amorita is the paradise, highly recommend”

Friendly staff, good food, relaxing atmosphere

When we went into the Ocean Villa, our room is so beautiful, the scene in front of the room is fantastic too, (I wish the pool was bigger though). During our 4day of stay, we enjoyed our breakfast buffet every morning, the selection was huge, range from bread to cereal to fruit to salad to sausage to etc…, The staff in Amorita they explain to every question which we ask about bohol, even the language and customs. We book the chocolate-hill tour from Amorita, the price was not too much more from others, and our driver/tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable, especially he took very nice pictures for us! The other tour which is the Balicasag Island Tour, Amorita’s price is 4000pesos, but Jet-Ski’s Larry only charge 1500pesos, I highly recommend Amorita work with Larry next time, he’s so nice and trustworthy!! The staffs in Amorita are extremely friendly, that whenever you walk pass by, they will stop whatever they’re doing to greet you. And whenever we walk out of the room, they clean our room again and bring some cookies. I want to especially thank Cathy, Jesse and my singing-friend in the restaurant, since they help us to setup the romantic dinner. To sum up, Amorita is one of the best resort we ever been to, with great food and friendly people, and relaxing atmosphere, it is the perfect choice for whoever want to escape from the big city to calm down one’s heart. If I have to pick out 1thing to improve on, I hope that the ocean villa is totally private (block away) from the other ocean villa.

    Beautiful hotel in beautiful beach”

5 star resort, friendly staff, great location

My wife and i stayed in Amorita Resort over the weekend and we arrived to a beautiful resort in Panglao Island. Although the resort is not on the beachfront, the resort is situated on a cliff overlooking the beach similar to Bvlgari Resort in Uluwatu, Bali. Upon arriving we were greeted to complimentary drinks and were whisked to our room. The room we stayed at was a deluxe but it was spacious enough because it had two double beds. They even spelled out happy anniversary on our bed and had two dogs folded from towels (nice touch) and had cookies and fruits on the table. Breakfast is never the same which i appreciated and the Saffron Restaurant serves superb food. Try the burger and the kare-kare. Overall, i cannot simply find any fault staying at Amorita. A bit expensive compared to nearby resorts but its well worth it.

    Excellent service, accomodations & location”

    Accomodations, Service & Security
    None

After arriving at Amorita, I knew that I had made the right choice. The accomodations were top notch by western standards. The rooms were clean and looked just like the pictures on the Amorita web site. The bathroom facilities were new, clean and built to western standards. I really think this place is a bargain considering the incredible level of service offered. This would cost so much more in the USA or Europe. It seemed that there was more than one staff to each guest. I never had to look for someone to ask for anything. The food was also a bargain costing only for most entrees. I really liked the seafood and italian offered at the Saffron. The location was very scenic overlooking alona beach. If you stay at the Amorita you will also note that it is the most secure location to stay on Panglao Island. The front gate is staffed with security. The beach entrance opens from a rock cliff and is also staffed with security. If you are an American or European going to Panglao Island, stay at the Amorita.

By far the best resort in Bohol”

I've been to Bohol several times in the past few years and I always choose to stay close to Alona Beach because it has that good balance of both relaxation, peace (with a gorgeous white sand beach), and a bit of fun and activity (not TOO quiet, boring or empty). The Amorita Resort is by far the best resort I've stayed at in Bohol - and I can say it could be one of the best in the Philippines as well. The layout, design and architecture of the resort on the cliff is like no other. The views are breathtaking and access to the white beach is just a few steps away via a secure staircase. The infinity pools are gorgeous and the decks offer a very nice place to get some sun for the day. The rooms are gorgeous. Industrial designed modern lofts that have minimalist fixtures and lavish bathrooms, and a huge balcony facing the garden view. The minibar is well stocked, free, and is replenished everyday. Food is definitely also a highlight, from the breakfast buffet to the ala carte specials (try the grilled pork chops!), while the bar offers a great buy-one-take-one happy hour deal from 3-7pm. There are many things to see and do on the resort itself (it's huge) like exploring the hidden cove, multiple infinity pools, table tennis, viewing decks, biking, and hammock spots to name a few. And the staff is very well-trained, helpful, and pleasant - they even leave you personalised notes each day in your room. I can go on more about this resort, but in the end, it's definitely worth the expense. I leave the rest to your experience. Highly recommended.

