Clean and modern hotel with many conveniences”

Kitchenette and washer/dryer available, convenient location, modern and spacious rooms

We had a great time at Amora. The room was large and spacious and had a kitchenette and washer/dryer, which you hardly find in hotels. However, the kitchenette had incomplete cutlery and dishes for a room for two people. The location was also very convenient--only a 5 minute walk to K Rd and 10 mins to the main shopping belt. We would come back to Amora if we were to visit Auckland again.

Well positioned hotel to CBD, shopping, motorway”

Good service, room layout and restaurant

Efficient checkin and out. We had a quiet room well away from city noise and service areas. The restaurant meal was excellent as was the service and indoor/outdoor flow on a very hot Auckland evening. We enjoyed our room - spacious, but since the hotel is older, had to use a free standing air-conditioner, which was adequate but noisy and therefore not used during the night. We would definitely stay at this hotel again but as New Zealanders resent having to pay for hotel parking (since many other places don't charge).

Excellent location”

Location, quiet and comfortable room

My stay at the Amora Hotel is normally good. The location suits me as it is in the same street as my company's head office. The price is resonable and the Amora Hotel is my company's preferred hotel in both Auckland and Wellington.

Comfortable and Convenient”

Easy walking distance from Aotea square, Queen Street, Karangahape Road

Good size rooms with mini kitchen and optional spa bath. Pleasantly located on quiet tree-line street next to Meyers Park but still has easy walking access to centre of Auckland. Car parking in underground garage with lift access to rooms - well priced at $15 per day. Not so impressed with same charge for in-room internet access. It's not even wireless. It is not acceptable for hotels to make huge charges for internet access anymore. It's like charging for the fridge or TV. Fortunately there are lots of internet cafes in the vicinity.

Very tidy, reasonable sized rooms, good value!!

This was the third time we have stayed at amora in the last year. I rate it as one of the better hotels in central auckland. The rooms are in good condition, always tidy, and a reasonable size. I would recommend this to anyone i know. We have always had good service and i have no complaints about any of our stays.

Located in a quiet street

I travel to Auckland for work every fortnight and the Amora Hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from my office. The location is excellent for me. It's in a nice quiet street and if staying in one of the higher levels, the views are fantastic!

We will definitely try to stay here again when we are next overnighting in Auckland. The room was excellent value, quiet and clean with good bed for sound nights sleep. Kitchenette and bathroom all seemed spotless. This hotel is just what it purports to be, great value in a pretty central location. Friendly staff and ok parking.

This is our first time to Auckland. It located behind the Mayers Park. It's just you have to go uphill to the hotel, since Auckland has many hills even in the city. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, just the breakfast was the same throughout the stay. Maybe you can consider to change?

Great room”

Comfortable kingsize bed, big bathtub, central location

We stayed for one night and went dinging, shopping and sight-seeing in Auckland. With us was our three-year-old sun. The kingsize bed was big enough for all four of us, but he wanted to sleep on the couch. The room had a huge bathtub, and the bathroom opened towards the room when wooden screenes were folded away. The room also had great kitchen facilities (big fridge, microwave, stove, toaster, coffee plunger, water boiler), and a washing machine. We had a balcony towards a park with a playground. There was also a swimming pool outside, but unfortunately it was closed. Parking cost 20 NZD per day, but was in a garage. Wonderful room with luxurious feel.

Balcony, comfy bed

overall, my stay at the amora was great. the staff were relatively helpful. the pool was lovely and the spa had two jets but was disappointed as they didn't jet air. the temperature was perfect though! the bed was incredibly comfortable, i had a good night's sleep every night. it was quiet. the balcony was a great size and i enjoyed that. the room was quite modern. the air con was not ducted/split system, it was actually a portable air con. i didn't expect that. not sure how well it works as i didn't need to use it during my stay. i did have one meal at the restaurant and it was quite nice. the windows were really dirty! no breakfast included in stay. i would definitely stay there again in future.
