Good location, but slightly dingy
Ambassadors' is at a very convenient location in the heart of the city, but unfortunately our room did not reflect the photos seen on the site. It was poorly lit and the shower had missing tiles. No parking available except a few lots (7pm-7am) right outside the hotel.

Too old
The room was very dark compare to regular lighted hotel room. Floors are squeaky under the carpet. The carpets are worn out and dirty. Mattress beds are very uncomfortable, it is wabbly and and worn out when u lay down in it. Door locks is conventional type which is very outdated and unsafe. Over all value for the room is not worth it. We immediately book another hotel the same night though we still charged for it.

As they say, you get what you pay for and I did!
Parking facilities were advertised and when I arrived to find no driveway, I called only to be told the 'facilities' were the UParks around the area or the on street parking (being from interstate, this was not helpful). On checking in, the front desk attendant was nowhere to be found. Turns out whoever is on duty runs the gambling area kiosk, front desk, concierge service and general all rounder. On arriving to our room, it was old, smelt musty, the bathroom was small with a ledge over the sink so you couldn't bend over the sink to wash your face without wetting your clothes and floor (so this was done in the shower), exhaust fan was full of dirt/dust and hadn't been cleaned in forever. The aircon was only able to be used if we left the curtains open so if we wanted privacy or to sleep in, the aircon had to be turned off or it would be blowing and flapping the curtains. A few logical updates would have this place in ship shape, the parking is manageable and forgiveable given a change to the ad for the hotel and an upgrade.

If this is an Ambassador, the King would abdicate
Hotels are for sleeping in. This didn't happen, I'm afraid. Apart from the function that went through until 1.30am, the things that prevented sleep include a quaint ancient lift that kicks the building with a loud bang every time it is operated, and a building infrastructure that seems to amplify sounds from two floors below, and from the other end of your wing. I am fully conversant with how two people spent their evening, after it was described at 4am at length from several rooms away. The building is old, musty, run down, poorly maintained, and possibly unsafe. Avoid at all costs.

Great Location, but old room
The locations is 5 stars! The room is big, but the heater is too old and creates loud noise which was hard to sleep, and the shower curtain was very dirty.

Should be rented by the hour! Disgusting!
One of the worst hotel experiences we had! The pictures and hotel rating are deceiving. The hotel description should mention that the hotel has a nightclub, gambling room and is rather geared towards a young crowd. We would have never stayed in this hotel with (or without kids) for that matter. As soon as I entered the lobby I knew that this stay would be unpleasant. I do not know where to start it was that aweful. The parking structure is not attached to the hotel and is about a block away. If you have some luggage this is rather difficult. The elevator is old and manually operated. The horrid part about the elevator was that it reeked like sewage!! The hotel is dark and dingy looking and our room/ carpet smelled like mildew. There were a few floor boards missing under the carpet, which was kind of creepy. Mattresses VERY uncomfortable. A futon would have been better. One of our double beds legs collapsed seversal times when the kids sat on it. The whole room, in fact the entire hotel was outdated and in major need of a remodel. The worst part, in the first 10 minutes of staying in our room, our 1 year old found a condom under the bed! The other thing that made me almost check out at night was that there was construction or some other extremely loud noises right outside the hotel starting at 2:30 am. No one could sleep until morning hours. In short, disgusting! This hotel should be rented by the hour only.