exceellent hotel with a great location”

great landscaping, location is walking distance to resturants on the beach, the swimming pool has a great view of the ocean

We were very fortunate to have selected the Amorita Resort, being not familiar with Panglao Island. The rooms are very new and clean with excellent services. We had just stayed at the Shangri-La Mactan Island in Cebu and the Amorita Resort is a scaled down version of the Shangri-La, not in the same class but it is just a fantastic placeto stay. The landscaping is done very nicely, providing a relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay there again on my next visit. The location, service, and atmosphere is just superb for the location. The buffet breakfest was also good.

Absolutely Stunning Resort! Very Tranquil, Relaxing & Fantastic Customer Service!”

I walked into the resort to check out the view for the sunset drinks. I was stunned with the oh-so-amazing location.I met Prime and Sherwin, who then very accommodating even they knew I am not staying at the resort. I had a very interesting conversation with them two which unfortunately I did not get from the other "5 Star Luxury Resort" I am currently staying at that time. I was convinced that aside from the great facilities and pure relaxation I will experience, I will get a truthful 5 Star Customer Service which neglected by the other resort. Myself and my husband decided to stay at Amorita. We admire everyone has put their heart and soul in their assigned task. Thank you very much Prime (Front Desk), Sherwin, Rob (Saffron), Raymond for letting us experience your so-called "Barefoot Luxury". To their future & possible guest(s): Location: If you are looking for a pure relaxation, this is the best place to be. If you fancy having a great night too, the resort was just 5-10 minutes walk from other hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclub. Our mistake, we thought that the resort is super quiet and isolated but, we realized we can have and enjoy a bit of both. We wished we stayed at this resort for our entire stay in Panglao, Bohol. Room: Cozy Minimalist. It's like a home with style and character. Food: It was superb. You must try the Tuna Kilawin. Internet: Fast and strong. Pools: Heated, picturesque view, very comfortable sun bed (not just an ordinary sun bed)

    amazing”

Stayed in the garden pool villa. The room was beyond expectations, very clean, very private, the pool was very nice and clean. The staff....well I can't say enough great things about them. The staff was always very polite, helpful, and going above and beyond there duties. The villa supervisor, Bryan, was always there to answer any questions we had, along with helping us plan activities. Rob and Leo always made us feel welcomed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The manager, Noel, was on hand and greeting guests as friends and not as customers. He would take time to say hi and talk to all the guests. He is open to all concerns, complaints, and suggestions for the resort. The resort has many functions for the guests such as sunset cocktails on the cliff side deck for all guests. Friday nights grill night and live entertainment. If your looking for a place in Bohol to have a romantic getaway then I highly suggest the Amorita resort. I also highly recommend the pool villas, they are amazing. Thank you to all Amorita staff and management, everyone made our vacation perfect.

Amazing food at Saffron Restaurant, awesome staff, great location

Amorita Resort is definately the hotel of choice on Panglao Island. Far superior than other resorts on offer. The villas come with plunge pool and large lounge/bedrooms, separate toilet and gorgeous outdoor shower. Be prepared for tropical weather, showers one minute perfect sunshine the next. The food at Saffron Restaurant was the best we had while travelling throughout the Philippines (big call I know!). Staff are friendly and very attentive.

    Perfect!”

