    Awesome staff amazing facilities”

We were welcomed by all the reception with a huge smile and the entire staff was lovely from the receptionist to the barman to the people in the restaurant, everyone was very friendly and charming. The triple room we had was just above the reception and it was really spacious with 1 big bed and 1 single bed since we were a couple and a friend it was perfect, there is plenty of space and the bathroom also is very spacious, you have the restaurant just in front of the beach and the food is really good one of the best we have tried in Bali, although us a bit more expensive compared to other restaurants within walking distance, but still really good quality menu. There are 2 swimming pools 1 more quiet and a 2nd one on the top with a great view of the beach which also has a bar in it. They recently opened a rooftop bar where they serve many different cocktails and drinks and also a Shisha bar if that's what you like. We had the chance that every Tuesday they have live music and it was a great. Great place to stay 100% recommended

    Pleasant stay”

    The pool

The room was comfortable, weird shower ended up getting the whole bathroom wet. The pool was a nice feature, but the lobby was crappy and very un-inviting and stuffy. WiFi didn't work in the room, but did at the open air cafe' on the beach. The staff was accommodating and nice. They are building on top of the lobby and the pounding starts at 8am.

Quiet hotel for calm and peace”

    quiet, calm, relax

It was a 2 night stay here to enjoy the place and indeed we had a very relaxing stay here. The nights welcomed us with clear skies full of stars and peacefulness. I like the room space, alot of space for anple relaxation. However, the place was pretty old and you have to be prepare to the crowing of the cock in the morning as the hotel was situated in front of a village dwelling where they kept chickens. Bring earplugs!

Pleasant hotel in a good location. ”

Location in Amed is good and the restaurant is next to the sea.

the amed cafe and hotel is an old hotel much in need of some renovation and modernising. the location is good for visitors to amed and the surrounding area. there is enough parking. there is not always staff at reception or nearby. however, the staff are friendly and informative. our room was large and the bathroom was large too. the mosquito net couldn't be fixed easily. the bath was patched but there was plentiful hot water, if the pressure wasn't great. the staff were always busy cleaning but everything about the hotel seemed untidy and not well looked after. "faded beauty" springs to my mind. however, we all enjoyed our stay there. the restaurant was expensive, the food just average, the breakfast just acceptable and the staff were a little unfriendly.

    good location ”

    walking distance to some restaurants

cafe amed is a small and cozy hotel along jalan bunutan. i spent the night with friends. our rooms were cozy and had a nice veranda. the beach is across the street, very quiet and you can snorkel right there. it has a good view of mt. agung especially at sunrise. the only downer is the breakfast, just toasts, jam and egg, no other choice. the snorkelling equipment were a little pricey too. i recommend you try other restos nearby for lunch or dinner, they have home cooked meals. e.g. sama sama bar and restaurant and warung bobo.

Great snorkling but noisy road and roosters”

Restaurant by the beach, could snorkel right from the beach, peace and quiet at the beach

We had the hotel recommented by some other turists - but we were not as fond of the hotels as they were. The location of the restaurant is beautiful. But the hotel is located on the other side of the road - although there is not much trafic, it was very noisy in our room. As well as the roosters early in the morning. Staff at the restaurant and the hotel were friendly. But we waited at long time before our food was served at the restaurant.

    swimming pool

hotel is right next to the main road and on the other side from the beach. rooms are great - clean, big and nicely decorated. the best feature that we enjoyed was the swimming pool, even though on a smaller side it is situated in a beautiful garden and shaded, you can also ask for young coconut to be served right there. restaurant is right on the beach and great place for breakfasts and dinners. helpful stuff can help you organize snorkeling and diving trips. for those looking for a sandy beach this is not the right place - amed is for snorkeling and diving and enjoying views.

    Really pleasant surprize.”

More like a little resort than just a hotel

The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is a distance from Denpasar (about 2 hours by taxi if the traffic is not too bad - approx U.S.). It's perhaps not as convenient, but we wanted more remote/quiet and less touristy. We rented scooters from the hotel. I think we got them for $5.00 U.S. per day. Fuel is quite cheap..about $.30/l and can be bought along the side of the road. We made arrangements for scuba diving directly with hotel...they have a dive store. Snorkelling at the shore. Massages at the hotel on the beach approx $8 U.S. The hotel restaurant is across the street ... breakfast included. It's meager, but sufficient. For Category 3 rooms(this is a room with a/c) includes coffee/tea, toast, egg and fresh fruit. Our room was lovely with a little balcony. The pool is small but very nice for cooling off and they provide towels. We had originally booked for two nights but extended to four

    Nice hotel and great service”

Spacious room, hammock in front of the room, the beach.

we came to stay for just two nights but we like the place so much, we decided to stay for almost a week. our room was very nice with a hammock in front of it and also a bench. there is a small swimmingpool which we didn't use because the beach was that near. overall it was a very pleasant stay and we hope to return next year.
