air and decorated with interesting pieces tucked into corners. Rooms were equally quirky and fun, but also clean and comfortable. Location was great - we easily walked to Wat Chedi Luang and the Saturday night walking market (and took a tuk tuk back - be sure to tuck a business card with the address in your pocket). The staff was very friendly. Our schedule the first morning had us departing before their breakfast is usually served, so I'd planned on eating while we were out. Instead, they offered to serve us early. The morning we departed, we left too early for even that, but the staff kindly left us a bag of fruit and some yogurts in the fridge to take with us. We appreciated the gesture and will absolutely stay with them again when we return to Chiang Mai.
Aesthetic boutique house and service is good”
this boutique house is located in old city, where many beautiful thailand temples u can visit. it just cost 20thb to everywhere in old city area by songthaew. price of thai-massage is good in chiang mai. and you can buy many interesting & inexpensive goods/handicraft in sunday night market!!!
Friendly service, 24 hour front desk. ”
Just south of the major east west street in the southwest quadrant of Chiang Mai, we liked the location. It is not next door to anything, but that makes it quiet and peaceful, plus Old Chiang Mai is not that big, we walked anywhere in old Town with no problem. We splurged on the biggest quad room and loved having the extra space for two people. The balcony could use a ceiling fan, but other than that it was good. The bed was good, the bath large and nicely designed. Everything is getting a bit worn, but clean and unique enough to be fun. We stayed five nights and would definitely stay again.
Fantastic large rooms great location”
We arrived 3 hrs early we were greeted with a smile fresh juice fruit and biscuits They got our room ready early, such a lovely place from the moment we walked In. They helped with tours hiring drivers where to go what to see They made our visit to Chang Mai a special memory of our visit to Thailand Chang Mai is a must see and so is jangmuang boutique.
We spent 3 nights in this little fabulous hotel. Definetly feel like what they promo: "Affordable luxury". The room is big, very well decorated. And the hotel location is perfect for walking around the old city of Chiang Mai. Stuff here offer very nice service.
Lovely boutique hotel in perfect Old City location”
This is a very attractive little hotel perfectly located in a quiet but convenient part of Old City (restaurants and temples are a mere five minute walk away, the airport is less than 15 mins drive). The decor and design was very charming and well suited to the nature of Chaing Mai. We booked the suite with balcony, which ended up being the entire top floor with sweeping views on three sides of the building, so it was very spacious and comfortable. Shower pressure was great and plenty of hot water, the only thing that could have made the rooms better would be the inclusion of a bathtub, but other than that it was perfect. Cable TV had a couple of English movie channels which was handy to relax at night as there's not much nightlife around and restaurants seem to close early. Breakfast was average, choice of fried or scrambled eggs with toast and fruit, but plenty of other options nearby if you choose to dine out. Overall, definitely recommend this hotel for a nice relaxed stay with traditional feel in a nice part of the Old City.
Lovely Boutique with spacious room, great service!”
A truly Boutique house in thefullest way: personal touches in every room.Every detail was well-considered: comfortable bed, efficient bathroom & a kitchenette too. Breakfast was quite big and tasty. The ambience was truly one of Old Chiangmai charming past. A northern Gem indeed, great value for money.
very nice hotel, tidy and very personal touch”
unexpected large room and very clean. the area is in the old town of chiang mai, but very convenient to stay. the owner is very nice. i want to bring my parents to stay. even i forget the key card, i call the housekeeper around 11pm, she is very helpful. con: no staff at night, guess who expect full service should look for another hotel. this hotel is for traveler with personal touch.
Great hotel on the old city”
A good location just minutes from the Sunday markets and ditectly opposite some of Changmai's greatest Lanna style restaurants. Friendly staff and the hotel is made to look like a tradition Lanna style inn with plenty of charm and character. Your room is serviced everyday as soon as your leave by the friendly staff. Air-conditioned rooms are climate controlled and are a god send when you have fought the heat all day long. Breakfast is included in the tarrif and consists of noodles or rice, scrabbled or fried eggs, toast a small fruit plate and your beverage of choice. The breakfast is adequate but it's the same each day. All in all a good experience.
Charming, friendly, character lodgings.”
We loved this place, it was decorated in Lanna style, old world wood and fabrics and was very charming. The breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and spacious and the beds comfy. The only thing I could say would have improved our stay was if they had a wine opener! We would definitely come back. Great for children, very friendly, excellent service.
