Beautiful place with beautiful view far from crowd”

my boyfriend and I spent one night here for our 11th anniversary. we are usually very frugal when traveling but gave in when we saw photos online! the place looks the same in person -- the view is great and the infinity pool is very nice. the room has a large bathroom with bathtub and closet, the bedroom is minimally decorated. best thing is the balcony which all the rooms have. since there are only 5 rooms, the place is able to keep the serene ambience and best for couples. breakfast is free and served either in the receiving area or in your balcony. they have in-house cook so you can order meals bit only before 8pm so best to order early as the cook and other helpers will go home by that time. also, there are 211 steps from the arrival area to reception area so please prepare haha. this got a bit tiring when we arrived after a walk to the nearby beach but still managable. the beautiful aninuan beach is a 5 min walk away towards the right of amihan del sol while the entrance to talipanna beach is 10-15 mins away. aninuan beach is cleaner and has less crowd even during holy week when we went there so if you are to choose just one beach, I would recommend aninuan. white beach is about 10 mins via tricycle that costs 150 one way. we did not care much about this since we didnt want to see the much crowd but sometjing to take note of for those who wish to frequent the restos and bars there. also, there are no restos near amihan del sol so if you did not bring food, you would just have to order from them. this is convenient but of course slightly pricey. over all, I loved our stay here. the place is beautiful, serene and the staff wereal polite and halpf. come here if you wish to have some peace and quiet but still have beach options when needed.

    A Piece of Heaven”

    Location, Amenities and Staff

I've seen Amihan Villa online a couple of years ago but the supposed vacation never happened. A month before 5th anniversary, Mhar and I have been looking for a place and our initial choices were Boracay or Hundred Islands. Later, other options were considered such as Calaguas and Ilocos. However, Mhar had to consider budget and schedule issues and I thought we can probably go somewhere not very far to cut on travel time and plane tickets so We were back to choosing between Puerto Galera or Hundred Islands. Since two years ago, I have already dreamt of staying in Amihan Villa should we push for Puerto, I looked at it on the internet again and said "I really want to go to this place". I booked online through Agoda.com and used my prepaid Mastercard, I was very confident of my decision as I also asked for Mhar's consent. He was like "we can give it a try, Beb". We arrived at Amihan Villa around 3PM and we were greeted and assisted by a male staff. Miss Gemma gave us Iced Tea for complimentary drinks and we were refreshed, she's very warm and friendly and speaks well. After a few minutes, we were brought to our room which was very spacious and clean. We loved everything about it especially the wifi connection. Maybe, we could have used the bath tub but there was ni water that time. The pool, although not very clean and not filled up with water was enough for us to take a dip for an hour but it should be kept clean and flowing all the time. The garden could get some watering for the grasses and shrubs to stay green so it's more vibrant and fresh. Our breakfast were awesome, always warm and nice tasting coffee and hot tea too! The beach of Aninuan which was 5 minutes from the villa was just splendid. It was quiet, clam and crystal clear water, we loved it. The staff of the villa were nice and caring, they were quick at what we needed. I would recommend this place to friends and we wanna come back soon!

    Superb Villa”

Tranquil Ambiance, Spacious Room, Friendly Staffs

Our 2D/3N stay at Amihan Villa was superb. Though the villa is situated in an uphill area, it is still nearby the three known beaches of Mindoro (Animuan, Talipanan and White beach). After hours of travel from Manila, the resident manager of the hotel welcomed us with free mango juice drinks. The reserved room is roomy, clean, comfortable, with a veranda overlooking the sea, mountains and pool. It has spacious bathroom with hot and cold showers with strong water pressure and a bath tub. We can smell the fresh air / sea breeze and hear the sounds of the waves from the room. The villa offers a menu where a great deal of delicious food selections to choose from. Chosen foods were cooked and served hot in a matter of 10 mins; it can either be set-up in the villa's dining area or at the room veranda. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. Amihan Villa is one of the most superb place in Puerto Galera where you can spend your relaxing vacation at; choosing it is worth our money. If we are to spend our vacation in Puerto Galera, we will surely pick again Amihan Villa.

