Brilliant!”
So yes, the rooms are small, and there is the issue where the shower curtain doesn't quite reach the floor. The first issue is no big deal. You are visiting a city that is very, very old and very, very packed. Space is at a premium and you will pay out the you-know-what for every square foot you take up. So get over it. The thing with the shower curtain... really, I just thought it was kind of funny, it certainly didn't ruin my experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Amsterdam Hotel. The front desk staff was amazing. Very friendly and very accommodating. The closeness to Earl's Court station made our commutes all over London so easy... brilliant! We had absolutely no issue with thin walls and hearing our neighbors every footstep or cough; it was very quiet for us. I think we got really lucky; for our 7-day stay, London had blue skies, a light breeze, and stayed around 55 degrees (Fahrenheit) the whole time. So, we slept with the window open the entire time. Again, no noise from the tube or loud night clubs... just regular big city noise that was muted by the huge trees in the courtyard outside our window. Breakfast was tasty, but we only ate it once... too much to do and see. Plus, most pubs serve breakfast further into the city. Overall, the Amsterdam was very, very good value for the money, clean, VERY convenient, with friendly and attentive staff. I seriously don't understand the few bad reviews on here.

Perfect for our family's needs”
It's hard to find a "family room" at a reasonable price close to the heart of London so this was a great find. We stayed in the ground floor family room which was charming-- The "parent's area" with comfy double bed is on one level of the room, and there's a loft for the kids with two twin beds up a tiny staircase. Very clean, and cute decor in yellow and blue florals. We had a lot of luggage and there was room for it all. Flat screen TV, desk with chair-- and so close to the Earls Court tube station, less than a block and a half away. But because it's down a side street from the main street of Earl's Court, it's a quiet location. Also within a very short walk to a lot of restaurants including a McDonald's that's open very late, which came in handy with our busy schedule. Breakfast is mostly cereals, fruit, toast and breakfast cake, plus beverages, but that was fine because it was free! There's a Starbucks nearby in case anyone needs something else for breakfast.

Pleasant stay”
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was ready even though we arrived early. We were also allowed to store our luggage upon check out for convenience. The tube station is really near, just have to cross a small street. And location wise it is very good too- Earls Court is very accessible, and there's elevator at the tube station making it easy to travel with luggage. There is also a lift in the hotel, albeit small but I liked the antique feel to it, unique indeed. The room is really spacious and clean, so was the bathroom There's plenty of good food around the corner, lots of halal food as well- including the KFC, kebabs. Non halal options included Gourmet Burger Kitchen. The breakfast at the hotel was simple continental- toast, beans, croissants, cornflakes mostly. There's also cooked option with additional £5. My family enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Value for money”
This hotel is located within a hop away from Earls Court Tube station. Hotel and continental breakfast were minimal but for the price paid, is value for money. Room was relatively spacious, although our bathroom floods when bathing. What stood out was the outstanding service rendered by the receptionist (didnt manage to get his name, but appears to be of south asian origin), who was very friendly and accomodating. Thumbs up for him!

Couldn´t ask for more. Clean rooms, very helpful and engaged staff. Special thanks to Barbara (in reception). She is always friendly, smiling and trying to help to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Everything worked out fine and we`ll for sure be back. We have stayed in many hotels in London, but The Amsterdam hotel is our best stay so far.

Very Nice Stay in Earl's Court”
The Amsterdam Hotel was lovely, and located very close to the Earl's Court station. There's a CoOp Food Store very close, as well as a number of good looking restaurants. We had the family room, which was large enough, well maintained and very clean. The desk staff was very pleasant and there was a lift to get our large bags into the basement. Breakfast was very simple (cereal, toast, juice and beans). All in all a very nice stay, we were quite comfortable.

Friendly service in a great location”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Amsterdam Hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful, they really made us feel at home. The hotel is only 1 minute's walk from Earl's Court tube station, which makes it easy to get into the centre of London. Our room was a decent size (for London), and for the price we got through Agoda (about £70 per night for a double) was good value. I'd be less impressed if we had paid the full £140 rate, due to things like a very small TV, and no lift. However in London, we'd go back every time.

Perfect location!”
Room was a bit squeezy but able to fit enough for our whole stay in London. Breakfast was limited but we aren't fussy travellers so we made do with it. Location was perfect as it was very near to Earl's Court station. Our whole stay was comfortable. We wouldn't mind coming back here to stay in our future visit.

Compact convenient quaint”
Stayed a week for work and training. Staff were friendly and flexible with allowing me to borrow their pantry microwave for heating up food. The location is really prime, just 5 mins from earls court tube station. Breakfast spread included in the rate was really of a respectable variety. Only slight disappointment was the lack of hot food which comes at an additional 5 pounds. Hotel is slightly old but well maintained and quite comfortable. There's a really tiny and funky lift as well so you dont need to be lug your suitcase up so many flights of stairs. Overall its a really good option for the price.

A pleasant stay”
The hotel is just round the corner from the Earl's Court underground station. Other than underground, you can also take buses from the hotel to different attractions like Harrods, Natural History Museum, Hyde Park etc. If reaching the hotel from Heathrow, just take Piccadilly line and you don't have to change the line. The brakfast is basic but enough. There is a small evalator in the hotel, just big enough for two people. We booked a twin room but I thought they got us a triple room since there were a double bed and a single bed, which was a bonus. The staff were nice and helpful with our luggage. Overall it's worth the money and I would come back again.

Highly recommend hotel”
Well located near to tube stations. Also easy access to bus stops where it bring us to the places we need to go. Breakfast was simple, but good enough to fill up the stomach. As we have young children, the front desk recommended us a ground floor room with a sweet double storey beds for the children. They simply love it. The front desk lady was extremely helpful. When we approached her for directions to places, she search on the net and even printed us the google maps with directions. She even offered to help us with our luggages, even though she was quite petite in size. She has certainly enhance our overall experience in Amsterdam.

Will book again”
I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The location is terrific! I have stayed at perhaps 10 of the thousands of white columned bed & breakfast hotels that line London's streets. This was one of my favorites. I did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment on its quality, but this form will not let me pass on the question -so I gave it a 5 as a courtesy because I like that they offer a cooked breakfast (if you order it the day before) in addition to the continental rolls and tea. I do wish they had sprung for a larger tv in the room. A 15"(?) screen is very difficult to read.

Great hotel”
Breakfast (continental) was very good. Room was larger than I thought it was going to be based on other reviews (remember this is London people!) Convenient to the tube and central London. Nice furnishings, friendly staff. Door to bathroom knocked off the front door's hinges when opened fully (didn't bother us at all)

Good hotel with good service”
the hotel was good, the room is clean, but too bad the bathroom is a bit small. the service in the hotel is very good. we could get into the room when we arrived at 11 o'clock. the receptionist was also very helpful with our luggage. also he gave us good advice on how to travel in london with the tube and buses. the hotel location is also surrounded with lots of supermarket and restaurant and cafes.

Convenient stay”
For a budget hotel it was a good deal. The staff is totally not efficient. They even forgot to hand in my laundry and was not bothered. Breakfast is crap and one of the staff was very rude. Most food items (out of the few available food items in buffet) are not filled in including milk and tea. I hv stayed at many budget hotel and relatively better, is Amsterdam :) the rooms are modern, bathroom comparatively spacious; room design is efficient although small.