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in Panglao, far from the madding crowd, then Amorita is the perfect place. It was exactly what my friend and I needed. Staff was friendly in an unobtrusive way, and they all looked beautiful and dignified! I loved the little treats and the notes they left in our room everyday, and the little parting gift of a fan and cookies we received before our departure was just charming. While Amorita doesn't have a sandy beach, it has an alcove that you access by going down a flight of stairs, and it's very secluded. Alona Beach is nearby, and you also go down a flight of stairs to get to it and its bars and restaurants. There is another hotel along Alona Beach that's about the same price range as Amorita, but it has a lot more clients and going there will probably not make for a restful stay, if that's what one is after.

Friendly, courteous staff, service-oriented, clean rooms

when we had gotten out of the airport, we were greeted with courteous staff from amorita. i'm grateful to amorita. i only requested for a baby cot but without my asking, they added a bottle sterilizer and a baby bath tub! we booked with amorita a bohol tour which lasted from 9am to 4pm. the bohol tour is quite tiring for my kids ages 9, 5 and 1. but they enjoyed most of it - tarsier, chocolate hills and the loboc river lunch. when we got back to the hotel, we were surprised to see a note from the general manager, acknowledging that the trip was indeed tiring but hopefully we enjoyed it and with that note, we had sandwiches and cookies to fill us up. amazing! you'll never go hungry but note that that there's only one restaurant in amorita. still, we will definitely go back here :)highly recommended!

    Staff, food, proximity to ocean

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Amorita. The staff there were incredibly friendly and nice and in the end made our stay memorable. The resort sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean with easy access to the Alona beach. The hotel has a dive shop on premise that rents snorkel and scuba gear. The staff there were very nice and friendly. Many others have noted some observations that we would agree with. I would say that in general during our two week stay in the Philippines at three highly rated hotels that the general construction and details (tile grouting in bathrooms, furniture, and others) are not on par with what you would see at comparable highly rated hotels in the US. Yes, the deck by the pool was worn. The room we stayed in was a bit dated. With that said, in the end it did not really matter. The service made up for it all in our opinion. Additionally, we were quite pleased with the quality and diversity of the food. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was part of our room package. The hotel offered a grilled buffet one evening that was nice. Additionally, Amorita is in process of a phase II which I learned will add a new pool and will feature a two story restaurant which will take advantage of the views. I assume that this will address some of the comments of guests. With my qualification to temper expectations of US guests, I would highly recommend Amorita and would definitely return.

    Exceptional stay at Amorita”

It’s my first time to Bohol and it’s the worthiest part of trip. Amorita offers a private and relaxing atmosphere. The room I stayed is Junior Suite which is located 1st floor with balcony. We can see the main restaurant and part of see at balcony. This package includes welcome drinks, breakfast, dessert and handmade cookies everyday. The resort offers the good place for spa and bath with fair price and free snorkeling activity come with coach. Breakfast is buffet style but much not choices; however, the in room service is great, especially the club sandwich and the fries! Besides, it’s easy to get the restaurant or food stand or Spa outside of resort. The staff here are very polite and friendly. We lost e-cigarette at lobby at the 1st day and no one saw it. A stuff Ardy kept it in mind and return it before we checked out. Sweet! Few suggestions to the resort: 1. WiFi service must be stable 2. Bed condition (bed frame and bedside table) 3. In room service time could extend to 11pm

    Friendly Staff, Villa, Pools

We loved our stay at Amorita. Our villa is lovely with its own small covered pool, garden, gate. Wish this private pool is heated though, like a jacuzzi type. I would have stayed in there all day with the kids. They only have 1 restaurant outlet but you can always go down the beach strip and explore their "little Boracay". They also have activities for the guests like you can sign up for a gastronomic tour. You wont be able to venture around and see the tourist spots in Bohol on your own, you will need to get everything arranged at the resort and just hire a van. Its more convenient that way. The sights are far from eachother and you will need at least 2 full days to see everything. We will definitely go back to Amorita! Love love love this resort.

