Wonderful place to stay when visiting Ngapali beach”
We’ve had a wonderful time at Amata. The resort is very nice, cozy and is situated on a perfect part of the ngapali beach. They also have a lot of beach beds available. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Our room (400 sections) was very nice. Large room with good beds. We also got a free upgrade, very nice!!! Breakfast is very good. A lot of choices between Asian food and the more western options. The food at the restaurant of the resort is very tasteful but also very expensive. A little bit too expensive I think. If they lower the prices more people would eat at the restaurant. And it could live up more to its potential. Most of the time it was empty now. Location is perfect. Nearby a lot of cheaper and very good fish restaurants. Hotel needs a little bit maintenance as well. Absolutely recommend this place!

Wonderful location with friendly staff”
We live in Yangon, and come to Ngapali Beach once or twice a year. This was our first time at the Amata, and we would happily go back again. The location is great - at the south end of the big beach, with lots of good eating options outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet is one of the better ones in Ngapali, although the other menus off the menu were hit-or-miss. (Some good, some just OK.) We requested a quiet room on a higher floor, and stayed in a really lovely room with a view of the ocean from our bed, and with a little porch we could sit on and watch the sunset. Really lovely room - very happy with the accommodations. Beds have mosquito nets, and the bathroom included a bathtub. The beach was a little dirty, but this is the end of the rainy season so there is debris that washes on shore and other hotels hadn't opened yet so trash wasn't cleaned in front of them.

When we first entered the Amata Resort and Spa Hotel we were fascinated. It is like a little green oasis next to the white sandy beach. The staff is very friendly in every situation anf helpful. We spent our holidays in one of the superior Bungalows. The room was very clean and well equppided and the cleaning personal was coming twice a day (first: cleaning, second: closing shades) Also the beach and the pool was very clean. We can absolutely recommend the Amata Resort and Spa Hotel.

Top hotel on beautiful beach”
My holiday at the Amata Resort was one of the best I've had for a while, mainly because the beach in Ngapali is so beautiful. The hotel was great though - absolutely no complaints. The room was comfortable, everything works and the maid checked the room twice a day. Breakfast was good, as was the restaurant. The beach was fantastic with very comfortable recliners.

Great beach, friendly staff, beautiful design”
amata is located at the south end of the beach which is the "nicer" side of the beach. the hotel itself is very beautifully designed, with dark wood entrance way that leads right to the pool, restaurant and beach. the roof is open to the sun in the day and moon at night - very nice. the one problem was that the room we stayed in (as most of the rooms are) are tucked away in a very nice garden. many of the other hotels have cabanas that are right on the beach - some of them go for the same or much more money than the amata. however, we decided to extend our stay at ngapali beach and found the north end of the beach had a few family run places - the one we chose was called memento - just a simple fan cabana right on the beach for 10x less money than the amata per night.

Great location”
Amata is located on a beautiful part of Ngapali beach. Our hotel room was located in beautiful gardens away from road noise and closer to the beach. This did take some negotating when we arrived. Staff were very attentive.

A little piece of paradise”
We had been travelling around Myanmar for three weeks before spending the finally couple of days of our trip at the Armata resort at Ngapali Beach. It provided the perfect place to rest and recuperate before our return home. Set in beautiful surroundings, this resort provided a little piece of luxury whilst still maintaining the essence of the Myanmar culture and way of life. Highly recommended.

Relax, friendly staff, confort”
We spent 4 days at Amata Resort. The satff was wonderfull, very helpfull and extremely polite. The room was big and very confortable. The hotel decoration is very tastefull. The bar has always some nice lounge music. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices and with good quality. The beach is very clean and the hotel provides lounge chairs and towels. The only complain would be regarding the internet connection which is very poor.

Relaxing Resort”
The Amata is a great place to relax and unwind, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We booked a superior room, when we arrived it had single beds and the staff were happy for us to change rooms to a double bed. The rooms are clean and well appointed apart from the TV which needs upgrading. The breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from. Happy hour cocktails watching the sunset is fantastic. Would recommend the Amata Resort.

Just fabulous ”
My partner and I had the most wonderful time at Amata resort. We had booked elsewhere but when we arrived we discovered Amata resort and decided to change hotels. We were so glad we did. The setting couldn’t be more beautiful, the building, the grounds, the food and most especially the staff all made the stay fantastic.

Relaxing haven - perfect for honeymoon”
We stayed in the new block (700 numbers) near the spa. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. It's nice how they clean them in the morning and come to turn them down in the evening as well. Breakfast is great and sunset happy hour is really spectacular. We ate in the restaurant one night which was good food but a bit over priced - we found we could get better value and food at local places. The biggest issue is wifi access is really intermittent but I think this is the case everywhere in ngapali.

Amazing Hotel”
If you plan a stay at the Beach we can highly recommend Amata Hotel. Their beach is great, very clean, not many people. The hotel's restaurant is over priced from my point of view, but there are plenty of restaurants directly around the hotel. The facilities of the hotel are impressive - everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation.

Amazing stay, fantastic breakfast & sunset !!”
We enjoyed very much our stay at the Amata. We easily booked our trip back to Yangon at the reception and absolutely loved the hotel location, between a sensational beach and the best (and by far cheapest) restaurant we did during our trip in Myanmar : the Treasure (the owner Ti Minh Htike is fantastic !). You also have to try the breakfast, huge ! Overall, a wonderful experience !

Great place for a relaxing vacation on the beach”
Beautiful resort right at Ngapali beach. Apartments "hidden" in the garden, very private. Not crowded. Great cuisine and very attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Great pool, location, stylish hotel”
I've stayed at the Amata Resort before and it's a great hotel. Lovely pool, nice Scandinavian-style décor. Good spa. This time I stayed right at the start of the season though and some things weren't quite working properly. Few things on the menu at the restaurant were available and the food took a long time to come. There was also a bit of banging as they were rebuilding some of the chalets. Still had a great time though.

Exceptional”
Such an amazing stay at Amata, extended my stay by one night but wish it could have been more. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, staff are so sweet and thoughtful and the breakfast is incredible! My room was literally 20 steps away from the pristine beach. Would 100% return!
