Lovely Hotel”
This is a lovely hotel. A word of caution: Do not go at the end of hot Season! The hotel closes during rainy season, Normally June-September. They ran out of a lot of food items because they didn't want to restock before they close. We will look forward to visiting at a different time of year!!

Fabulous property excellent service!”
Fabulous location, excellent service! The hotel is right on a beautiful stretch of Ngapali beach which is the best spot to swim in the ocean. The resort is done up very nicely, the landscaping is awesome. The staff is friendly and warm, service is excellent.

Relaxing Resort”
The Amata is a great place to relax and unwind, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We booked a superior room, when we arrived it had single beds and the staff were happy for us to change rooms to a double bed. The rooms are clean and well appointed apart from the TV which needs upgrading. The breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from. Happy hour cocktails watching the sunset is fantastic. Would recommend the Amata Resort.

Ngapali Heaven”
Not only is this one of the best locations to stay, the whole layout of the hotel is superb. Lots of shade within the hotel grounds provided by use of abundant palm trees and beautifully tended gardens. A great breakfast is provided and the food is fresh and well presented. Happy hour 2 for 1 is great. The rooms are very very light and airy with huge windows all around. This is all managed by wonderful smiling staff who are only too pleased to help at every turn. Will be back again next year...can’t wait...!

Exceptional”
It was an excellent choice for a short last minute break. It is on a lovely stretch of beach but within a short walk of one of the fishing villages which offers a fascinating early morning walk to see the boats come in. The room (one of the cheaper ones) was good though adjacent to the road and early morning traffic noise was a bit disturbing. Breakfast was good but other hotel food was quite expensive and we waited over an hour for an average dinner. However walk out the gate and there are excellent local restaurants or walk 30 mins along the beach to many seafood restaurants on the sand. Staff were excellent throughout.

Beautiful facilities and common space”
Welcome cocktail and free pick-up from the airport which is good as it’s around a 20 minutes driving. The common areas, library, swimmingpool, garden, beaches, restaurants are super nice and well decorated. Breakfast was definitevely the best we got from our 1 month trip in Myanmar. Croissants, crepes, home bread, selection of cheese ...are very good. You have also a chinese section if you prefer the fried rice. Lot of choices and the buffet is outside with the view of beach/swimmingpool. Don’t plan to swim or play in the swimmers ng pool as it’s not so big and just in front of the restaurant. You will prefer to stay on the beach. Towel services. We didn’t eat or take any drinks in the hotel as it’s triple price from outside. You have plenty of nice restaurants and happy hours around. The room was nice but not a real view and just behing the road. So it’s very noisy. All rooms close to the road are very noisy so becareful when you book! Old bathroom!

Nice Hotel ”
The Hotel is quite nice. We had a Deluxe Room , the size of the room was ok but the furniture was quite old and the bathroom was not of the quality that i expected. The swimming pool is useless has its not warm enough to enter . However the food is great except for the breakfast buffet. We loved the view and the sunbed .

Great location”
Amata is located on a beautiful part of Ngapali beach. Our hotel room was located in beautiful gardens away from road noise and closer to the beach. This did take some negotating when we arrived. Staff were very attentive.

Such an amazing stay at Amata, extended my stay by one night but wish it could have been more. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, staff are so sweet and thoughtful and the breakfast is incredible! My room was literally 20 steps away from the pristine beach. Would 100% return!

Needs a renovation ”
The only this this hotel has going for it is the location. It is in dire need of a renovation. I stayed in a deluxe room - was very worn. Went to grab a bite to eat for lunch at the restaurant. Waited over 45 minutes for bruschetta. The staff at the front desk isn’t the friendliest I’ve come across. Not a 4 star hotel and not worth almost $200.

I love Ngapali but”
The hotel I have no complaints with but I do think it is the responsibility of the tourist authority and the hotels to put an education program together to educate the local people on how to dispose of their rubbish properly. I was horrified to see the sea and beaches especially the fishing village covered with plastic waist. I know the hotel every morning cleans the beach out side of the hotel but it still finds its way back into the sea. I watched a couple swimming and the guy came out of the sea carrying a suitcase. I took a trip to the island to go snorkelling and stayed half an hour there was so much waist floating in the sea and I even found syringes on the beach. I was then worried to take of my shoes. If you dont act soon it wont only destroy the planet but it will also destroy the tourism in Ngapali
