"Fine hotel in Amed, nice located and very friendly staff! Unfortunately our room was not very clean since we are very clean and tidy people. The room didn’t look exactly like on the picture nontheless it was an okay and good stay, the wifi worls perfectly and the breakfast was very goody!"

Tradisi Beach Front Villas
Amed,Amed - View on map
"It was our first time, visiting Amed. We booked the beach front villa at Tradisi. It was a great choice. Looking straight out over the water from our room, watching the fishing boats come and go. Very quiet and peaceful. Great spot to view the sunset behind Mt Agung and also the sunrise across the water. The staff were all lovely. Kare also gave my husband some cold fresh aloe Vera for his sunburn. Restaurant is simple but adequate. We particularly enjoyed the vegetable omelette for breakfast and the Special fried rice (Nasi goreng). Tv was only Indonesian channels but, that didn’t worry us. The only thing I would have liked would have been a jug for boiling water, as I like to make my own coffee. I would definitely return to this hotel"

Villa Bukit Segara
Amed,Amed - View on map
"Giles and Chris January 2106 We are very lucky to have been able to travel to many countries in every continent and this is the first time that we felt we were obliged to leave a review of our experience . The reason ? Because Villa Bukit Segara deserves it . Winding down the drive towards the villa the staff working in the gardens jumped from what they were doing to welcome us with big smiles and waves, genuinely happy to see us and that was the theme from the start of our stay to our departure . So , written virtual tour ? Walk past the kitchen , you hardly notice it as your eyes are drawn to the expanse of ocean right in front of you , onto the covered dining area with great furniture to lounge on if you want . If you don't stop eyeballing the view you have a good chance of ending up in the pool which is no bad thing at all. Our rooms were immaculate , a lovely open sitting room overlooking the gardens and sea with a built in Balinese seat to just sit and watch the ocean. Massive bedroom , walkway to dressing room and bathroom , must admit I got lost in the bathroom one night , too much wine , too much space and too many doors! We booked originally for four nights and then planned to move down the coast to Sanur which we did . Although we had booked and paid for the villa in Sanur the next morning I was on the phone to Putu the next morning to see if we could be collected and bless him , three hours later he picked us up and back we went to spend the rest of our holiday , best thing we did ! We normally like to visit as many different restaurants wherever we go but on this occasion we dined out only once and that was because Sery is one of the most accomplished cooks we have ever found . The menu was not vast , always a good sign in our experience , but encompassed all the delights of Balinese cuisine with her own additions which made dining a real pleasure. "

Santai Hotel
Amed,Amed - View on map
"Overall my partner and I were so excited when we first pulled into the driveway at The Santai. It is such a pretty spot and its so very relaxing. We had a bungalow right on the beach and the views were just heavenly. The room was better then what we expected. The room had great airconditioning and was very roomy indeed. The resturant was just fantastic and the chef...... Wow what can we say - food was just amazing for a 3 star hotel. They had entertainment and they were lovely people. There english isn't as good as where we normally stay in Seminyak, but who cares, you get by. Amed is a very quite little spot and I think we were the only Aussies there as most are from Europe as they love to go hiking and also go diving. Our purpose of going to Amed was for my partner to go diving and I wanted to have complete relaxtion after a busy year and it certianly did the trick. The only annoying think was the dam flys and mozzies - take lost of spray. Its not too bad through. Happy Holidays AC"

Aquaterrace Amed
Amed,Amed - View on map
"Coming to Amed and Aquaterrace was the best decision ever! I cannot express how wonderful this was. It was a tiring 3 hour ride to Amed, but it was worth it. We arrived late, Made, the humble B&B owner, came running out to greet me, appearing very relieved that I made it to Amed without trouble. We were exhausted but the view was spectacular and we punctuated our trip with dinner at their restaurant. The restaurant (like the rooms) overlook the beautiful sea with uninterrupted vastness. Amed is a quiet town built on a small close knit community of locals. Aquaterrace is run by one of them, Made, and his Japanese wife. Located right at the top of one of the hills, Aquaterrace gets a very nice elevated view of the ocean. It's also located a little further away from the busiest parts of Amed (which is hardly that busy). Which makes it quiet. Their fusion of Japanese and Balinese cuisine is a real hit with the few tourists in the area. We were staying on the lower floor, in front of the pool. So our balcony led out to the pool and the view of the ocean. The room was huge and spacious, with a beautifully decorated bathroom. The room is equipped with a hairdryer, Sensatia soap and shampoo and fresh clean towels. They also had a small mosquito coil holder though we didn't need it. Aquaterrace is impeccably run! They have a few staff, who run the kitchen and the spa which is just above the kitchen. These guys run like clockwork. Excellent service standards and special mention to their head, Ketut (or so I believe his name to be). They work as a very tight knit family, so you definitely feel very well taken care of. The staff were incredibly helpful in hooking us up with snorkelling gear, and the snorkelling point is a two minute walk down to the beach. One can simply just walk straight into the water, and be mesmerized by the amazing marine life that lives just below the surface. Best stay in Bali! I'm already planning my next trip back! "

"From where the private pool, you can see the sea, the hills and immediately when the bellboy left us we jumped into the pool which is perfectly sun kissed the temperature is perfect. Bose sound systems in the living room providing very tasteful balinese modern tunes all provided by the hotel. Absolutely the best place to be in Amed and its well worth the price."
