Close to paradise! 2nd time in 18 months staying there. ”
Convenient to many restaurants and good snorkeling in front of hotel. Each villa has it’s own private pool, garden and koi pond. Restaurant on the beach is very good, too. Excellent service, accomodations and ambience. Would give it 6* rating if I could.

Heaven!”
We stayed in the 2 villas by the beach (Villa1a&1b) Huge villas, so much space with a private pool. Didn't like the outdoor loo and shower. The grounds are beautiful, the staff lovely. We booked the snorkelling trip with the dive shop....omg this was the highlight of our trip, loved it! a definite must. For me this is the best part of Bali, Pemuteran is very chilled and not at all crowded... most frequent visitors had never heard of the area, this was our first time to Bali and the place I hope to return to.

Would deserve 5 stars if the staff management was capable”
The villa was great although some things would deserve some fixing (lights, door handles and locks) and proper cleaning (spider webs everywhere and cocoons in the curtains, extremely dirty outdoor mattresses..) Although the management and staff was willing to be of service, their service level was quite poor for basic requests and they were lacking common sense: waiting a longtime to get room service (once waited 1h for 2xcoconuts), missing parts of our room service orders, staff reading Whatsapp messages but not responding, staff broke a glass when cleaning and left big pieces of broken glass behind them (we had to contact the management multiple times as no one was coming at first, and they did not seem to communicate between themselves as they sent 3 crews, over a 45min period...) Also quite annoying, the staff was always coming at 3 or 5 people for the most basic things, most of them looking at us dumbly while one was doing something (we had 5 people coming in our bathroom to remove a spider web in the shower on the first day), like covid doesn't exist anymore. Could be a great place to stay if this was changed or improved

Quite place and good for snorkeling”
The room is very big, balinese style. A lot of mosquitoes at nite. Not much food around the hotel. The nearest we can find is around 10-20 minutes drive (non-halal food). We got the room that consider has private pool. If you like snorkeling, this hotel is the place. Just swim around, you can see the beautiful coral and fish. The children can play sand, snorkeling and swim in the pool as well

Lot to work on, but great potential.”
It is at an excellent location and beautiful place! They have such a great potential! However sadly staff does not know how to keep clean and maintain the place. Lot of trainee staff, which is not a problem but they fail to properly teach their trainee staff. They forget to explain them how to pay attention to detail with cleaning, also to explain how to handle tourists. For example no need to have 4 servers at the table for one person! With better cleaning, maintenance, the place would be amazing. I would still recommend the place for someone who can live with some dust, fingerprints on windows, broken items, scale, grime, etc. Basically someone who is not too attentive to details. Hopefully they will fix this.

Ouch! When we go to a resort we expect everything in mint condition and that was not the case. I think besides cleaning the immaculate lawns i think the staff also need to focus on cleaning the rooms and utensils etc... especially if they know a guest is arriving.

Great escape from Jakarta”
Spent 4 days at the Amertha Bali Villas. Wonderful escape from the pollution and noise in Jakarta. The hotel is a 3-4 hour drive from the airport depending on the route you take, but the drive is scenic and the destination was well worth the journey. Staff speak perfect English. Our villa did not have a TV set but it was not needed, as we barely spent any time in our room, instead choosing to spend the day lying by the beach, or the pool, or visiting nearby Menjangan island. The restaurant opens right onto the beach where the locals maintain a wonderful reef. No currents and gentle waves make for very relaxing snorkeling. It was wonderful to snorkel, and then come up from the water to a warm cup of hot chocolate. From what we saw, the mix of guests at the hotel seemed to be 50% families and 50% couples. The spa is very nice and reasonably priced, but as it is open-air we were bitten quite mercilessly by mosquitoes during our evening massage and thus could not really enjoy the experience. The staff could have placed mosquito coils out before we started our massage to avoid this. Aside from that - no complaints! The in-house tours seem expensive compared to the many other agencies on the main street that are within walking distance.

Small resort in great suroundings”
We selected Amertha Bali Villas intentionally because of their villa style with master and junior bedroom, which is the perfect set-up for a family with small children. An we were right! Price seems to be a little high at first, but can be put into perspective by the fact that in other hotels / resorts two rooms need to be booked and paid if you wish to have two bedrooms. For snorkelers and divers, the marine life directly in front of the hotel is superb. Pemuteran Reef Gardeners restore coral reefs in the bay, the result is astounding. I recommend "Reef Seen Diving Center" adjacent to Amertha Bali Resort over all the diving centers on the main road.

