If you have the money, it's easily worth it!”
excellent hotel. the location in downtown hiroshima is perfect for sightseeing, the peace memorial park and shopping streets being located a 5 minute walk away, in opposite directions. i personally enjoyed the free gym every day, and though it was not equipped with free weights, good gyms are hard to find in japan so the experience was pleasant enough, and one of the main reasons i wanted to stay at the specific hotel. the lobby restaurant the fruitier offered very affordable breakfast and dinner buffets at yen respectively. the price is justifiable by the quality and variety of food available. the room was clean and comfortable, with a standard priced mini bar i didn't use as well as a water boiler and a free and replenishable assortment of instant coffees and teas. those were put to good use. also some sleeping gadgets and a bath powder were offered. my only complaint concerned the internet connection, which was not completely reliable on any day, probably due to the intense amount of traffic around the hotel. i felt that a connection of that quality should not belong in that very type of hotel. that being said, i would heartily recommend the crowne plaza hiroshima for anyone willing to experience hiroshima.
Nice hotel and impeccable service”
it was our second visit to hiroshima and because of our previous enjoyable stay at crowne plaza ana in december 2010, we opted to stay at the same hotel again in december 2012. the staff are efficient, friendly and attentive. the minute we entered the hotel, service staff were there to lead us to the reception for checking in. the hotel is situated not too far from the train station, it cost approximately to the hotel. hotel is within a short walk to the peace park and musem. also, the shopping and dining are a stone throw away. the street along the hotel is beautifully and artistically lighted up at night with a christmas theme. we shall definitely stay at crowne plaza ana again.
Great hotel in Hiroshima”
We enjoyed our stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima where we stayed for five nights to attend a business conference and visit various companies and chambers of commerce. I will definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again when we go back to Hiroshima!
Smack bang in the middle of everywhere”
The staff at the ANA Crowne Plaza were helpful and courteous. They were quick to reply to our needs and ensured that our group was in neighbouring rooms. The only downside here was the food... It was SO expensive! This meant that we had to go hunting in the plethora of surrounding convenience stores for suitable meals as we were travelling on a budget. There were some local restaurants that were available however. Our major issue was my eleven year old. He is a fussy eater and no one, including the ANA, seemed to cater for children so he lived on bananas! One room also had no bed side lights, so it was full lighting or nothing! The hotel is well situated to the Peace Park and is in easy walking distance to buses and trams. There were also taxis available. The views were great and we were lucky to be there for the final night of a light show covering the street. A positive experience overall....
Comfortable stay in international hotel”
The ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima provided a comfortable oasis at the end of each day after exploring the city and its surroundings. Rooms are of a good size and include all basic necessities (plus English-speaking TV channels). The location in the centre of Hiroshima is a major strong-point - 10 minutes' walk to the Peace Park and downtown shopping area. All in all, a very solid hotel offering attractive room rates.
ANA Hotel in Hiroshima review”
I have nothing bad to say about the ANA hotel in Hiroshima. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff was very helpful, I believe I was basically able to walk anywhere that I was going from the hotel without having to bother with cabs (since they tend to be expensive in Japan). On top of that, the price was really affordable. Additionally, you get free breakfast coupons with your stay, which is pretty convenient.
While on a daytrip to Hiroshima, my wife had a medical emergency and had to have surgery at Hiroshima City Hospital. We ended up needing to extend our trip for an extra week and stay in Hiroshima for 6 days at this hotel while she recovered in the hospital. It was a difficult time for us but this hotel was absolutely fantastic. We had a club room and maybe that's part of it (the room was huge with a gorgeous view) but it truly made our situation more tolerable. The staff was fantastic in every request I had of them. The neighborhood was great and very walkable. We loved the underground tunnels and shops. While our initial plans were not to stay in Hiroshima, the city and this hotel now hold a special place in our hearts.
It was a nice stay at ANA Crown Plaza, Very Friendly Staff, Comfortable Room, also Best thing is Center of the city and easy to find,
Great short break in Hiroshima”
The ANA Crowne is situated just 5 minutes walk from the Peace Memorial Park and also, very close to ground zero. But it is also close to the main shopping district and convenient for public transport. The hotel itself is most pleasant with typically friendly and attentive staff.
