Excellent location for the price”
Location was excellent, right in the middle of the city. Room was a tad small, but not an issue as most hotels are small in japan. Room facilities are decent, but it would be good if it came with a safe box. Staff are friendly and extremely welcoming.
Functional hotel in a great location”
A functional hotel with all the basic necessities. Staff are courteous; there are a few that speak good English. Easy access to shopping, eatery and transportation (trains and bus lines to major tourist spots).
good hotel in Sapporo”
The hotel has more than twenty floors. But they will not always offer you high floor. May be you have to pay more for a higher floor and a better view. The price is include tax but without breakfast. If you wanna breakfast, you have pay extra fee. I think you have to decide where to eat and to buy things.
Great location & convenience”
I arrived in Sapporo via a free shuttle bus provided by a resort hotel at Lake Toya. The drop off point was just outside Sapporo JR Train Station and it was snowing heavily and temperature was below zero degree. It was impossible to walk on surface road. We got into train station and walk thru underground walkway. To our surprise, the hotel is right outside exit 21. The hotel room has great view of the city, we enjoyed the view of snowing from our room. The room may be small for western standard, but quite spacious for Japanese standard. We enjoyed the breakfast on level 24 with great city view and the Japanese set breakfast was fantastic. There are many good Japanese Reataurants around the hotel and walking distance to many tourist attractions like the Odori Park, clock tower and Former Hokkaido Government Office Buidling, Hokkaido University, etc. We took the last suttle bus to Chitose Airport at 3.30pm and arrived at about 7pm due to heavy snowing, it costs us only 1000 yen per head (again very cheap for Japanese Standard). The hotel's great location provided hassle free transfer to many other Hokkaido tourist attractions, including airport tranfer.
I like this hotel”
Nice location, easy to walk, approximately 10-15 mins, to many interesting places such as train station, the malls, Sapporo TV tower, Odori park, fish market and so on. Also, staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Gd location ”
Hotel was nice , do not get the 2bedders, the room is Super tiny . Other sites provided breakfast with room .
underground passageway link between jr station to ana crowne plaza hotel (exit 21)”
can avoid heavy snow at ground level between hotel and jr station.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and convient location.
Nice hotel, sweet house keeper, nice location!! Room which has renovation is super nice. But some rooms might not have renovation yet which is a little bit old with smell of cigarette. Overall, this hotel is excellent. I've already recommended ANA Crowne Plaza Sapporo to my friends.
The Front Desk Personnels are very approachable and respectful. ”
Front Desk Personnels are friendly and approachable. Despite of their difficulty to speak in english, they still able to manage to engage with foreign guests. Location is very convenient, near in the subway station, family mart or seico convenient stores. Our room is always clean. They have assigned housekeeper to clean the room everyday. Overall, the hotel is higly recommended to all travellers who would want to explore Sapporo Japan. Kudos! to ANA Crowne Plaza
We had our breakfast at the second floor which offered more choices than the other 2 restaurants. We came for breakfast at 9:45 and they end breakfast at 10 we we took all what we can finish for breakfast. Before 10 the manager I suppose went up to us and speaking in Japanese I thought was telling us that breakfast is until 10 only. So I gestured ok. About 10:10 he went back to us telling us again pointing to his watch. So again I gave him a smile and nodded. Then again and again he went back like every 5 minutes. ( SO RUDE ) we’re supposed to relax and enjoy our breakfast and conversation but he keeps interrupting !!! The last time he came to our table I told him ok I know it’s past then but can we finish our breakfast?! He seems disappointed. For me HELLO !!! We’re hotel guests aren’t you suppose to treat your guests with respect and let them be !!! We would never go back to this hotel again !!! Their rooms and beds are fine but the staffs hardly speak English .
Overstated and Overpriced hotel”
The price is too overprice even though the locations was good, there is no mineral water in the hotel room, no business centre to print any materials and I find the escalator connecting from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor lobby\reception counter is not so presentable. Overall the hotel looks old even though it is clean. The room is very small and have to put luggage on the small table in order to open it. However, the breakfast was very good with a lot of Hokkaido produce. You are also require to order food and drinks which I find is a bit rigid. The concierge guy was also very unhelpful in booking the taxi to the airport for me.
Very conveniently located near Sapporo station. The concierge staff are amazing! They help us in booking all our day trips at the last minute as we did not plan anything beforehand. The hotel room is well equipped and simply awesome to stay here during my trip to Hokkaido! Strongly recommend!
Not for the price”
You can get better hotels with much bigger rooms for way cheaper price in Sapporo. For a 4 star hotel, cannot even pack breakfast for us when we have to check out early morning. This is the 1st hotel I have used in my 30 years of travel who refused to pack us breakfast when we have to check out early. Not even a simple buns or cakes. We only request for buns and cakes or biscuits. But the staff refused us on the spot upon checking in.
conveniently located near train and bus station”
Check in and out was very smooth. Location near the train and bus station was great. Staff that spoke English also made getting around much easier. They also had staff that spoke mandarin. Breakfast looked great but the quality was not so good in terms of taste.
Excellent location; excellent restaurant in vicini”
No complaints. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Sapporo. For beer drinker, turn right of hotel and there is a Yakitori restaurant (same building as Richmond Hotel)that offers free flow of beer for 120 minutes at 890 yen. Good food to go with and staff speaks excellent English. Added benefit - strong wifi signals from Richmond Hotel that shares the same building. Go for it.
Comfortable stay in a great location”
Stayed at the ANA on route to skiing. Stay was comfortable and easy. Location is unbeatable with convenient access to transportation, dining, shopping and major tourist spots. Hotel room is functional although small. Staff are friendly and a couple can speak an adequate level of English.
A good hotel”
While it may not be the most preferred choice of travellers due to its geographical locatiin, ANA Hotel Sapporo is just five to ten minutes walk to the JR Station Complex. Just a few blocks away, there is a crab restaurant that is a must-try for king crab lovers.
I really enjoyed my stay here, the view of the city covered in snow was great. The location of the hotel is quite central & the room wqs very clean & comfortable. The staff were also very friendly & helpful. I would stay here again.
Good and Basic Hotel”
its a good hotel that is very suitable for business trips. its relatively near the subway and easily identified. it meets a traveler's needs so well that it didn't leave any impression. and i mean this in a good way.