Our family enjoyed our stay in Amorita, the room was big, can accommodate up to four persons, the service was efficient and the view was a sight to behold. Nature has gifted our country with one of the best beaches in the world and Bohol is one of my favorite places to visit. everything you could want in a Bohol vacation”

Amazing staff, great services, wonderful location.

Stayed in Amorita Resort two of the nights. Every bit of my experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was unbelievably friendly and nice, the breakfast buffet was wonderful, the location is prime (literally part of Alona Beach), great security, comfortable rooms, nice pool, really I couldn't find a fault. My partner and I were a little underwhelmed by the dinner we had there, but it was only because we'd had the free breakfast buffet and were so pleased with that. Also, there were a fair amount of tiny ants in the room, but I mean it's a resort literally on a beach, so I can't really complain about that. We had drinks at the pool, massages in our rooms, and experienced everything else we could (sans scuba diving) and the quality level of it all at Amorita was top notch. Would recommend it wholeheartedly.

    Couldn't ask for more”

Amorita was the ideal location for a family holiday on this beautiful island. Food, room, premises, amenities and staff were all excellent. We stayed in a 1BR suite and it was ample space for our family. Every dish we had in the restaurant was delicious. You have the choice of 2 pools and beach access on the main, Alona Beach, or a small undeveloped cove on the other end of the property. Every day was an adventure for our 2 year old son. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests, as we are admittedly demanding travelers. Amorita pays attention to details, and it's the small things you remember during your stay--the personalized notes and cookies sent for kids at bedtime, the general manager visiting every table during dinner, the bottle sterilizer and baby bath left in our room without having asked. Kids pool was out of order upon arrival and within a day they had a full team working to remedy the issue. We've lived in the Philippines long enough to know that things inevitably go wrong, but it's the team's response to problems that makes this hotel stand out. It's nice to have Alona Beach nearby for those having a longer stay, but we honestly didn't find much attractive there. It was noisy and not nearly as pretty as Amorita's location, despite the hotel not being beachfront. Gorgeous peace and quiet are this hotel's speciality.

    Tropical Paradise”

Warm welcoming staff... Awesome view of Alona Beach... Very comfortable rooms

We stayed at the Garden Villa for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay in Panglao. Located overlooking Alona Beach, Amorita Resort gives you a commanding view of the beach and accessibility to the establishments located there but with the quiet calm of the exclusive resort. Will definitely go back to Amorita Resort with our daughter.

Amazing location - Suites are worth the upgrade”

    Location, swimming pools (x3), ambience

We really enjoyed our stay at the Amorita - we splashed out as we had wanted to stay here for a while. We paid for a suit room, something I would definitely recommend, the standard rooms are not worth the money but the suites are in a different league. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we enjoyed swimming in the pools and lazing looking out to sea. It's nice to be right on the beach but also on the cliff over-looking it rather than engulfed in all of the noise. The only thing that was disappointing were the breakfasts and the food. Considering you can just walk down a few steps and be at a range of restaurants that charge about half the price Amorita need to review their food and beverage prices. Although the food was good quality, the portions were smaller and you were paying at least double what we paid on the beach. We only ate here a couple of times and we stayed for 4 nights. We even skipped breakfast and went to the beach as service for the egg station was slow and we could get better quality at nearby restaurants. Saying that, overall, Amorita is luxurious and well worth the money if you want to splash out. We're glad we stayed and will probably stay again at some point - we just won't eat there!

    absolutely divine!”

Customer service, Staff know you by your first name, Great food, Great facilities, gorgeous location

The resort is perched on a cliff overlooking the gorgeous beachfront. Only 10 steps down and you're on the beachfront, very convenient. Beautiful view of the water and sunset from the resort's restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. The best thing about the resort is the Customer Service - just impeccable! The staff greet you without fail each and every time they see you and they greet you by your first name, which in this day and age is extremely rare. The room is tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Transport service is very very good and comfortable. Overall, 10 out of 10. If you go to Bohol, stay in Amorita.