Good location, near shopping center”
I appreciate all the services of the hotel. The service of reception assistance to foreigners as well. Clean rooms are equipped with all the standard. Its location close to shopping center. If I have opportunity to Hiroshima again, I would definitely stay at ANA.
Great starting point to explore Hiroshima!”
It was quite disappointing to learn after our arrival, that the hotel pool is not free of charge. The main reason we decided to stay in the Crowne Plaza ANA was because of the pool. Paying some 1500Yen per person and per day in addition to the room charge is not acceptable for a hotel which considers itself as a four star hotel. It should be clearly stated on Agoda`s website that the pool is not free of charge. Thanks!
Great location ”
It was my first time in Hiroshima. Its quite centrally located. Still have to walk a few minutes before the places of interest and streetcar but location is quiet. Enjoy my stay with ANA. Next time would like to choose back ANA.
Peaceful Crown PLaza ”
I enjoyed my stay with ANA CP, just a 5 minute walk over the bridge to peace park, were it stole my heart n soul I recommend anyone to go there and pay there respects and see the areas and many stories of the history of the Hiroshima Nuclear bomb never again they say Man is the most destructive on this planet
Wonderful service, location, and amenities”
We came to Hiroshima (I and my wife and 2 sond 15 and 17 year old) to rewind my past memories. 20 years ago I studied here and my sons also have interest in the destruction of atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima. When we came.. the staffs greets us so warm.. they take care our luggage, and its receptionist is so prompt.. cheched in in just 2 minutes and we were shown our room. the bellboy or should i say the belllady was so good in speaking English. She Showed and explained ab our rooms and the places we should go that night to have dinner. it was so friendly hotel.
Ok to reasonable.”
The first room we refused as it was worn out to say the least. The alternate selection was acceptable, although the small cheaply decorated plastic molded bathroom, was a cheap let down to a bit more expectations of a Crowne hotel.. For the price it was a bit underwhelming. The location was fantastic to get too and from the main purpose of going to Hiroshima.
Modern, clean and hospitable.”
The hotel was centrally located, walking distance from the Peace Memorial, museum and the Hiroshima castle. Lots of shopping and restaurants were also within walking distance. The rooms were impeccably clean and modern. The linens were white, crisp and super comfortable. The staff was attentive and friendly. A pretty good breakfast was included with each nights stay consisting of traditional Japanese and Continental favorites. Nothing was overlooked. There was an extra charge for the swimming pool, which was disappointingly small and broken into swimming lanes, and another charge for the spa. Only the exercise equipment was included in the room rate, and this can be improved.
Great location, but beware of smoke-filled rooms”
Hiroshima's ANA Crowne Plaza is superbly located only a block away from the peace park on the one side and a lively shopping and entertainment district on the other. It is spacious though somewhat outdated and, as most Japanese hotels in major cities, has a friendly staff that speaks reasonably good English. The major downside is that the rooms we were offered were smoke-filled to an extent that I literally wasn't able to go past the doorstep. As non-smokers we had to upgrade to rooms, which added 30% to our hotel bill.
Comfortable room, bad view, slow internet”
easy access from hiroshima station. the staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english well. the hotel itself was very clean and classy. the room was clean and the a/c was cold. the bed was comfortable with an alarm clock on the headboard. there was a good supply of coffee and snacks. the downside was that the only view was a plain brick building across the street. the internet was free, but it awfully slow. overall i would still give the hotel a high recommendation.
Very friendly, New ferrari in the lobby!”
the staff were helpful and friendly, especially seeing as we probably do not look like the normal clientele who would stay at the ana. (young, jeans + t shirt and a backpack!) however we were welcomed like old friends and everything went smoothly, unlike some other hotels we have stayed in of similar benchmarks. checkout time is 11am, and that extra hour compared to most hotels really helps! the skybar is also nice, sit back and enjoy the view with a few cocktails.
Next to Hiroshima Memorial Museum”
We stayed for one night. The hotel is very clean with friendly and helpful staff. Amazing City views from the room if you're lucky to be high enough. Five minutes taxi ride to the station. Five minutes walk to the shopping centres and famous New York New York restaurant, and right next to Hiroshima Memorial Gardens. Only downfall is the restaurants in the hotel are too expensive to eat.