A great escape from the city”

breathtaking view, spacious room, pool, good food, nice tub

It was not my first time in Puerto Galera but Amihan was definitely a first, and the experience was just amazing. Situated on the side of a hill, all 5 rooms of Amihan Villa boasts its great view of the ocean and the surrounding greenery. Our room, located on the left side of the second level, is no exception. With its floor-to-ceiling sliding glass balcony door and the surrounding windows, you can see the ocean, the mountains, and the trees while lying in bed. If you want to feel the cool breeze, you can step out to the balcony and laze around. Nature is all around even in the toilet and bath area with its glass window. You can drop drown the blinds if you want privacy from the chirping birds outside. Aside from the view, we can't help but notice how huge the room is with its LCD TV as the focal point. You can fit another queen size bed or a small living area in one corner. From the main bedroom, there is a wooden sliding door that separates the toilet and bath area. Oh, how I love the white tub and the all-glass shower area – very chic and sleek. The wooden theme of the room gives you a very relaxing and homey vibe. For your beach experience, you may find it a little tedious to go down, cross the road, and walk through a secluded tree-lined path/dirt road. But it won't spoil the whole experience, believe me. After the 5-minute walk, voila, the ocean is right in front of you with its long stretch of sandy glory. For the night cap, you can take a dip in the infinity pool just in front of the villa. Or you can laze around on the lounge chairs and bathe in the starry sky. To sum things up, we really enjoyed our Amihan stay. We love the place, the food, the service. And we are definitely going back.

Among my Top 5 hotels to stay in Puerto Galera.”

Size of the room, indoor bath tub facing nature, food was amazing!

My boyfriend and I went to Amihan on a random weekend getaway, booking was fast (thanks Agoda!), not to mention the hotel reception was easy to contact for directions. A good thing to know before heading to Amihan is how much the commute route from your port is going to cost. We got off at White Beach and rode a tricycle going here (as advised by the hotel's staff member), it was over a hundred pesos if I remember it correctly. Although the pool wasn't as maintained as we expected it to be when we were there (it was half filled!), the rest of the hotel amenities made up for it. Their rooms were quite large (you get your own balcony, too!), and their food was amazing (their prawns are to die for). What I really enjoyed was the size of their bathrooms, as well as the indoor bath tub that was facing nature. It was the perfect weekend to relax and just be away from Manila. This hotel is perfect for staycations. If you're planning on soaking under the sun and swimming in the waters of Puerto Galera, I won't recommend this as this is bit far from the beach coast and going back and forth to White Beach is quite a bit of a hassle. But if you're opting for some private quality time with your loved ones and just want to enjoy nature's scenery, this is surely the hotel to pick.

    beautiful villa with spectacular views”

beautiful accommodation with very spacious rooms. A well maintained swimming pool and Jacuzzi. fantastic staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amihan villa. If your looking for the perfect getaway then this is it. Only 5 minutes trike ride from the popular white beach resort and the quiet aninuan beach, the villa nestled upon a ridge above the road. The villa looks exactly as it does on the website. It's beautiful and modern with spectacular views. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. Best of all as far as our daughter was concerned was the swimming pool which she spent hours in every day. There are 5 rooms at Amihan villa so there are never too many guests. Best of all are the staff who are friendly and always available. We will definitely return.

Nice resort on the mountain side with great views ”

    Friendly staff, good views, relaxing

This place is nice, very quiet, with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are well decorated and big. There are only 5 rooms so would be good for a group to take over the whole resort. good value for money, would recommend staying there especially if you want somewhere to relax away from the noise of White Beach. The beach closest to the hotel is about a 5 min walk and is the best and quietest beach on Puerto Galera and the new Italian restaurant Casa Mia 5 mins walk away too is probably the best restaurant on Puerto Galera.