Paradise ”
Amazing time in paradise. I went to Bali to get away and Amertha was everything I imagined a perfect Bali vacation to be. I ate every meal at the restaurant on the beach. Affordable and delicious. Fantastic service. Beach provides a long walk and snorkeling on the biorock reef right at the hotel was great and no waves...neon blue starfish, eels, parrot fish, tangs, trigger fish, puffers. I had an upper oceanview villa and shared an incredible garden and pool with the lower villa. Fridge and basic kitchen outside with two dining areas. Wifi was very good for a remote location so I got work done in the afternoon by the pool, although it was stronger in my room. Other cafes and mini markets within easy walking distance but none of the touristy shops or busloads of visitors. If you want to retreat, dive or snorkel, this is the place. If you want wild night life and thousands of vendors, stay in Ubud or Kuta. I had planned to go to Manjengan Island but couldn't make myself leave the beauty and peace of Amertha. I travel a lot and this has become one of top 2 places in the world I would return to. Wish I had stayed there all week instead of moving around. I've stayed as lesser places for hundreds of dollars a night. Worth the drive as there is a lot to see on the way.

Luxury and peaceful oasis ”
Although the website and information on the various fora gave us a good idea of what to expect, we were still surprised by the peaceful environment, the nice villa, the beautiful and well maintained gardens and the location with direct beach access into a clear sea with plenty of beautiful corals and colourful fish. Meals served at the beach. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood and various activities, snorkeling/diving at Mengalan, watching Dolphins at Lovina. All within less than an hour travel. One word of advise, choose a villa that's away from the sometimes noisy road! We will certainly do so next time we visit Amertha Bali Villas.

Relaxing beach-front resort”
We stayed at the Amertha Villas for one week and we had an ocean-front villa. Sharing the pool and kitchen area with one neighbor may not be everyone's taste, but in our case it worked out fine. The villa was really nice and spacy and the private pool directly in front of the bedroom was fantastic. There could be some more choices on the menu and the amount and quality of the food could be better, but nevertheless we prefered having dinner in this great location on the beach, rather than in one of the noisy warungs somewhere along the street, where the food is not really much better or cheaper. The hotel staff is friendly but not as hearty as in some other places in Bali where we have been. Snorkeling directly in front of the hotels beach is great (although visibility can be bad when waves are high); several good diving centers are just a few minutes away oalong the beach. Taken together we can absolutely recommend the Amertha villas resort as a very relaxing and enjoyable place with a good value for money.

Amazing all around ”
Love our stay- pemuteran is off the beaten path of the crazy touristy areas of Bali. Best snorkelling off the resort beach we've ever encountered. If you like snorkelling and diving, this is the spot for you. We had a ocean front villas, beautiful facilities. Great food and amenities. Staff go the extra mile every time. We had a bad sun burn and casually mentioned it to one of the waitresses, 15 minutes later they had picked fresh aloe from the garden and applied it for us free of charge. Not much to do in pemuteran, so if you're looking for a great snorkel, relax by the beach with good food, this place is for you. We will definitely be back.

Good weeks chill”
Long drive from the airport to the location over the narrow mountain roads. Took 4 hours in the dark so don't arrive on late flights if you can help it. Villa really special especially the bird life around the pool and garden. Arriving late no staff after 10 at night so security took us to the villa. Surprised to find nothing in the room information wise like normal hotels. Tea and coffee plus minibar are located outside of where you sleep. If someone using the upstairs you have to share the pool too. Luckily we had nobody upstairs. Even so to cross the garden at night especially at night is a bit of a pain. We loved this outside kitchen area during the day though. Breakfast at the hotel are much the same based around an egg or no egg. This needs seriously looking at. Eg the American breakfast was neither one thing or another! Food in the hotel was good other than that. Outside we found the food of a low standard except for Hungry Army right next door nice people and tasty food. Joes over the road for internet and drink internet in the resort is very poor so if you like connectivity go the Joes. You def need to get a driver and go put as North Bali is really for Diving or snorkelling some really nice places to visit though .

A paradisiac place to rest in Bali”
amertha bali villas is really the good place for whoever wants to rest and relax. villas are spacious and well decorated. the garden is just beautiful. there is also a small beach for those who prefer rest on the beach. the restaurant is also right on the beach, really enjoyable! the staff is always smiling and helpful. i would for sure recommend this place!

we rented one x villa, with private pool. villa size great, pool private, lovely grounds, friendly staff, nice food. only down side , noise from muslims praying over an a p system at night and early morning. this is not a issue for the resort, as this is the norm re this area of Bali. we would love to have stayed longer

Comfortable and clean”
Very comfortable, spacious, well equipped villa, nice terrace with relax places and private pool (shared with another villa, fortunatelly emty during our stay). Everything very clean (incl. garden beds and pillows, mosquito-curtains etc.). Hotel area well-groomed, beautiful view on mountains and the ocean. Snorkeling around reef directly from hotel beach (not too clean). Restaurant serving good, not very expensive meal. No bigger town close to the hotel, just few small shops.

Great villas with all the luxuries”
Loved everything. The hotel was beautiful and the villas were luxurious. The staff was superb and catered to all of our needs. We ate at nearby Frangipani and liked it more than the hotel food. The beach was great but the fishing was not so good. The pond by our villa had great fish and the frogs made wonderful music all night long. The villa was spacious and he service was perfect.
