“The location is rated 200 points. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious!”
I stayed for two nights in August. The deciding factors were that I wanted to participate in the Gunkanjima tour and that Glover Garden and Oura Cathedral were very close by. The room I stayed in wasn’t exactly new, but it was clean and I was able to open my suitcase. I could also step out onto the balcony from my room. The amenities were minimal, without lotion or anything like that. They provided cotton swabs and cotton pads, and I could also get a razor if needed. I received one bottle of water per day. There was a FamilyMart just a minute away from the hotel, so I bought additional tea and makeup remover. I thought it would have been better if the coffee in the room was in drip pack form, but there were free coffees that I could take back to my room after having breakfast, which was nice! Right across the hotel is a Chinese restaurant called Shikairou, and their champon was really delicious. (It was on a level of being impressive compared to the other two places!) The best I've had so far. I walked along Glover Street, passed in front of Oura Cathedral, and headed to Glover Garden. It was a great workout. And although it's limited to summer, the night view at Glover Garden was nice. The night view tour of Inasayama also came to pick us up at the bus stop right below the hotel. Staying here was the right choice! If you walk about 10 to 12 minutes down Oranda Street, you'll reach Chinatown. There’s also Oranda-zaka along the way, so walking is good too. If you take the streetcar, it often required transferring at Shinchiku Chinatown. On the way back, I headed to the airport from the bus terminal at Shinchiku Chinatown. The staff at the hotel were all incredibly accommodating. There was a good balance of experienced and younger staff, and I felt that the younger ones received excellent training. Everyone provided warm support, and I was able to create the best memories of Nagasaki.
