great location, great staff”
We came back for the 4. time to this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great for walking to restaurants, pubs or markets, as well as for driving with the rental car to the outskirts of Chiang Mai. We can recommend this hotel and we will be back!
Location is good near the night market Please sign the main traffic Road”
WiFi speed is too slow swimming pools not clean
I have stayed here several times b4. Modern, clean comfortable hotel centrally located. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Nice hotel at great location.”
My business takes me to Chiang Mai often, and the Amora is one of a the hotels where I like to stay. Friendly staff, quick check-in, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Nice pool area. Fitness room is outdated and needs some renovation and new equipment. Happy to come back again!!
Great location! ”
Great location. It was an old hotel but they have renovated their rooms recently and it made a huge difference. All looked cleaner and more modern now. Hopefully the hotel management will keep up the current standards. Location is great especially for Sunday walking street. The hotel spa is also awesome. The customer service standard displayed by front line staff still has much room for improvements which would then probably make this hotel excels other similarly priced hotels in Chiang Mai.

We stayed in room for 2 nights on 8/F. The view is good. Within walking distance, there are a lot of different types of restaurants. Apart from public transport, there is free shuttle departing from this hotel for 2 big shopping malls, the Central Festival and the Airport Central Plaza. But the shower of our room was a bit weak and there was no hot water at about 11 pm. We had to phone the receptionist and wait for about 10 mins for getting the hot water, that was totally unacceptable. Having said that, the staff are very polite and helpful.
A great hotel with friendly staff”
I love this hotel - have stayed here about 6 times so far and it has never let me down. Clean spacious rooms, friendly, competent staff, great breakfast, ideal location just a 2 minute walk from Thapae Gate, car and motor cycle rental shops, Sunday night market, Starbucks etc
The room is clean and decent sized. Have been staying at this hotel a few times already, and it's valued for money. Great for a short stay or overnight if you are looking somewhere cheap and sort of central.
Hotel and rooms clean Pool looked nice and clean on shady side in the afternoon rest location and quiet Air Con issues kept shutting off in the night reset x3 then finally fixed did offer room change for last nite Breakfast mediocre no bacon fruit green and very plain No pineapple or papaya Jam regular when that area is known for its passion fruit and avocado Coffee was ok Good for a mid budget travelker
Hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of many restaurants and tourist attractions. Also less than a 15 minute ride from the airport. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside was the WiFi wasn't great and cut out several times, but overall we had an enjoyable stay here.
Dirty Bed... OMG... first time in 20 years ”
We opened the bed to find pubic hairs, body hair and food particles. Very sad that a quality hotel would not check up on their Staff. We were moved to a dffrnt Suite w thanks. I wonder how many others slept in dirty and unclean beds. Please release these kind of lazy staff and hire honorable people. Dr Angel
average hotel but worth for value”
not a great luxurious hotel, mostly guest occupancy is Chinese so expect a Chinese breakfast and not continental. amazing location, city view was good from rooms, but room looked very average. rooms were a bit noisy, esp people passing through passage. Service was very good. indeed I got a very old bedsheet with some holes in it andupon complaint they took it very seriously and replaced immediately.. so no doubt about the service.
Things were quite nice here. The breakfast was not too special, however, and they had a limited number of English stations on the T.V. I don't care to get my news from FOX. My wife fell on the steps going from the lobby to the parking lot and hurt her back quite badly.
Very nice hotel in a convenient location near Thapae Gate. Decent size clean rooms, with good aircon and showers. Efficient service. Good value. Short walk to the old city, about 15 minutes walk to the Night markets.
This is a small hotel on three floors on a small side street just a block off of the moat road, about a five-minute walk to Tha Pae Gate and the main tourist area of town. Very close to abundant resta”
Overall, this was an OK boutique hotel, the room was very clean and a nice mix of modern and Thai decor. I loved the dark wood inside the room. The room does lack a bit of natural light but this didnt bother me as we really only spent time in the room to sleep or take a time out
Good hotel in Chiang Mai”
The Amora is in a good location near Tha Phae gate. The rooms are of a good size - and the one I stayed in had views over the city. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The aircon works well and is not noisy. The staff are friendly. Value for money.
A very good location. Not far from airport. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, night market, Sunday market n convenient stores. The single beds were rather springy otherwise ok. Breakfast good spread.
Good hotel, good location”
We stayed for 3 nights in September on the top floor of the hotel. The room was spacious, clean with excellent view. The hotel is very close to Tapae gate, a busy tourist area. There are convenient stores nearby. The staff is professional and polite. There is a free hotel car park for your rented car. I would go back to stay here again.
Our stay at the Amora Thapae”
Stayed at this hotel many times, lovely room, good hotel but very disappointed in the breakfast to say the least. Inedible for westerners, scrambled eggs were made with water, waffles no taste and bread pudding - binned it! Not enough choice for westerners.
