I’ll be honest, the ambiance was what we were looking for. But, upon arriving at our place, it wasn’t communicated beforehand that we won’t able to use the whole house/villa that we inquired months before, assuring us that the whole house/villa was for us to use. They told us that the “owner was staying, having a renovation” reasons that weren’t true. When we renegotiated with the price we’ve paid, the other “tenants” staying at the upper room, they just blasted the music in the morning, doing some ‘renovation’ early in our last morning, and even told one of us that we can’t use their amenities such as, their toilet outside, because we just rented the “two rooms” and we can’t use their amenities anymore. Merchant was kind enough to renegotiate with us for the price we’ve paid. Overall, it was a stressful moment for us. But the ambiance is good if you want a quiet place to stay and feel the “local” vibes of Siargao.

Family style hostel/home stay in Siargao”
If you are looking for a well priced room/dorm with great hosts (June and Al) come to this spot. Food is prepared together, trips can be arranged, all with a local touch to it. We prolonged our stay because we really like the place and the room was better than expected. Very spacious and great bathroom! Location is between Cloud 9 and General Luna. Both walkable.

Amazing hosts, good location”
Homey experience with hosts who treat their guests like friends/family. They will help you with your itinerary, show you the good places to go to in siargao, prepare food for sharing/boodle fight, and even share life experiences. The hostel is still in soft opening when i arrived so there are items that the hosts were still going to add. but those things didnt really matter anymore because you will not really stay in your room much, you will just sleep in there. Location is good, its close to a beach, with a lot of tricycles, scooter rentals, and near restaurants. All in all, i had the best experience in Siargao because of the people i met at Amigos. ❤️ cant wait to be back.
