Very good”
Among 5-star hotels, Ambassador is affordable yet it's a bit for from Zhongshan district. Most of the staffs are very kind, but it's quite hard to communicate in English. About room condition, when people talked each other, I could hear the voices from other rooms, which was a bit annoying at night. I called the reception about this, but something made me feel that I was the problem. If you want to stay near Zhongshan district with quite affordable price, I would recommend this hotel, but sorry to say, I don't think I would try again.

Great Location”
Very comfortable and quiet poolside room. I would go back to Ambassador Taipei Hotel again. Definitely a must recommendation place to my friends, because it is near the train station and the bus stop for Taoyuan International Airport is just right in front of the hotel. And great tasting restaurants are every where.

great service and staff, beautiful hotel, classy a”
this is the one i will stay again when i visit taipei in the future. upon arrival there was a welcome drink and staffs called me by last name. room is spacious although it's standard. the heater fan was broken so they moved us to executive floor on 9th. it was nicely designed. i stayed at 2 different 5 star hotels this visit, i would prefer to stay at ambassador next time.

Great public areas, small rooms”
This was my second trip staying at the Ambassador, Taipei. Overall I thought it was a very nice hotel, fantastic service, incredible public spaces, very good restaurants. That said, they is nothing special about the guest rooms, the are generally quite small and relatively spartan, though clean well maintained. The greatest disappointment was breakfast in the executive lounge. I ate there three mornings and the selection and variety was pretty minimal, but worse, every warm dish I had on each day was cold, not less than warm, cold. While I may return, I will likely try another hotel in the area.

Old yet cozy and convenient hotel”
I have to say that the hotel is pretty old yet well-maintained. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. It's only 5-minute walking distance from the nearest MRT station, and in the area, there're many restaurants / bakeries. Swimming pool is a square shape and you can really swim. The gym and swimming pool are never crowded. Overall, I had comfortable stay in the Ambassador Hotel Taipei.

lovely hotel and good location”
My husband and I had an excellent stay at the Ambassador hotel. It is lovely and clean, comfy, centrally located, nice sized rooms and near to a subway station. It is a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Only annoying thing was that there are only 2 elevators, so during busy times you have to wait too long! Otherwise a great place to stay

Great Location with Updated Executive Rooms”
Somehow, this hotel was overbooked, so we were upgraded to an executive twin instead of a standard twin. They could have tried to force a double room on us instead, but were accommodating to the fact that we had two travelers who did not want to share a bed. The executive room we stayed in was spacious and updated. The one drawback was that the window was directly facing the wall of another building. It wasn't much of an issue for us, but maybe something to look out for if you are particular about your view. The location of the hotel is great. Very close to an MRT station and in a nice area of Taipei.

Convenient Location and impressive room”
stayed for two nights. location is great, being less than 5 min walk from the nearest mrt station and only two mrt stops away from taipei train station. the room we had (8th floor) was well decorated, comes with good and clean toilet (even with heated toilet seat). basically has anything you would expect to have from a hotel of such grade. for the price i paid, this was well worth it.

Comfortable stay in a excellent Hotel”
Great service starting at the pick up at the airport. Check-in very smooth at the executive desk. Welcome drink in the launch. Very compact but comfortable room and bathroom. Excellent and fast laundry service. kind staff in all areas of the hotel. quick check-out. The Hotel is 3 min (walking) from the next metro station and an other 5 min (metro) from taipei main station.

Great Location and Great Service”
The hotel is within walking distance to 2 MRT stations(Shuanglian and Zhongshan). It has many cafes and restaurants around. It is also within walking distance to a night market (Lingxia). The other famous night markets are all within 20 mins MRT rides away. The service of the hotel is also very good. The breakfast has a good variety, catering mostly to the chinese and japanese customers. Room is relatively big with good free wifi. Though my room faced the main road, there is hardly any sound. Only minor displeasure was that the pillow was a bit too soft. And it was unfortunate that the swimming pool was temporary out of service.

stay at Ambassador Hotel, Taipei. October 2015”
We requested twin beds in a premier room. A double bed was provided. The double bed proved to be of an antiquated type which meant that every movement made by my husband or me disrupted the other's sleep/rest, to the extent that we both had no sleep on the first night, making us cross. Upon request for twin beds, we were told all premier rooms have only double beds! and only a twin regular room would be available some 3 days later. This was not satisfactory to us, having already paid around £120 per night for 8 nights. After some argument with the receptionist who consulted the manager who did not bother to intervene it was agreed that a temporary bed would be provided at no extra cost. This meant that the extra space we specially paid for in a Premier room lost its meaning, as the temporary bed took up much space. We would have been better off (in terms of sleep and cost) in a regular room which cost a lot less! This was the third time we stayed at this hotel. In the two previous occasions, we had regular rooms with twin beds which we found satisfactory. The new staff/management at this hotel were less welcoming and friendly than before. We are now considering using other hotels in the same location. Other than this, I must say that the cleaner was excellent and full marks are given to her for cleanliness and cleaning. I might add it is very odd that an hotel which markets itself as 5* is not able to provide twin beds in a more expensive room and that the double bed that was provided on this occasion was not up to the international standard expected of a 5* hotel. I rate the Ambassador as a 4*. Taipei was the final destination in our recent itinerary which included Hong Kong and Japan. Now, the Granvia at Kyoto is a true 5* affair; the room was quiet despite being in the midst of Kyoto Station, the bed provided was bliss to sleep on. We are regular travellers; we know what we are talking about.

Lovely hotel with great detail”
Stayed for a night at the Ambassador hotel, and was pretty impressed by the range of facilities in the room. The hotel had a permanent fragrance in its hallways which was really soothing as well.

Great location but no wifi.”
Love the Ambassador, however, I feel the hotel should have wifi in all of the rooms. It is ridiculous to have to plug in when you want to get online.