    Staff, location and rooms

It is our first time in Puerto Galera. The location is fantastic with a stunning view. We were overwhelmed by their accommodating and friendly staff. The room is very clean with IKEA pillows which I really love. The bathroom is nice and modernized. The room is big and cozy. I've been in different places and hotels all over the Philippines and overseas yet this is the most friendly and accommodating hotel i've ever been. Two thumbs Up. We had a great stay! Lovely small "hotel" situated in the hillside”

great rooms, nice staff and perfect view

Nicely situated a bit off Puerto Galera and White Beach, near Aninuan Beach, this is a small hidden gem with only 5 rooms available. Thus, it is a rather intimate experience, with the main hall and café/restaurant is located right in the middle, next to the upstairs rooms. That means that you're interacting quite closely with the staff, which is very nice and helpful. The drawback of this is, that you should be prepared to wake up (not sooo) early when breakfast is prepared around 7 to 8 o'clock. The included continental breafkast is pretty much nothing (just toast, butter and marmelade plus coffee/tea), so ordering an additional breafkast is more or less mandatory. The rooms are very spacious and are designed in a nice minimalsitic design and with a great comfort room including a shower AND a bathtub. Watch out for some animals, like the geckos at the wall or some spiders behind the mirror (yes, you will be close to the philippine nature). All in all one of the most pleasant experiences in the philippine, just be prepared for some things written above.

    a dwelling place for respite

As it is situated on top of a hill, a clear pathway provides its guests for a comfortable hike. You can ring the bell at the gate so that the staff may help you with your baggage. Cold drinks are served when we arrived. One thing noticeable is that Gemma, the concierge, speaks very good English. And the staff is friendly and accommodating. I am very grateful that the villa looks the same as that of the photos provided by Agoda – the booking channel for which we have made our reservation. I am pleased with the spacious room, the balcony, the view, the pool, the food, the staff and the silence it brings to introverts like me. View and Room condition

It's a located on the hill, so has very nice view. I think this villa is the best on top in Puerto Galera. However, couldn't find entry easily, cause don't have any signpost, hotel's billboard. Also, too many stairs to walk way to villa, but I liked the stairs. It seems like old people are work hard. Room is cleaned, but didn't have refrigerator. If you want to use it, you could use staff's. And I want to say thank you to owner. She brought us to port by her car. Thanks to all staffs.

    Relaxing!”

    Views, service, ambience

If you privacy and quiet places, then Amihan Villa is for you. The villa has only 5 North-facing rooms with sunset views on the balconies. We had a good time relaxing on the balcony while the kids played in the common lounge area where meals were served. We hardly ever saw the other guests, and it is very likely that you will have the pool to yourself too. Cons: Toiletries are not ok, bring your own. Bathroom needs a bit of a refresh as the rain and hand showers need replacing soon. This place may not be for older people as there is a bit of a climb from the road-- be sure to get the villa's number from their website and call ahead of your arrival so that they can have porters waiting for you at the roadside. Pros: The views! They make the climb up the steps worth it. The room has a tub and hand shower which makes it easy to bathe small kids. The staff are very accommodating. One of them even chased after our kids because he thought they were unaccompanied (he didn't see me right away). They also arranged for our return trip (tricycle to Muelle and boat to Batangas Port). Take note though, Amihan Villa is NOT a beach-front resort. You can walk down to Aninuan Beach in 5 to 10 minutes. It is very clean and private and there are no vendors!

remote location, friendly staff, great food, good room features

We had a lovely stay at amihan villa. The staff was so nice and helpful, although make sure you go to them and ask if you want something done or need anything. Room was large and had amazing features (AC, satellite TV) for being in the middle of a small island in the philippines. It was nice to go the tourist white beach or also a close private beach nearby. The food was also very good and the menu has quite the selection for a small hotel. It wasn't on white beach which is nice because it was more peaceful and only a short tricycle ride (about 2 USD) ride away

The place is like renting a private house. You have excellent homelike service. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has amazing views of the Aninuan bay and is a very quiet and relaxing place to spend a few days. I have stayed there a couple of times and the only thing that I didnt like is that the pool was not in good shape, it was dirty and half filled. Another inconvenience for some people is that the access can be a bit complicated due to the steep stairs to reach the lobby from the street.
